It is very clean, they have small flat screen tvs, free wireless and an ipod docking alarm. Gym is great and they have a spa on site. I haven't explored the area around the hotel yet, but for those needing a hotel for a conference at the Excel, I recommend this place greatly.

Unfortunately, all the rooms were booked and there was nothing that could be done, but Hassan took on the role of cleaning staff and tried to fix the issue. He apologized profusely for the inconvenience. It' wasn't the apology that stood out to us, it was the fact that we genuinely saw how apologetic he felt about the mishap and how hard he tried to fix our issues. The very next day we were upgraded to a bigger room. Not only did he ensure our stay was perfect but he answered all our questions, helped us get transportation to the airport, and recommended so many great restaurants around the area. I like that it's a quiet neighborhood with good access to the tube. I can walk to Bakerloo line in less than 5 minutes. The included club breakfast at Carlucci's is excellent. The staff is always kind. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed, and there's a bonus for US charging outlets for when I don't bring enough power adapters. Only complaints were that one of the lifts was out of service through our whole stay, so it always took a while to go up and down. Also, as an American who loves her ice, I was disappointed that the ice maker was always empty. But those reasons are not enough to take my stay down from 5 stars.

A big thanks to the front desk - they were able to lend me an outlet convertor when I forgot mine. I also tried the Night Menu, calling the front desk around midnight. They quickly brought the food and some additional coffee packs I had requested. The pizza was pretty standard - a typical flatbread with cheese and pepperoni. Sometimes you just need that quick and easy comfort food to tide you over for the night. Attentive and friendly staff, spacious rooms, and very accommodating bathrooms.

So after the bars close I guess guests that vape can think it's ok, they can argue vaping is not a lit cigarette. Cheers to G&Tea Lounge: We couldn't resist a stop at the G&Tea Lounge for a couple of drinks, and boy, were we in for a treat.
