Consistently disappointing service. In my experience this UPS Store does not follow basic package-security procedures--including requiring signatures for valuable deliveries. A recent package of mine went missing after staff failed to check ID or secure the shipment, and when I reported it the promised video review never happened until the footage was already gone. Attempts to reach management were unhelpful; I was repeatedly told the owners were unavailable and no contact information was provided. Based on these repeated issues, I cannot recommend this location for anyone needing dependable package handling or responsive management. Other UPS Stores I use follow proper safeguards, so I suggest choosing a different branch until major improvements are made. read more

I went in yesterday and had terrible service from a woman who should not be in the customer service industry. This is NOT about the lady with the colored, short hair as she is always polite. This is referring to the other ghetto person. She was complaining when I went in around 4:30 about having to wrap up a large return. When she came over to me, I handed her my return slip, and a kitchen garbage can. She immediately complained that now she had another large return to pack up. So very rude, told me my return slip "didn't a return code and or nuthin". I took my stuff and got out of there after I told her I would take it to another UPS store where they would be nicer. There was no problem at the UPS store in Pleasant Hill on Crescent Dr. She should be fired. I cannot believe they hired her in the first place. Worst service, ever and I won't be back. read more

All staff are amazing. Butt.... Can I ask a question to management?...If there is a line of 10 people and I stand in the appropriate place to pick up my package as a box holder, am I supposed to be prioritized ahead of the people in line? Often when I do this, especially if there is someone new, I end up standing there for an excessively long period of time as everyone in line is assisted - even people who came in after me. If I say anything I am treated by the people in line as if I am impatient. Please clarify your process so I may act accordingly. read more

Feb 4, i dropped off my package for shipment. First thing i told the lady was i kindly asked her to put extra tape on the label since it was lifting from the package. She didn't do it right away. She printed the receipt and i asked her again to pls reinforce the tape. It probaly only needed an inch tape on two corners. And she said she will later and put my package on the table behind her. So i left hoping she will do it hec she wanted to assist this other guy. I get it. But it only takes 5 seconds to do it. So 7 days later, my package was sent back to me without the label! Good thing i kept the original label underneath which had my address. To Ups manager store : pls know who is that employee working that day. I remember her. Definitely bad bad pooor service!!! The full figure young lady helped another guy and when she finished, she got into the office and hide over there instead of helping me when I was standing there for 15 minutes just to drop off the package. In the end, I asked her to come and take the package for me because my son was waiting in the car by himself. Their system was down which is understandable but having a line of 7 people and the workers not explaining the issue to customers in line is ridiculous. Waited 10 minutes and finally had to leave and all I needed was to return an amazon item. Not to mention the 2 workers couldn't complete a single customer before I finally left, showed no sense of urgency or triaging tasks. I started patronizing this UPS Store more often recently than Staples BECAUSE those that work here (Karen, Janet, Ethan, and Stephanie) are ALWAYS gracious, willing to help, and their copy machines are NEVER out-of-order! This UPS Store also sells those quirky, and funny, animal cards, by Avanti!! (YAY!!!) In addition, they have the mailboxes you can rent, shipping and package services, a notary, and a variety of things to purchase, if you need to send anything, as well as stamps. Pretty much a one-stop shop, as we all know. What's important is that for anything you need help with, or any questions one may have, those that work here are TRULY willing to assist, in any way possible, and don't make you feel stupid for asking. HONEST! Also, with this specific store being located in The Countrywood Shopping Center, off Bancroft, they are in a location where one can get quite a few things done -- Safeway, Panera Bread, Provident Credit Union, Cousin's Kiosk (where keys can be made, etc.), Jamba Juice, Black Bear, CVS, etc. ALL are located in this same shopping center, among other businesses, so there's convenience here. Furthermore, there IS ample parking, as well as Handicapped Parking, FREE parking, AND the entire shopping center is constantly being patrolled by Security in a Jeep -- just an added peace-of-mind. Rude!!! I came in to ship out my old nespresso pods, both of the ladies at the desk had attitudes with anyone they were helping. It wasn't even busy, they just looked miserable and wanted to take out their misery on customers. It can get busy here, but I find things to move fairly quickly and it's an easy spot to ship out a package or do Amazon returns. Some staff are faster than others, but that's expected. I went to the store this morning at 8:00 AM to drop off a few Amazon returns and was "greeted" by the most unpleasant employee I have come across. I came prepared with all the codes on my phone (like I always do when returning Amazon purchases) and this lady behind the counter just kept rudely tutting, huffing and puffing as if I was greatly inconveniencing her. And at one point she kept insisting that I should have boxed the items even though the code I had for it clearly stated, "No box or label needed". Well, I was right. The label she generated using my code stated that I did not need to pack the products. My entire visit lasted 5 minutes and there was no one else at the store. However, she acted as if she being burdened so much with a gargantuan task by and inconsiderate customer. This is unfortunate. I will go out of my way to avoid this UPS store despite its close proximity to my home. I needed an item shipped to BC and told the employee it was important to get there in next few days. She marked the package wrong and it got caught up in customs for 2 weeks with a lot of hassle to get it out. When I nicely let her know what happened she said she knew and that I was the one that "forced" her to put the items at a higher value than she thought. I gave her that amount only when she was asking me if I wanted to purchase insurance. I even asked her if this would be a problem with customs. I'm frustrated because she blamed it on me and admittedly said she didn't know this insurance amount was a problem. As if she didn't need to know this! I can tolerate the painful mistake but not her complete lack of any responsibility. The manager failed to step in despite hearing what her employee was saying. Whenever I've needed to drop off a pre-paid package using UPS, I've found this to be a reliable location with friendly and helpful employees. They never acknowledged me at all until finally one chubby young woman came out and said are you waiting for something and I said yes to mail something. 5 Stars for Ethan and the team at this store. I had just spent 2 days chasing around a package that another UPS Store had completely screwed the pooch on. This was irreplaceable items being sent to the UK and things were bungled so badly at the other store that by the 3rd phone call I literally drove down and told them to give me my package back because I had zero confidence it would ever get to the destination and drove down to the next closest store which was the UPS store on Bancroft. I walked into this store expecting more frustration but within a few minutes Ethan and the Bancroft store it was the complete opposite experience, they were very competent and professional, and they weren't interrupting me every 5 minutes to say something rude to me or the other customers like the other place. They even helped slim my package down a bit to save on shipping. Was it cheap to ship these few meager items to Scotland? No it was not. Waited a half hour in line, only for them to tell me and a lady before me they didn't have our packages and the ups driver probably marked it as delivered to meet quota. Real vote on confidence in your fellow employees...two customers in a row, having their packages delivered on different day, are both marked as delivered to fill a quota? The UPS Store showed a full list of notary appointments for Saturday. When I booked one online, I got two confirmation emails. When I arrived for my appointment, the indolent clerk at the counter informed me that their store didn't offer notary services on Saturday. When I told him about the two confirmations, he said those were done "online" and didn't change his store policy. He refused to contact a supervisor and advised me to come back on Monday. I won't be going back to that store. There are laws against this kind of false advertising. That appointment schedule has been in place for over four weeks without a change. I showed up on time the day of and was told "we aren't supposed to accept appointments and also the person to do the notary isn't in until 12." So why did I receive a confirmation email and another email reminding me of my appointment when they don't even accept appointments and clearly created appointment times that do not reflect the services they can provide? I provided my name and order number, the lady just stared at me like I was speaking a foreign language. I persisted and told her I had an order printed and she began handing me peoples orders to search through on my own, I found my order and told her I need stamps and envelopes to mail. She got very emotional and said "we don't have stamps, the envelopes are behind you". I looked and the envelopes were not suitable, and overpriced. I left with my order and now need to find a place with stamps and envelopes to mail my order. read more

My boyfriend and I were mailing care packages to our families in Illinois this holiday season. I had heard on the radio that the post office was guaranteeing Christmas delivery up until 12/20 so we had everything ready on that morning to send. As we were leaving the house, I asked him if we should do the UPS store that he had gotten the boxes from earlier. He said sure so we headed there instead of the post office. The kid who helped us at first was nice but after putting everything into the system, he told us that the cost would be $36 a box and would be delivered two days after Christmas. I told him about what I had heard about the post office and asked if I should go there. He seemed surprised this was possible and told me I probably should. At this point, another lady walked out and looked at what he was doing and said to us "Good luck with that" in a very snooty voice. I was very taken back by her tone and attitude. I get that she was upset that she wasn't getting our business but they weren't able to deliver what we needed for us. It didn't seem to be any reason to be rude to the customer! I wanted to support them but it's not my fault they couldn't give us what we needed. In other news, we went to the post office, used the self help machine, and got everything sent with the delivery by Christmas for $24 a box. read more

This is a really small store in the Countrywood Shopping Plaza. Honestly, I've probably driven past it a million times going between Safeway and Artie's Countrywood Lounge, but it didn't immediately come to mind when I was looking up UPS store locations yesterday. I went in to drop off an overnight priority package that was already sealed, addressed, labeled, and ready to go. I didn't really want to wait in line just to drop it off so I walked up to the front and asked where I should place the package. The service wasn't super friendly and I felt a little uncomfortable just setting it on the counter like I was instructed, as the girl walked away. If there isn't a bin to put a letter sized package in, perhaps the girl could've just taken it in her hand. Either way, it was nice to find a drop-off location that hadn't picked up their overnights by 11 a.m. on a Saturday. read more

I Came to the store with my mother to have a document notarized. After waiting a good 10 minutes for the notary, she finally "helped" us. We had one document to be notarized. The document had misspelled my mothers last name. However, there was another document from the escrow company stating if any names were to be changed on the notarized document that the notary, along with the customer would need to inital this. After explaining this to the notary I was met with silence and a very snotty look. I asked if that was okay with her and she proceeded to tell me "she just loved it when people tried to tell her how to do her job". Whoa lady....it was definitley a weird experience. At first I was nervous about breakage, but I've always gotten positive feedback from clients all over the US.
