The UPS website has this policy: " The UPS Store and other UPS Access Point locations can hold your package for up to seven calendar days at no additional charge". They charge $5.99, which I paid. The store manager at 2604 Elmwood Ave - the Brighton Twelve Corners UPS store - charged a $35 "storage fee" for a package delivery that had happened minutes before, because it was "large", and because it was an Amazon return. She said that UPS policy was irrelevant. The UPS Store and UPS are two separate companies. I asked her where could I see this "storage fee" policy and she answered "You hear it when you come in here". Box held a 16.5"D x 19.69"W x 5.88" (small vanity sink). Pretty sure they have some sort of issue with Amazon returns, but I was ripped off. read more

This location is very messy and unorganized -physically and figuratively- the gaslighting was unacceptable. There are boxes everywhere because they double as an Amazon return center. I purchased 20 labels for a subscription service that I'm running and dropped the packages off at this location. After a week, the packages had not moved so I called the store to inquire about my packages. A rude young woman made no effort to look around for my parcels and immediately told me that whatever had been dropped off would have been accounted for. When I produced a drop off receipt, she then claimed it was the responsibility of the UPS driver and the sorting center to update the tracking info. Then why scan the packages at the store? In all of my years of using UPS, the tracking will usually show the package has at least left the store. They said there was nothing they could do about my 20 lost packages and I'd have to call corporate. After my call, half of the packages immediately started moving and were delivered. Then almost 3 weeks later the other 10 packages were shipped from this location. I paid for 2-day ground shipping on all of these orders and it took 2-4 weeks for them to even leave the store so, of course, I'm requesting a refund from corporate. If you are sending something that you want to arrive on time do not bother with this location because they will get to you when they get to you. read more

I mailed 18 boxes of my deceased mother's treasures at a cost of $1100. Several boxes went missing and boxes they packed valuable dishes were broken and some items were missing from boxes. I have been going to this store for 20 years. I don't know how or when it happened but there has been a serious decline, not only in appearance and upkeep of the store but the staff possesses zero customer service skills. They behave as if they are bothered to do their job. After speaking to the management of the store it became quite evident that this was a systemic issue as the Management had zero managerial skills. Let me begin by saying, that I like using UPS, I've even gotten to know some of the drivers. I recently placed an order that would be next day delivery and I'm fine with the extra fees. Apparently, the driver attempted to deliver twice to my apartment building and left a note stating to pick it up at the near by UPS location. This is fine. The following day, I went to the location and because I don't have the same last name as my Fiancé, they couldn't release the item. Ok, I totally understand. What boggles my mind is that today, he went to grab the package and they told him they don't have it. With out even checking to see if it was there. We went back and spoke to someone else and he proceeded to argue with me that it was not there. It had been a couple of days since the package was there. Pure laziness and unprofessional. read more

Horrible experience working with The UPS Store on Park Ave. My experience using this store: I shipped an iMac computer from them using packaging purchased and recommended by them and packed according to UPS guidelines. This computer was destroyed in shipping and even though they sold me insurance on the package up to $700, nothing was covered. They continue to deny my claim and point me to UPS Corporate, which continues to point me back to this UPS Store. This never ending circle of misdirection is what they rely on to force you to give up. Here's my message to UPS and the UPS Store: stop selling scam insurance and treat your customers better. I will never use UPS again and will be filing complaints and pursuing class action to get my claim paid. P.S. When I finally went back to the store to pick up my destroyed computer, the staff took about fifteen minutes to find the box, which was right in front of them. I went in to post a letter I just needed tracked shipping, cardboard envelope, usually takes five minutes. He takes my letter and starts measuring it with a ruler. He starts asking me for the zip code and I give it to him and he stops. Telling me he wants the zip code not a phone number. I am stressed at this point. I have seen this boy measure my envelop, weigh it, pick it up and put it down. I wouldn't be surprised if he sniffed it. Didn't know what the fuck I was talking about. I had to explain that the PO usually just puts it in a cardboard envelope and puts a big tracking sticker on it. He goes "I'm not the post office" I'm so fed up with this place, he was so incompetent that I spent ten minutes watching him weigh my mail. And still didn't manage to mail my letter. read more

Although this location is convenient to my house I had a very bad experience this morning with one of the employees. I was in a rush needed to mail a fur jacket I sold online the employee told me that I need to print my label which I have not had to in the past. He directed me to the computer. I asked for assistance and he rudely asked me whether or not I knew how to use the internet. The disrespect I have noticed towards black women at the hands of white and Latino males is only getting worse and to be honest not what I needed this morning. He probably won't last long on the job and I feel as though he should be fired. Please employ employees who are not rude to your customer . Hours posted here and on ups's website are WRONG. They close at 3:30 on Saturdays. They keep the "open" sign lit up and the lights on after they're closed just to make you think they might be open. Also, why isn't there a drop box by this store? That's all I do at the UPS store, and they don't even have a drop box, so they make you go when the store's open even though that hours are wrong. Why should we have to put up with this? read more

Sometimes great, if you get one of the wonderful employees, sometimes distressingly annoying if y9ou get one of the duds. Like today: I walk in with 30 posters rolled up into a box that I received via UPS. "You need a shipping tube" the kid who has been shipping things about as long as he has been driving (2 years maybe?) says to me. "Too many posters," I say, "I can't roll them all up into a shipping tube. I just need a little more bubble wrap." "I can sell you bubble wrap, but your real problem is your box, which doesn't qualify as a shipping box," he says about the box that I received something via UPS in. "I suggest one of our UPS qualified shipping boxes." How about just helping me ship my stuff? Or better yet, train your help to help me, not to try and sell me stuff I don't need? Sigh. read more

I paid to have a large package delivered. They missed me on the first day (which was not the day they said it would be delivered) and failed to return. I called and they bluntly said they weren't going to deliver it and I had to come pick it up from this location. I went to the store at 11:30am on a Wed. and apparently the owner had forgotten to open the store that day. An employee arrived at the same time as me and opened the store. It took 40 minutes before I was helped with shipping my package. The employee said that it takes a very long time to boot up the computer system. While I was waiting to be helped, another employee had arrived. For the next 30 minutes he proceeded to argue with the other about work hours. They bickered and yelled at each other right in front of me. It made the whole experience utterly unbearable. This UPS store has the worst customer service and the most incompetent staff I have ever encountered. I actually had a great experience with this store, and was a little surprised to see all of the negative reviews. Maybe it's because I wasn't actually shipping something, but using their printing services. I had waited last minute (as always) to get some programs printed up for a show that I had on Thursday evening. Was a bit pressed for time, and wasn't looking forward to trekking out to Henrietta to us another well known printers services. Was pleasantly surprised to find that these guys do printing as well, and are right around the corner from my home. Even more surprising was their price per page was cheaper than the other place I was looking at, and the prices at that place were self serve! Placed my order online at about 10am and the site said that it would be done at about 3:30. Got a text at 12:30pm telling me that it was already done. Got to the shop, checked my order only to find that the pages hadn't printed longways, but vertical on the page. Freaking out because I thought it was something that I did, the employees were super helpful and explained that this happens often and it's something that you have to request in the notes section of your order. No questions asked, they reprinted my whole order for no charge. About 70% through the order I noticed that the pages, while printed in the right orientation, were printing upside down on one of the pages. Found out again that this was yet another thing that had to be special requested when placing the order. But, once again they restarted and reprinted the entire order for no charge. Not once did they make me feel dumb, or even balk at the fact that we had to go through this process 3 times before getting it right. I'll definitely be back. read more

Never a problem I frequent this small local office of UPS weekly, for mailing and copying. They can be busy--they are a small office--but I have never had an excessive wait and I am always treated respectfully. Very poor customer service. Had to return 2 boxes on one order because the product was defective. The boxes were in perfect condition, sealed and ready to go. After standing there for about 5 minutes the 1st representative said he could only print one label so I said lets tape the 2 boxes together to return them even though it was 2 separate boxes when I received them from UPS. He said I would have to buy tape. Really, about 4 feet of clear packing tape was all that was needed to attach them and he wants me to buy a whole roll. The other rep jumped in and said "that's a lot of tape". What a joke, I own a business and pack stuff all the time. He wasted more money talking than the cost of the tape. I told them that had poor customer service. I went to the Gates UPS Store. As always greeted with a friendly hello and what can we do for you. Helped put them together and I was literally in and out of the store in 20 seconds. That's CUSTOMER SERVICE I will never recommend the Park Ave store to anyone! read more
