I went to the UPS store to get some documents notarized. I didn't need nor did I have an appointment. Told the gentleman what I needed and another young man came out from the back. He reviewed the documents and quickly notarized them. I was in and out within 10 to 15 minutes. read more

Didn't have my PREORDERED prints ready. Guy's confusing me asking for a tracking # (didn't have one just an order #) then their machine is broken. I've been coming to this UPS Store for a very long time, they are very helpful and never give you a tough time. The younger gentleman I don't know his name but he wears glasses and typically has an Adidas hat on, really nice kid very helpful. The older gentleman isn't too bad as well, he might be the owner I've been seeing him for years. They're usually nice if you forget to bring tape, they don't sit there and try to charge you $5 to buy a roll of tape just to close your packet. Will definitely come here again. This UPS store is very convenient for my business. They already have my usual shipping addresses saved, so there was never an issue with my packages reaching their destinations. One particular time I needed to ship something, but I was leaving my own business unattended, the guy there offered to bring me my receipt and change for me. Granted, I am walking distance away, but it was still a very kind gesture. To be honest, in business, people just want their stuff done. Certain things cost more than they normally would cost because of the pure convenience. In my opinion as long as it gets done correctly, the pleasantries are not my top priority. As far as the negative reviews on here...I don't know the specifics, but I believe the gentleman mentioned has experienced some sort of trauma and he has been a little different afterwards. As long as said package gets from point A to point B in an undamaged and timely matter, this UPS store will continually be my main shipping place. read more

This company gives zero service. Call them....and you go to the Philippines, where I can't understand one single word of English as their accents are the worst in the world. In the past, I have experienced HORRIBLE rude service at other UPS stores. Therefore, because of my stellar Customer Service experience today at another location, I thought they needed a nice little review. A nice young man helped me with my laptop computer that I brought in to be sent away to my company. I walked in with it in my hands, along with my pre-populated UPS package slip. He sort of smiled and said, "no, no! you want me to pack it?!!" He was kidding of course. My work day had been quite challenging, and he made me laugh. Because of my nasty UPS store experiences in the past, I kind of went in there tentatively expecting the worst. So, anyway... YAY UPS Torrance! And boo to the other UPS's in Redondo that have been nasty and unhelpful to me. BECAUSE My clients ask that I Use their UPS ACCOUNT for SHIPPING, I would NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE!!! The door was locked 20 minutes before their posted closing time on a Saturday. There were 2 employees and a customer inside that stared at me when I realized the door was locked and never acknowledged that I was waiting there for about 10 minutes before I decided I didn't want to give them my business with poor customer service like that. They want to lecture you about taping, shipping boxes, packaging, how they're not responsible for anything, they don't care about helping you if you have a question that may include more than one option. Horrible place and customer service. Came here to ship something I needed to return (Internet purchase required UPS) something. I come here thinking they would provide the free bags, like USPS or FedEx... Wrong. Initially then guy tried to give me an envelope, but i had to point out to him it was express, while i wanted ground. He proceeded to look confused and asked me to wait while he finished helping the customer he was working with. He barely spoke English. After waiting for around 5 min, the next guy available helps me and informs me that they don't have free envelopes or bags for ground. So, fine, I'll buy an envelope for 85 cents. I had preprinted my label so it was good to go. Apparently, there is a taping charge. I didn't even want to bother asking how much that was, since I was already irritated. Luckily I came prepared and brought my tape gun and went to the car to get it. As I start taping, I hand the guy my credit card be then says there is a minimum purchase. Great. So now I have to drive home to get a free box to use because they have a credit card minimum. Thanks UPS store. Now I know why I prefer USPS and FedEx. read more

I I've come to this store often in recent years, since my favorite UPS store (PCH near Smart & Final) closed. When I had my business, I was constantly evaluating and reviewing client-suppplied products. I'd bring in multiple packages, variously packaged, addressed to disparate destinations. Staff were terse, but never rude, careful and quick, not likely to want to chat or listen to a cusomer's long story. (No time!) They knew their job and did it well. I was never overcharged. On one occasion, the clerk showed me how to repackage some items to reduce my shipping costs. Yet, moreso than at other UPS stores, I've not seen so many impatient, short-tempered, impolite customers, particularly those returning products to Amazon. To their credit, the staff did not respond in kind. I removed one star, probably unfairly, because not everyone on staff quite managed to match the high standard of courtesy and competence that the store manager, Mr.Taeko Kuwahara, manifestly has set for himself. Just went their 3 minutes before 5PM, their closing. I wanted to drop off my ready to return package for Amazon. They already turned off the registers and computers, and the dimmed the lights. That was their reason for not being able to help us. This is not what I consider as customer service. If they want to close earlier, then they should change their hours. Your closing time is 5 then have integrity and work to what you list as the hours. Very disappointing and unprofessional. read more

I used to go here many years ago, as it is close to my house, and had to stop because of the customer service. The previous owners/employees were always rude and mad at something.
