Birthday brunch! Had a nice time! Was a little dry. We were sort of craving some good music to go with our partaking in food and drink! Our food was good and came out super quick! I had the old fashioned which was 3 eggs, bacon and sausage which I subbed for double basin as I don't eat sausage, choice of tots or grits and toast! Good but I found myself getting hungry as we continued to drink. We did the bottomless $13 drinks which included mimosas, screwdrivers, bloody Mary's and natty boh's. You can interchange them! Their brunch runs from 10-2. Whenever we come here, we leave feeling pretty good! They're not shy with their drinks! There was a good amount of alcohol in them! Our waitress, Lily, was super nice and frequented our table many time to ensure we had what we needed. She was quick about refilling our drinks and had just a super pleasant demeanor. Of note Chris was our bartender - supercool - and as we were visiting, really took the time to make us smart on the area. Went to Waterfront for a friend's birthday this past weekend, and was neither impressed nor unimpressed. We were seated upstairs due to having a large party (about 11 of us), and the ordering was slightly disorganized as the waiter took our credit cards along with our orders to split the checks ahead of time. This was a smart idea, but just caused some confusion at first. I hear from some friends that their burgers are amazing, but I personally got the blackened chicken and goat cheese Mac n cheese which was okay. Definitely hit the spot but nothing special in terms of its richness or flavor. Their garlic herb fries however were amazing!! I used to visit WTF about twice a season in previous years. My next to last time there, I found out they'd just changed management literally a week before and the service that day was just AWFUL due to understaffing, technology issues, etc etc. Also the menu was pricier and they took the delicious cream of crab soup off the menu which made me hot angry upset because it was one of the best around. I mean like wtf WTF!?! BUT the saving grace is that the menu items look quite appealing. Fast forward to my recent visit (the 2nd under new management). The cream of crab soup never made it back on the menu *insert angryface* So yes, I'm still saying WTF? to WTF and I can't stop/won't stop until they put it back on there. Anyway, in my visits under new management I've sampled the WTF Cobb Salad, blackened chicken sandwich and the NOLA burger. The sandwiches were very well seasoned but I wasn't a fan of how there weren't any options to substitute for fries outside of paying $2 for some lettuce OOPS- I mean mixed green salad :| The fries came with different seasoning options yet I found both the cajun and parmesan flavors to be greasy disappointments. The Cobb Salad (comes with seasoned chicken AND shrimp) was great with a fair ratio of toppings but I wasn't keen on the citrus vinaigrette that came on it. If I get this salad again, I will most likely get the champagne vinaigrette instead. I switched my choice of lettuce from iceberg to spring greens and I think this was the better decision so feel free to copycat. Service was much much better this time around so I'm glad I stayed true to my rule of giving a place a second chance before I rip it a new one based on one bad experience. read more

Very dissapointed with the service. We went there last Friday around 5:30pm, waited for at least 15-20 minutes to have someone take our order. Finally when someone came to take our order, I asked if we came too early, since they were all ignoring us. Our food came very late, took almost 2hrs to get 4 sliders and 2 fries, nobody refilled our water or asked us if we like to have more drinks. Clearly they are not interested in making money there. There were bunch of waiters chatting and laughing the whole time with each other instead of checking on people's table, and yet we were still obligated to give at least 18% tip. It's sad because the food was actually decent, the front people ruined the kitchen's good work. We won't be going back or recommending this place just because of the service. read more

A friend and I stopped in for dinner last night. We both have been here for brunch and really enjoyed it but last night's meal was just meh. We started with the garlic herb fries as an appetizer. The fries were good but most of them were so tiny and thin which made them hard to eat. It felt like we were scooping crumbs in our mouths. I got the Caesar salad with blackened chicken for my meal. There didn't seem to be any parmesan cheese on the salad and the dressing tasted off. My friend got the taco salad with grilled shrimp. She seemed to enjoy it for the most part, but said the tortilla it came in was too hard and bland. On the plus side, our server was very sweet and attentive. For me, I'll be avoiding this place unless it's for brunch. read more

I travelled all the way to Baltimore for some runny eggs.... This wasn't my first time at The Waterfront Hotel, last time I ordered some sort of chicken wrap and it was pretty good! Anyways, I was meeting some old college friends for brunch and we had a pretty mediocre experience. Our waitress wasn't friendly or engaging. I ordered the crab omelet and the bottomless mimosas. The mimosas were pretty gross and had ice in them, which was weird! Two other tables sat down after us and recieved their food before us; After about 1hr, our food finally came! My omelet was so runny and gross I didn't even eat it. I'm not sure if it was because of the crab meat or what, but it was pretty disgusting. My friend also ordered the steak and eggs. Her steak was so salty, it almost caused me chest pains. I didn't even bother complaining....At about 2pm our waitress basically tossed the check on our table and told us we had to leave soon because brunch was over. For $10 you can add bottomless mimosas, screwdrivers, Bloody Mary's and Natty Bo's to your entree. Fantastic idea for a Sunday Funday. I had the WTF burger and would recommend it to any meat lover. How can you say no to pork belly on top of your burger? Other table favorites included the crab hash, crab and corn omelette and the cheesy grits. Contrary to what the name says, this place is not a hotel - it is a bar. And they make some decent bar food. I haven't decided if the WTF Hotel logo is clever or lame; nevertheless it is everywhere. These guys also do live music overnight starting at 10pm - their website and chalkboard inside lists the bands for the month. I went on a Tuesday for Charm City Trivia (we came in 4th - not to shabby...). They don't seem to have trivia specials, but they do have a decent number of specials. I chose the Washington Hills Sav Blanc from the two $5 choices. It was fine - much sweeter than I like. I eventually switched to the same winery's Cabernet Sauvignon. It was taco night - so I went with tacos. I didn't get the special ($2 per taco) - although it sounded great, it was a little more breakfasty than I was craving - chorizo and potato. I went with the pork belly tacos. Two white corn tortillas wrapped around a large chunk of slow braised pork belly sitting on top of a bed of lime marinated cabbage. They add a little sweetness with a house made mango bbq sauce and top the whole thing with some fried onions. It usually comes with fries, but I have that love hate relationship with fries - so I got the salad instead. Their house dressing is a slightly creamy citrus vinaigrette. It was tangy, but sweet and the salad was a winner - mixed greens with cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and carrots. I love it when a bar can make a decent salad. My friends had the chicken cheesesteak and the burger, both with fries. I think the black and blue burger one that battle. read more

Place sucks balls. Everyone is weird - no social skills. Literally zero - one of the waitresses was upset because my girlfriend asked for napkins after she brought us our burgers (we sat at the bar ... I will get to that in a few sentences). I was only at the bar part on a rainy Friday night. When my group arrived the bar was pretty crowded and there was a live band setting up. As the downstairs bar was crowded we headed up to the upstairs bar which was smaller but loved the little ceiling opening to see down to the lower floor. There is a small bar with a few beers on draft and the option to make mixed drinks. There are also decent bathrooms on the 2nd floor and party space you can rent out. Overall a decent bar and love the live music aspect, just wish it was a little bigger...though a crowded bar just goes to show how popular it is. read more

Have you ever been to place multiple times and swear your going to try something different but can't because that thing is soo F'n good. That's what happens to me here. I've had this WTF burger three or four times now and it's simply the best burger I've ever sunk my teeth into. Why? The bbq dry rub that seasons the beef is cooked perfectly every time, juicy and flavorful, topped with mango pork belly, jalapeno bacon on a toasted potato onion roll. *mouth watering right now* I did try the fried calamari with some kind of creamy jalapeno sauce as an appetizer. I came here for happy hour and enjoyed myself. It wasn't many people there so our server was very friendly and attentive. They have half off appetizers and $4 rail drinks. I got the buffalo chicken meatballs which came with bleu cheese dressing and arugula. It was a couple small meatballs but it was pretty good. They basically tasted like a spicy meatball. I also had the old bay fries which were tasty. My friends had the crab cake which was so-so and the calamari fries were just ok. It was the sauce that made it good. As for my drinks they were really weak! Maybe that's what should be expected for rail drinks but still! :/ I was better off just drinking cranberry juice. Really disappointed in the recent decline of WTF. This is my go-to spot. I live up the street. Today I came in during happy hour with my roommate, after being asked if we were expecting more people by the manager, she walked away and we weren't approached by a server for another 10 minutes. When we finally were approached by a server he didn't even introduce himself or say hi and said "do you want something to drink". He took our orders and walked away. After bringing us our drinks he didn't bring us water or a menu or ask if we wanted food, he just walked away. He proceeded to greet and bring water and menus to two guests who had arrived after us, and walked past us 5 times.
