So disappointing.....I regularly come to fill up water as I have a monthly membership. But after today's visit I have a few health concerns.... Having mold and grime all over the water dispenser area is NOT SAFE. Please do better. I used to love this place when Jennie (I believe that's her name, really nice and sweet lady) was the owner. Everything was always clean, great service, and amazing prices. Ever since a new owner came in it all just went downhill. First, had a really weird and uncalled for interaction with the woman working the front desk trying to sell me her business of debt clearing or something. Not only did she make assumptions about my and my friends and family finances, she was extremely pushy about it. I brushed it off because, again, I loved this place. Second, they started selling things you can easily get at the smoke shop that is literally right next to it. Scent sprays, lighters, and whatnot. Don't get me wrong, those can be useful -- just definitely do not belong at a water store. Third, the prices. I get that running a business is not easy and everyone needs to get their bread. But paying that for what is being offered is no longer worth it. Lastly, just saw a comment about someone seeing mold and grime. That's enough. I'm sure that there are other places around the area that are doing a better job as a water place. Bye! read more

I was told about this place by a friend of mine and at first I really liked the service, ambiance and of course the water and the prices. However, under the new owner, many things haven't been very pleasant. I had so many problems with buying a three gallon jug. The spigot was leaking and despite testing out several other three gallon jugs ALL of them had the same issue of the spigot leaking water everywhere. Such a shame that this water shop that was once a wonderful place to get my water has now become a very expensive and unkempt place. read more

Under new ownership prices have skyrocketed, communication is horrible and deceiving, and hours are slashed. The good news is when you buy your water you can now get your lighters and smoking materials you'd otherwise have to get from the gas station next door. The final straw was testing my alkaline water and it being hardly different than the regular. Upon canceling my membership, I received no communication and it turns out they didn't cancel it! After absolutely no communication on their end, I had to do a chargeback on my card and that seemed to get the message across. What a shame. read more

I love this place when it's open on time! It is rarely open on time, they open at 10am and every time I show up at opening they are NOT there! Store hours are on the window and I have seen them arrive 30 plus minutes late to open. I do like the place and the people who work there are nice but that's all out the window when I can't even get water on the time they said they would be there. Will have to find another spot instead of waisting time. read more

We have been incredibly pleased with our switch to Water Haus from water delivery a few years ago. Our family of 4 has an annual unlimited membership. Once we switched, we realized we were now saving HUNDREDS of dollars on water. AND the water is of better quality than the corporate water company from which we were getting delivery previously. Cleaning and filling my bottles takes about 5 minutes every other week because of their simple and efficient setup. Much easier than filling up at a grocery store, and you can fill multiple bottles at once! I am a bit of a water snob, and I can attest that this water tastes great. I am relatively new to the La Mesa area and I stopped getting alkaline water because my new place had a water filter system in the fridge. of course it is not the same as alkaline water so I went back searching for a place until I landed on the water haus! I've been coming here for several months (maybe almost a year) and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I've been helped by 3 people so far all good conversations and interactions. additionally, they have a prepaid service and membership service. I personally enjoy the prepaid method. when I first started their water was $1 per gallon and I think after going for 3 months they increased it by .50 cents a gallon which was a bummer because they had the best pricing for water BUT I understand it's due to the competitive pricing and inflation going crazy here. all in all, great place for water! read more

The place is very clean. Water taste amazing (healthy) and is super affordable. I save more money refilling my alkaline water from here rather than buying in the grocery store. Love The Water Haus!! High quality water, nice atmosphere, and great people. I buy alkaline water because it has added minerals that's important for our health. They offer many packages and membership options to save $ as well, and the shop sells reusable bottles if you're just starting out. They also have a 24-hour water vending machine out front for when the shop isn't open. Angie, the owner, is a native Californian and she's just the best. She really cares about making the world a better place and doing her part to reduce the use of single-use plastics. She's dedicated to running her business as sustainably as possible and is super low waste. I gave the water Haus only 2 stars because. Pro: Clean and well kept water store, the young lady behind the counter was friendly when I came in. Con: Other than being friendly the young lady behind the counter offered no assistance want so ever. I had told her that I had never been there before and I wasn't sure what the process was. She proceeded to explain about the bottle washing station,etc.... When I paid for my water bottles, she asked if I wanted a receipt and I said yes as well as my change. She handed me my receipt but not my $10.00 in change and gave me a blank stare when I asked for my change. It was then that she realized that she hadn't even put any money in the register. Lastly when she finally got my change she handed me 10 one dollar bills instead of just 1 10$ bill or 2 5$ bills. When I questioned it that's when she ended up giving me 2 5$ bills. I only tried The Water Haus because of all the great reviews and I definitely will not be returning. Other than it being clean that's all it had going for it. read more

When you go into the Haus, you have five super fast dispensers of either purified or alkaline water to fill up any sized bottle There is even an ozonated water bottle cleaner option that you can use to clean out your bottles before you fill up. What used to take me 20-30 minutes of driving around to fill up water, hoping to find a water vending machine that wasn't out of order, now takes 5 min.
