I went in today to return an online order. The customer service was not ideal as the cashier was not inviting. I went on the store and they asked what we needed and I mentioned a return. They asked if I had an account and I said I think so cause I made one when I ordered online. They were really trying to rush me when I was trying to just so my online receipt but they kept saying you must have an account which I did. And just being really harsh with everything. We eventually found it via email but overall I just felt so uncomfortable during the whole interaction. I think the two staff there was asking other customer around the store what they needed but it did not come across nicely. I do not think they meant it that way but they were more bugging customer as any one who walked in they were like "what you want" like not letting the customer time to walk around and explore the store. This place is OK. It is better and less expensive than GNC. They stock a full gamut of vitamins and body building products, which seems to be the main focus. The staff are a bit of a pain, always trying to upsell more products. Actually for these products I prefer shopping with Amazon. read more

I really like this Vitamin Shoppe; it is clean, well stocked, and is laid out in a way that makes it pretty easy to find what you are looking for without assistance. If you do need help, however, the staff is always willing to help you find something and they don't act like you're bothering them by asking for assistance. I would give this location 5 stars except the parking lot is laid out in a really inconvenient way, and a few things I buy are actually more expensive here than they would be at Whole Foods. I would typically expect a store that sells exclusively supplements to be able to offer lower prices on things than a supermarket, so half a star off for each of those "negatives". read more

This location is the best one I have visited. Joe, the manager, is very helpful and knowledgeable about the products and what I may need. All the associates that I have met have also been helpful and everyone is eager to please. They acknowledge me when I come in and I feel genuinely welcome. I love to go to this location....all locations are not the same. I live 1 block from another Vitamin Shoppe but prefer to come here because of their excellent customer service. read more

This is a nice Vitamin Shoppe. Each of the ones in the Raleigh-Cary area have a different layout, so I haven't yet figured out which one might be bigger. The manager of this one seems to be one the ball, and she is very helpful. They also seem to keep things in stock better than the Cary location. Word of warning, though, this store is on the corner of Six Forks and Wake Forest Road, so if you don't approach it from the right direction, it is very difficult to get into it. Try going down Wake Forest Road (toward downtown) from the Beltline; or go out of town on Six Forks. That way, it's an easy right turn into the store ;-) read more

By far, one of the best places to come for supplements. Everytime I come in, they have been accommodating to my many questions, provide solid feedback on different options, even how to be more cost-effective in what to buy. I don't feel like they are trying to "up-sell" or push you to one brand over another ever. They spend time with me to answer questions in a very knowledgeable way - they know their stuff. Whoever did the hiring here is on point, the staff have always been friendly. In particular one older gentleman is my favorite go-to guy - and I'm really annoyed with myself for not getting his name - but he really knows his stuff and shared his experiences with me and what works in the best way and in conjunction with what. Definitely one of the best locations in Raleigh. The customer service is A+ and the store is always neat and well kept. The overall professionalism on the phone and in person shines long other locations. Prices are cheaper than GNC depending what your supplement needs are. When I walked in the door I was asked if I needed any help. A simple greeting which is becoming a lost art in customer service. As I searched for my whey isolate I was asked again if I needed help (man was I being spoiled). This is how it should be when you have to spend your hard earned $$money$$. read more

The staff here are highly unprofessional. I've witnessed one worker taking a photo of a customer on her phone while he was shopping. It was clear that the customer was not aware he was being photographed. She was supposed to be helping him but her phone was out and I could clearly see her camera on him. On quite a few occasions I have not been greeted or offered help upon entering the location. I used to love this location but it's gone downhill quickly. The one person I was familiar with & who was always welcoming and professional is no longer there. It's been very much noticed & NOT in a good way. There haven't been any recent reviews but I'd be surprised if there were another complimenting the store lately. Please be on alert for associates with their phones out & do NOT use your credit card when you shop there, I was advised by another customer who used to work with one of the employees that she was let go of the last job due to credit card fraud.
