The Vintage Cake House Farnham. Visited this shop 28/02/14. I was struck by how dirty the waitress's apron was when she came to serve us. It was not just slightly dirty it was disgustingly filthy. This makes you wonder how clean the rest of the establishment is. This shows a lack of standards and professionalism. Whilst I accept aprons will get dirty, when you are customer facing it is important to present the right image, either change the apron or take it off when front of house. Great place- but what I thought was missing was music- in mine and many friends opinions. A lovely quirky little place that I would go to again and again- but to up the atmosphere and vintage personality may we suggest some suitable music, some 1940s/50s themed music to have subtly playing in the backgroud- it would make a world of difference. read more
