****TERRIBLE "SERVICE"!!!**** **** BELLIGERENT ATTITUDE!!!**** I have had very good service with UPS stores in the past and I normally get service with a smile. Despite many of these kinds of stores being very busy this time of year, I have never before had a bad experience even waiting in a long line at a UPS store because people are rushing to either get their gifts to their loved ones on time, or are in a hurry to return items because they need to get back to work. However, this is the WORST UPS store I have ever had the misfortune of entering in terms of service. As soon as I stepped in the door, I was "greeted" with a surly attitude by the employee closest to the door. There was no line so I went directly up to this employee for service and the whole experience ended up like "pulling teeth" or going to the dentist to have a root canal, it was so painful. If this UPS store had been filled with customers, I could've understood it. We all get busy and have bad days because we feel overwhelmed with work - - but this was not the case here in this all but empty store. So I finally got frustrated with how intentionally unhelpful the person at the counter seemed to be, and just ended up telling them why I was unhappy, saying "goodbye", and walking out without having completed but a small part of my business I went to the store to get done. I am writing this review the next day after having reflected on this experience for over 24 hours, and I am looking for an alternate location to get my shipping business done. If this were a factory and they were producing goods, then you might expect zero to no decent customer service. But this is essentially a "service" business, so how is it that their service is so terrible? My advice is to AVOID this UPS store like the plague because, if you're like me, you're very busy and you don't need the frustration that comes from employees hassling you and refusing to do their job effectively, efficiently, and with a smile. From a look at the reviews...There are SERIOUS issues with UPS Store #2074 that aren't being addressed by the franchise owner. I sent a package from UPS Store #2074 15 days ago that was supposed to arrive the next day. I was taken aback by the rudeness of the employees. I usually use USPS (Which I will from now on) and fill out the information, myself so I was unfamiliar with the UPS process. The employee didn't ask me to verify the information and told me to "SIGN HERE!" The package didn't arrive the next day. I attempted to track the package to no avail. I called the store for assistance and was treated rudely. 15 days later, I receive a very rude voicemail that the package had been returned because of no apartment number. No instructions on how to proceed, no "have a nice day"...just hung up. (It turns out there WAS an apartment number entered...see #2 below...) I went in to get the package and was told that I could not get a refund, and that I would have to file a claim, once again treated very rudely. I went home and attempted to file a claim, I wasn't able to. I called to file a complaint about the service I received at this store, #2074, and found out that: 1. A claim isn't the appropriate course to follow, the instructions I received from the store staff was incorrect. 2. The apartment number was entered incorrectly by the UPS Store employee. 3. That I CANNOT get a refund because I signed. How about that. Congratulations, you ripped off a disabled veteran. read more

I have been using this store for my mailing needs for several years. I have never had an issue until now. I sent a package with some baby clothes and the recipient received the package with the more name brand clothing taken out of it and the package opened and taped up (large bubble mailer) which is not the way it was shipped. One would think that it was at this store because they knew what the contents were but it could have been the sorting facility as I was told by the manager. My complaint is the way this was handled, the manager immediately blamed it on the sorting facility without looking into it. I called the sorting facility, they immediately sent me back to the store. I called customer service, the answer was return to the store or file a claim. The claim process is complex, they want you to jump thru hoops to prove what you entrusted them to send. It includes giving them your bank info ( why would I do that and part of my package was stolen from me) A paper check takes between 14-28 days. I called back to the store again and the associate was rude, she said " there is nothing she could do so for me to call back" I'm going to take that loss and I will never do business with UPS again in life. I was failed on so many levels. I would rather someone stole the entire package instead of items out of it and sent it taped up. So UPS employs selective thieves. read more

Holy cow! I have never spent 30 minutes to mail two traceable letters. No, there was no line. The owner appeared intoxicated as he attempted to help me. After the first one, the helpful associate was cleaning up, and I asked if she'd accidentally thrown away my tracking number. The owner then stated he had handed me the tracking number as I stood there with nothing in my hand. Then the helpful associate stated the tracking number would print when I was done with the full transactions. So, then I said, "so, you didn't actually give me anything?" He then literally denied he had said it to my face 30 seconds prior. I do t expect gaslighting when I'm mailing letters. Never never again. Oh yes, he also was totally condescending, and literally told me very slowly, "This is U...P...S" seriously the most odious "customer service" person I think I've ever experienced. Her death glare and stare down tactics are next level. She did not want to be there. The guy was rude as well. Whole place reeked of poor morale and training. I needed to return a few things a couple of days after Christmas, and even though I'm in the neighborhood, I realized I've never reviewed this little store. Every time I've been here, the service has been fast and friendly. And UPS is often a faster and less expensive way to send packages, so that's a win-win. This last time when I was in, a second young man came out from the back once he realized I was in line. He apologized for my wait, though it had probably only been a few moments. The only weird thing (and this is a small thing, for sure, but it could possibly cause a problem. I was shipping something (a Rent the Runway dress) that had to be to UPS by noon. In typical fashion, I was running late getting all my errands run, but my phone said 11:48 when I left the store. I looked at my receipt, and it said 12:03. So, not a big deal, unless the dress had gotten to them late and they had tried to charge me, the receipt would have shown I was late getting it in. I estimate the clocks were off by about 15 minutes, and not in the customer's favor. Overall, wonderful service and I'll be back a lot. read more

I went in on Monday to mail a box of goodies and shtuff to the kiddos vacation in AZ for the summer. The young man behind the counter was so nice. He answered all of my questions and even wrapped up a couple of my items in bubble wrap for free. (my favorite price) He gave me several options for shipping the box. I asked a couple questions about business cards and other printing services they offered - for future information. He was super easy going about answering all my questions. Well I had to return to the UPS store because I lost my tracking number. I felt so irresponsible, but hoped they could help me. Yep! Super nice about it and let me know that my pkg was right on time. The first visit I chalked the employee's rude and condescending attitude up to being busy, there was a line in the store of 3 people. But the second time was no different. She acted as though she was doing me a favor and that favor was really annoying her, she talked down to me, and her tone was extremely aggressive and unprofessional. There was a ring on the store phone while she was in the middle of helping me and she said "That better not be (name)" she looked at the caller ID and scoffed. She was complaining to the customer in front of me that she was the only employee that showed today and she hasn't had a chance to put away boxes, but her breakfast/lunch was on the back counter opened. While in the middle of me talking, she started addressing the customer behind me asking how he was doing. I'm an incredibly passive person so I didn't bother to make a problem in store, but I wonder how many verbal fights this woman gets into with customers that aren't as passive just based on her aggressive attitude. Updated review: They've gotten their act together and Susan is awesome. I walk in and they know me by name...I email print jobs and it gets done. I think they just needed to work the kinks out of having new management and help. I miss Josh and the other guys, but life goes on. Parking still sucks sooo bad, so four stars. If I could give this store a rating less than 1 star I would. They are the worst! I sent a gift to another state earlier this month. I sent it in the same packaging the manufacturer used and did not buy packing services from the store. I clearly gave them the cost and sent the package in good faith. Once the package reached the home of the receiver, the receiver heard a loud boom and went to the door to see what hit her house. The UPS driver was getting into his truck and pointed at the box he had just thrown onto her porch. Of course, the item is now broken. This store holds no liability and claims UPS is not to blame because I did not purchase more packing from them. While I am not a big business, I ship several hundred dollars worth of packages a year, and I will never send another via UPS or this store. No integrity and no customer service. The post office would have apologized and paid the claim immediately. Three weeks later and we are still waiting for word from UPS corporate. What a farce! read more
