When I went into the vitamin shoppe, I automatically felt welcome by the presence of a young lady named Bianca. Bianca treated me and asked me if I would like help with anything, I think that's because I did look a tad bit confused. We spoke about different kinds of vitamins that I might need and she assisted me with that. While we were into a corner talking, I noticed a guy watching us. It made me extremely uncomfortable because I noticed that since he stepped out from the back, he was watching us. Bianca assured me that he is the assistant manager and just making sure things are going well. I guess she thought that would make me feel better but it didn't, because even after I purchased something and wanted to purchase more he kept watching me. I did notice that he treated other customers differently. Anywho! Bianca was fantastic! I bought more than I expected to. She had knowledge of different supplements, and shared how things she tried work for her. Will definitely be back because of her, they need more staff like Bianca! I have shopped here for the last time. Always greeted and asked if I needed help finding something whenever I walked in but it has ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS felt it was done to keep a watchful eye on me. After years of being treated as a shoplifter, I have grown tired of being watched or conspicuously followed as I shopped. I get that theft prevention has to occur in stores but I have never had any intention of stealing and potentially getting arrested for trying to shoplift wheat grass or fish oil. The store in Port Chester gives off the same vibe. After today, I have decided to get my vitamins and protein powder from the supermarket. At least no one treats me like a criminal when I shop there. read more

Refuse to return to this store or any vitamin shoppe establishment at this point. I received a 20% off coupon in the mail and was told it expired - totally fine I get it, however the individual at the register was beyond dismissive of my concern as to why I'm receiving coupons in the mail after the expiration date. I proceeded to call corporate headquarters just to find out if there was a mistake or if other people had a similar situation and the gentleman on the phone was a complete dickwad. He was equally dismissive and actually laughed at me on the phone. Listen, I don't care about the coupon it is what it is. If it's expired I get it, I wasn't looking for a handout but all I wanted and expected was GOOD customer service. Never again. I'll be going to Whole Foods for all of my needs now or order from Amazon. Vitamin Shoppe will never see my money again. So disgusted. P.S. they only get 1 star because 0 is not an option read more

This is an excellent store filled with wonderful and hard-working people. They cater to their customers and will do what it takes to get products upon request. The vibe when you walk in is relaxing and the customer-worker interactions are pleasant. Employees are knowledgeable people who enjoyed helping with my understanding of vitamin/nutrition information. They seem to know nearly every product in the store, which is impressive because there are 1000+ different ones.
