I normally stop in for cool tips from the knowledgeable staff and my heart health, multivitamins and fatty omega needs. The Store This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to write a review for a chain business but this store is doing it right! No other VS I've been to is as big or as nice as this one. Unassuming from the outside, you enter into a bright, open and airy space (thanks to the low shelves) with smart design and branding. Everything seemed well-organized and super clean without feeling hospital sterile. This store also featured what appeared to be a tasting/cooking area with classes available. The Staff I've shopped here twice so far (once only a few mins prior to closing) and both times I was greeted by friendly smiling and attentive staff. They were helpful in finding what I needed but didn't hover or make me feel uncomfortable while browsing around. When I inquired about my membership/points I was given a simple explanation and the good news I had a $10 coupon to use that day, which coincidentally expired that day. (This is my only complaint and it's aimed at Vitamin Shoppe Corporate; be more transparent and communicative about rewards for loyal customers. Update them regularly, don't force them to ask if they have anything pending..) Overall an excellent repeat experience, will be back! read more

Disappointed with my experience shopping at this location. First I went to get a thing of protein which my husband sent me a screen shot of it online, as I'm looking at the flavors I noticed a sign saying "buy 2 get 20%off" so I started looking for another flavor finally I go to purchase them and turns out they wouldn't give me the 20% off because the sale was only for the month of September- we're a week into October, I don't understand why the sign is still up and according to my husband who used to work for them years ago said they're actually supposed to honor it if the signs are still up. Second i wasn't going to argue for 20% off so I just purchased it and went home to find my husband upset that 1. I didn't get the 20% off and 2. for not getting them price matched because online they're $19.99 and in stores they're $24.99. I felt like I was ripped off big time. read more

Meh, this place is okay. Its pretty big compared to other vitamin shoppes around the area. They do have a lot of things so whatever your looking for I'm pretty sure they have it. My biggest complaint is of all the times I've gone here I have been followed around the entire time by workers. Even when I told them that I was just browsing, the blonde lady who worked there just so happened to be where I was as well. I just like a little space when I shop, thats all. read more

Stopped by here to check out the new and improved Vitamin Shoppe brand defining store. Looks INCREDIBLE. There is a protein and kombucha bar, which is great for tasting before you buy a 5 lb tub of protein. The Health Enthusiasts are very helpful, store is clean and set up so it's very easy to navigate and find what you're looking for. I prefer online shopping a lot more, but this store makes it tempting to come in all the time. read more

Everyone that works at this store is wonderful. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because they offer 20% off coupons on $75, but if the item is on sale the 20 percent does not apply. This is a new policy that was put into effect recently. I will not be shopping here anymore. If you offer me a 20% coupon on my order total order on $75, it should be on the entire order. First time shopping at the Vitamin Shoppe in East Rutherford. I've been to the Clifton location and it's always been good customer service wise. This location was much less crowded and I wanted to thank Dustin for his help and advice on pre and post work out supplements. He went out of his way to make sure all my questions were answered and which products would be best to help reach my fitness goals since recovering from an injury. Thank you Dustin. So I got a coupon to use at this particular shop, plus I could check out their new set up. Been here before and had very good experience/service! NOT TODAY!! Customer service stinks for this person of color. I saw people come and go and they were nicely greeted by workers at the register once they got "near" it; customers weren't even heading there. I was there for 10-15 minutes and not one word was uttered as I generally per used the shop. Then I was looking in the row closest to the register...not a word! Even managers/execs admiring the decor said n-o-t-h-i-n-g! Too bad I wasn't a secret shopper!! What good can I say: upon entering it smells good and is organized...thus 1 star.
