I have used this UPS location for years not only for my personal use but also professionally. They have always handled all of my mailings as well as returns with care. i know with absolute certainty that my parcel will be delivered safely and on time. Horrible customer service, and this store nickels and dimes you. They literally charge for tape which is ridiculous.

My previous experiences here have been fine, but I dealt with a very rude worker today. Brought a return bag with label and was told in a snotty tone, "Make sure you tape the bag up next time. In a couple of weeks when the line is out the door we won't have time to tape up bags, so we'll be charging to tape labels and bags. But I'll let you go this time." First, how gracious of you, Sire, to afford me such a grand gesture of generosity. God bless thee. Second, what's the charge for taping up a bag? Because contrary to urban myth, the average American household doesn't keep packing tape at the ready for the occasional return via UPS. I think I'd be willing to pay a few bucks for grumpy pants to complete this task, which is quite complex and requires great skill if I am to judge by the apparent stress this task seems to cause him. Third, if your objective is to cut down on "lines out the door" and reduce wait time, the. adding ANOTHER STEP in the process of packaging a pre-paid return by running a credit card for "professional taping charges" ain't a strategic solution, captain grumpy pants. Today, 7/20/20, I was subjected to discrimination on the basis of race. I entered The UPS Store located at 1029 Peachtree Pkwy N, Peachtree City, GA 30269. When I entered the store there were no other customers around. The associate did not greet me. He just turned around with his back toward me looking at something on the counter behind the register. About one minute later, a Caucasian lady entered the store, the associate turned around and still did not greet me. I told him I was next, the associate look at me and said I am going to help her with the box. I patiently waited until the associate set the box down, then I said, "Can you take care of my packages since I was next. The associate said pointing, "You go stand over there". The associate ignored me and proceeded to take care of the Caucasian lady. The Caucasian lady never said, "Sir take her first since she was here before me." The associate made the Caucasian lady think she was entitled. When the associate approach the counter to service me, I shared with him that I was not treated with customer service and I was discriminated against. The associate never apologized. In addition, as I was typing up this letter, I noticed the associate gave me a receipt for my packages with an incorrect drop off time. I know this to be a fact, because when I returned to my car I called the store at 10:02am, because I needed to get the associate's name. So I called the store at 10:02 am. I asked to speak to the manager. The man on the phone said I am the manager and franchise owner, Robert. Robert was the associate who exhibited poor customer service and discriminated against me when I visited the UPS Store located at 1029 Peachtree Pkwy N, Peachtree City, GA 30269. I am very concerned about the rude racial mistreatment as an African American woman and how race discrimination still continues to spread through subliminal tactics such as what I experience today. No one should ever feel unwelcomed in any store. Everyone should experience positive customer service, whereby the customer is valued and needs are met with excellence without being discriminated on the basis of race. read more

They are incapable of helping you with anything and this if my 5th time having to come here because UPS delivers during the day when I'm at work and won't leave my packages without being signed. Brian who I had the misfortune of talking to acted as if it was a burden for him to locate my package which stated on the UPS notice was delivered there. Charged me $106 + the cost of the box to overnight a very small prescription bottle. Clerk never gave me any of the lower priced options to get the medication to the destination later in the day, but still overnight. This medication was being sent to Rochester, Minnesota for a veteran who has had an organ transplant and was seeking medical attention at The Mayo Clinic. This shipment was without any stretch of the truth/facts was a life or death situation. I called Fed Ex later that night and learned they could ship the medication for $76 to as low as $46 and still arrive overnight. Definitely WON'T use UPS again. And yes, what a way to pay homage to those who have served and paid a very high price for their service to our country. I emailed the store 2 very important print orders on Monday, to be picked up Wednesday. Staff confirmed he had orders, as we went back & forth with emails several times. I show up Wednesday and not only are the orders NOT ready, the owner, who is sitting there hearing the exchange, does not apologize. NOT ONCE, even after I asked him if he was going to apologize for what happened. He did not care AT ALL about my order or my business. Extremely poor customer service. And again, he was the OWNER. Jennie, the manager was rude and had a nasty attitude when I asked for my returned package to be reshipped because they misdelivered it or didn't attempt at all, causing it to sit at a holding location and then eventually be returned. She informed me that I would need to pay again to have it reshipped. When I asked for the manager she said, "His name is Robert Barton, he's not here and he's not going to give your money back." Mind you, the recipient of where the package was to be delivered said that there was not a note left on the door informing them that UPS attempted delivery. VERY disparaging customer service. Please do not gamble on trusting them to be helpful, civil or courteous. It will not happen. This place should be "gutted" and turned into a FED EX store. I have always had great service here and I am a frequent customer. The workers are always speedy and very helpful. I can bring in a shipment that hasn't been packaged and they will pack it up and get it prepared for me. I've been a customer for over 10 years. I read complaints about paying $1 for taping a package but people don't realize that a roll of tape costs $3-$4. So, go ahead and buy your own tape. Yes, shipping costs are high, but that is determined by UPS shipping rates, not the store. I've known Robert, Alice and Brian for years and they've been super helpful. They've forwarded mail to me when I needed it. They've checked my box when I'm looking for a piece of mail. They've checked the sender when I receive a package I'm unaware of. As for comments about they staff being distracted by cell phones... they've always put their devices away when I walk in. As for being rude, that's a new one. I've never heard them be rude but I've seen a lot of customers be rude to them, especially during the holiday season when they are working long hours trying to get everyone's packages shipped. I'm not saying that it didn't happen... but that there are always 2 sides and more people will take the time to write a bad review than to share a positive experience.
