The Victoria Inn must have been updated since these reviews were posted over 2 years ago because the rooms look way more up-to-date than in the pictures on this Yelp account.
Anyway, a few observations upon check in:
The outside of the hotel looks great. When you walk in, the lobby is fresh and up-to-date. Great decor.
The attendant was friendly and helpful.
When we walked into the elevator, we realized how tiny it was. Very small space and compact.
Then, we walked into the bedroom (1 bed/1 bath) room and it was very tight for 2 people.
We quickly got used to the small space. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
It's not like we were staying in the room all day. We would spend most of our days touring the city and then relaxing at night so, it served us well for a more affordable price than other hotels in the city.
We went downstairs in a basement area for breakfast. Again, it was very tight and warm. The breakfast was good though.
One unique factor was they give you access to an android phone to call long-distance (for some countries) complimentary.
Also, when I did get a chance to relax at night, the TV was a good size and had a lot of channels.
So, if you are looking for an affordable rate, clean space and do not have any issues with the tightness, then this hotel may be a good fit for you. read more
