The Dundee Methodist Church was founded in 1913 in Polk County. The first services were held in a…read moresmall school on Highway 8 until they moved into this building in 1913 led by Pastor Crimwell. In 1926 the church was remodeled and a Sunday school was added. The Dundee Methodist Church has been in this location for over a hundred years. Today they are a medium-sized, multiethnic congregation from the cities of Dundee, Winter Haven, Lake Wales, Haines City, Auburndale, and Davenport. I have been to this church twice since they are an official stop on the 39 Mile Scenic Highway Yard Sale. I love the charming, vintage look of this church and the congregation is always welcoming when I stop in. Although I was only passing through they offer service every Sunday at 10:30 AM and on Wednesdays they have adult bible study at 6:30 PM. If you can't make it in person you can watch service on their website and attend bible study through Zoom.

We both grew up Catholic, but seemingly the Catholic Church wasn't resonating with us in our personal life as much so we were looking for something new and fresh. We stumbled upon this Church and never looked back. The community is welcoming, kind, and the Church is lively and beautiful. We look forward to the speakers and hearing Pastor Luke every Sunday. We literally would dread going to church before, but now are excited to go. I have attended several of their Women's Events, too, which have allowed me to grow in faith and in the community. Dr. Layton also ushered in a mighty move of the Holy Spirit, bringing complete healing and refreshing to so many.
