I decided i needed a ME day. So I've been eyeballing Dream Float on Yelp for months. It's located…read moreoff Laskin Rd and it has alot of benefits like better sleep, pain relief, peace of mind, lowers blood pressure, and more. I was skeptical but today i got out of my comfort zone and tried it. I am really glad i did. I went online and booked my appointment. You get a private room with a shower and towels and wash clothes, and theres a big pod with a light inside. You also can choose to listen to music while in the pod. Afterwards you can also use their blow dryer and etc to get yourself back together. It cost $59.99 for an hour, but they also have longer sessions and a sauna with red light therapy. The waiting area has alot of fun teas for purchase and the owner gives you a tea blend that relaxes you before your session. The tea was light and really did relax me!!! When i went in the room i was nervous, but the owner helped me understand how to get the best benefits from this. The first 20 minutes was me trying to get comfortable and figure it out. You cannot be tense for it to work. When i relaxed i drifted off to sleep and felt like i was floating on a cloud. It was a very unique and relaxing experience. The pod can be opened or closed and even though I'm claustrophobic i was ok with it. I will definitely be going back. The owner is very nice and informative. I think everyone should try this at least once. You leave feeling soooo calm and relaxed!! Theres alot of salt in the water so your body naturally floats. If you suffer from sleepless nights, back pain, neck, shoulder pain, or exhaustion this is the reset your body needs!! 5 stars!! Also theres an adorable dog that will brighten up your day. So take the edge off and give it a try!!!

What an incredible experience…read more I have always wanted to try a float/sensory deprivation tank, but never have. So I finally decided to give it a shot. Booking my appointment was incredibly easy on their Facebook page. The prices seemed more than reasonable, so I went ahead and booked an open slot. When I arrived Beverly walked me through the whole process, answering any questions that I had and giving me a nice tea to help relax before the float. You'll have an option for music (I would go with Beverly's recommendation of 10 minutes at the beginning and 5 at the end). They have everything you need (towels, washcloths, etc) so the only thing you need to bring is maybe a pair of shower shoes. You'll take a shower in the room before getting into the tank. They'll encourage you to try a bunch of different positions and I would as well! Arms up, arms down, palms up, palms down, head float, no head float. I found that the head float, arms down palms up was the best position for me. I can't recommend this place enough, and will definitely be coming back.

I read the website to get an idea of what to expect prior to coming in and arrived a few minutes before my time. The gentleman that checked me in and gave me a tour made me feel quite uncomfortable. He explained things multiple times and stayed in the float room, in my opinion, way too long. There are signs in the room explaining the process and his incessant talking was too much. I purchased an hour float. I would not recommend this experience if you are prone to vertigo or nausea. I am not, but I felt very strange after floating. I had a dull headache and nausea for hours after. The room and shower were clean and you are advised to shower after floating. They offer toiletries, but they were not formulated for all hair/skin types and were practically empty. If you don't want to redress with salty skin, I'd advise you to bring your own toiletries. When I was checking out, there were several female employees lingering in the hallway staring at me. The same gentleman tried to upsell me on a massage to follow my float and to rebook. I declined both. I just felt very uncomfortable - physically and mentally. Not the right vibe for me. I'll stick with a professional spa or Fuller School for massages.

I went to use their sauna services - they have infrared, which is supposed to be more penetrating in the body than a regular sauna. So you're not sweating a much but it's supposed to be more effective.. After leaving, I realized a left an expensive water bottle there. I spoke to the employee the same day, she found it and put it behind the desk for me & let her know I will pick it up in a couple days (had to travel). I came back 3-4 days later and they couldn't find it all of a sudden. The employee looked and said a coworker took it to another location in the building (the gym) for some reason. I was still understanding & polite and came back the next day. That's when I met the manager - who INITIALLY was very adamant about locating the item. After an unsuccessful search, said she would look at the cameras and personally call me about. Upon leaving & asking for my name & phone number, she also asked me if I was a part of any city-organization - I am, but I didn't want that to dictate any treatment. Unfortunately, I did not hear back AT ALL. After a few days I went back and spoke with an employee who said she didn't know the resolution to it. I left my number again & the employee suggested that I should at least of some small compensation for situation/grievance. I agreed and left my number for the third time... metal bottles don't go missing behind a desk... I even spoke with the gym employees and when I asked about the water bottle, one of them started looking around and couldn't even look at me in the face... This was a month ago and I didn't want to leave a bad review... but now it's safe to assume: 1. an employee STOLE the expensive water bottle (that's gross) 2. The manager didn't value me as a customer + didn't follow-up like they promised or even at my request. (And potentially covering up a thief hence why there was no further communication). Next time, keep your word. It's the principle.

Her establishment is very clean, smells wonderful and I felt a calm/serene presence when I entered. I immediately noticed the use of essential oils and it helped to add to the relaxing ambiance. The massage itself was something of a divine experience... she applied the right amount of pressure to all the right areas on my body, it was like she knew by touch exactly where my aches and pains were located! I experienced such an overwhelming release of tension from my body I can tell you that it literally bought me to tears (happy, relieving tears) while on the table! I also like the fact that although she has a very welcoming personality, she did not talk a lot during the massage. It allowed me time to lay quiet, meditate and become fully submerged in the session. I appreciated so much the opportunity to relax, lay still and have all my pressures massaged away! I chose the massage/reflexology package and I'm so glad I did! I don't know Julie and never met her before my massage so this review is as sincere and real as it gets!
