Love this location! They have so mamy different brands and products displayed. Danny was super helpful. He answered every question we had. Told us about current and upcoming sales. Helped us find the best price options for the products we were most interested in. Have come here a few tomes now and he's been the one to help us, thankfully. Definitely recommend asking for him. After calling the manger with a complaint about not honoring a price that was not only advertised but rang up on the register the employee said this was incorrect. Spoke to the manager and said they would rather clearance the item then sell it at the price advertised and rang up. Prepare to be blown away... Customer service is alive and thriving at The Vitamin Shoppe!! I used to shop here years ago, and they'd fallen off my radar. There are similar shops closer to me, and have really limited their supplies. Vitamin Shoppe to the rescue! I battle the bulge, and have been in search of a dairy free protein powder. It would be so much easier if I was Little Miss Muffet! The Vitamin Shoppe carries a nice variety of protein powders that claim they have different benefits. I would love weight loss ( that worked) but was searching for a meal replacement. I love that they carry the larger " gallon" sized containers. There's a cost savings, which is great if you find a flavor that you'll like, and doesn't taste like chalk dust. I explained to the woman that helped me what my concerns are, my goals, and frustrations. She was a total pro! She showed me different options, chatted about benefits, and made suggestions. 4/16/22 Wife and I walk in to get one item. Been coming here for about 10 years. Lady asks us if we need help finding anything and we acknowledge her and politely decline. She then asks if we're sure. We politely decline. I search the flavor I want and look at some water bottles on sale. Fairly quick in and out trip to this location this time... but I'm sure I'll be back. I went in for a specific energy drink called G-Fuel by Gamma labs. I've been buying it online, but it's supposed to be available in some stores as well. I thought The Vitamin Shoppe was one of those stores was one of those stores, but I was mistaken. I did wander around a bit though, and definitely plan to come back for a deeper dive when I have more time. They might even have Inulin, who knows! The staff was very pleasant and helpful - even though they had never heard of G-Fuel, they took the time to look it up and see where it might be available and so on. While I was there, I noticed they had some drinks that could very well be competitors to G-Fuel. I will likely check those out too. read more

I've been to this location so many times, it used to be my go to. Not after today. I've been in before when busy get a hello and have been left to my vices to wander and eventually get a hello. Today I came in, 2 employees sitting at the counter. One with her feet up, a brief hello and they go back to their conversation. I walked around the whole store for 14 minutes without even a glance from these employees. Finally, as I'm leaving, they acknowledged me, and gave me a farewell. Well that's right, farewell. This place is pretty awesome. I know that anytime I come here I'm going to 1.) find exactly what I'm looking for. 2.) Pay a cheaper price than I would at GNC. and 3.) I wouldn't consider myself a full blown gym rat, but I do like to keep in shape. I dabble in supplements, and presume to know a little about a little. But whenever I come here, the staff helps find exactly what I'm looking for, and gives me invaluable information that helps me make the best decisions. Don't be fooled either. This place has alot more than just vitamins too. You'll find everything here from shampoo to tea tree oil to whey protein. I would also suggest just going to the store as opposed to shopping on the website too. The one protein powder I was looking at cost $53.00 on the website, but at the store it was only $29.99. Overall though, you'll definitely get a bigger and better selection and a more knowledgeable staff here than at GNC. read more

Located directly across the street from the Sunrise Mall off Sunrise between a Wells Fargo and Men's Warehouse, this location is ideal with plenty of parking. Whenever I have asked for help for a particular item or for a recommendation the staff has been nothing but knowledgeable. I like that when I have been in this location they are rarely busy and certainly never too busy not to ask if I need help in finding anything. The prices are very reasonable and they have a good inventory so instead of ordering online, I usually stop into the Vitamin Shoppe and get personable service with no hassles and get in n out quickly. The quality of customer service at this store has gone downhill over the years. I used to look forward to coming in and having my questions answered about various products. There used to be an eagerness on their end to help with deals (sales on items, etc.). Today my wife and I came in for a few items. We weren't greeted at all. The sales person got huffy when we asked to exchange two BOGOs for another. We didn't realize we picked up the wrong size items. He saw we were confused and said nothing to help. I will never come to this location again. I went to buy weight loss items and uses my card for the purchase. Later that month I saw extra charges on my card. I found out that I was signed up for auto delivery for all the items I purchased. I called customer service and canceled the auto delivery (like this was common) and of course I had to wait for 5 to 7 days to get my money back. Yes, I was frustrated but I thought it could be a mistake. Until 6/2/2019 my husband purchases a protein powder and uses his card and now we received another auto delivery charge on 6/25/2019 and yet again we have to wait for money to be returned in our account. We called customer service and reported the store. We have also the name of the person that helped me in Jan, May and June on our receipt and it's the same person. I don't know if they get commission or what but it's crazy and it's ridiculous. People work hard for their money and to be fraudulently using people's cards is terrible. My name is Skye and I shop at the Citrus Heights location on sunrise. I have been into fitness and working out for years, yet never got into the training support side of vitamins, bars, protein shakes, etc.- simply because of my lack of education in that department.... I have visited competitors stores and felt my questions weren't answered regarding specific needs and random "hot/new" products were thrown at me; the education wasn't there, and the employees DID NOT VALUE THEIR OWN nuitrition, let alone worked out- so I lacked respect and never went back. Recently, I've been told by friends/fellow gym members that they have been loving the Quest bars and since I have a hard time keeping up on my protein in take, I should try them. One day I was driving by the Citrus Heights location and decided to go in- only to grab my bars and go; however, I was warmly greeted by a tall fit gentleman (I later learned his name is BJ and is the store Manager) who was so eager to be of assistance, I couldn't resist the help. (I hate bringing up physical characteristics; however, Within this industry, first impressions and how you care for yourself is priceless) as I started asking questions relating to the quest bars, he read in between the lines of my questions and was able to identify my wants and needs within minutes! Before I even realized, I was telling him my weekly routine, strengths/weaknesses, and desired areas of improvement!! I went in for a $3 bar and left with a purchase of $150 consisting of multiple bars to try and two other products to enhance my goals. Once I left, I did not have any type of buyers remorse simply because I felt trust was built and I respected him. I was actually excited to go back and get more information and products for my boyfriend... That was a little over a week ago and I've been back three times!! Every experience was wonderful and the rest of the staff portrays the same level of costumer service. Not only did they remember me, but my areas of improvement an asked questions regarding if I had been staying on track. Although I know people within the industry willing to get me the same products at less charge, I will be continuing my purchases with them. The education, hospitality, and dedication to helping meet personal goals they have bestowed within your employees is worth every penny!!! people are quick to point out the negative, but rarely take the time to praise the positive :) read more
