The business is run from her home, with the treatment room in a converted garage. It's just as good as a private, city centre salon - if not better as it has a shower for use too. Parking's completely free and Rekha always makes time for her clients, even until 10/11pm if need be. But it gets even better.her prices are ASTOUNDING. For a package of full leg, full arm, bikini and underarm waxings it's JUST £21!!! That's how much a full arm wax alone costs in London. PLUS, she gives 20% student discount so I only paid only £16/17!!! Truely amazing and always a slick and perfect job. All her services are at really honest prices: a full body, 75 mins massage is only £25; a 75 mins 'continental' (full works) facial, £17 and threading from £1all before student discount too. And she's a lovely woman. Keeps you relaxed and at ease and is very nice to talk to. She felt like an aunty more than a beautician. I thoroughly recommend any treatment with Rekha and even writing about it now has made me gutted that she's not based in London : ( I'd save a fortune!

Our orginal date was for Sat 20th October 2012 at 1pm. which was fine. On the friday before my mother in law who had handled the booking, recieved a call to say that they would have to cancel our appointment due to lack of staff available to provide the treatments. They then rebooked us for Dec 1st. We stressed that by now the vouchers would be out of date but they said they would, of course hounour our bookings and vouchers and also additionally as a small token of goodwill would give us a full OPI manicure/pedicure as compensation. Dec 1st 2012 approximately 3 hrs before our appointment they again called to cancel. We spoke to the manager who appologised and said he would of course rebook us but that Saturdays were his busiest day! This is the only day i can do as i have to provide a babysitter and i work etc. He then re booked us for 2nd March 2013 2nd March 2013 - Well .... as you can imagine all morning we were awaiting a cancellation call but it never came, so with babysitter booked and having driven across Leicester we arrived at Charu. We originally went to the wrong one of the two salons( - both undergoing building works) so arriving at the second we were a little relieved to actually be there. We were asked what we wanted and we explained that we had a spa booking. Another girl joined the first and looked very worried and said she would get the manager, the first girl asked us why we hadnt been called?!? She was rude and grumpy - but we were the ones being canceled on again!!!!! The manager arrived from upstairs looking grubby and dusty like he was doing some of the construction upstairs, which we were to be told was where the spa will be but currently he dosent have a spa as its being built, and he has no staff able to provide any treatments - he offered us to sit in the building site area upstairs and watch the builders whilst sitting in a massage chair! We were there for over half an hour with the manager telling us he made no money from these deals and that he couldnt afford to honour them. He also said he is going to sell the spa side of the business soon too! I made him book us in again and he did this very very relucantly and stated that it could only be a provisional booking and the next available date that he didnt have spa bookings for was May 11th @ 12 noon?? not sure how you have full spa bookings when you have no spa but he said he probably wouldnt have staff by then either and would probably be cancelling that appoint with us too. He said his staff do not want to work but in actual fact he has no spa or facilities or staff apart from hair dressers to provide the services we had purchased vouchers for. please also not whilst there we noted at least 6 customers having their hair dyed and there were only 2 girls ther doing them.... i would not go here to get my hair or anything else done. There are loads of decent spa/nail/hair dressers around so stay clear of this guy he is a joke and so is this business!!!!

Have been to this salon for massages after a reccomendation from a colleague…read more I have had lower back problems for a few years but she must have magic hands as after a few monthly back massages it felt a lot better. She listens well & tailors the treatment accordingly. I have also had some waxing & happy with that too. I have been to quite a few beauty salons in Leicester & though this is a bit of town this is my favorite. Highly recommended.

I have tried other salons Iin the past but I return to top to toe because quite simply they are the best. They are also well informed about the latest products and treatments. There are now three generations of us girls that have the pleasure of going to to top to toe. Mother daughter's and grand daughters :)
