There is a range of jewellery items on offer - rings, earrings, necklaces and so on - all reasonable and ranging in price. From what I saw there appeared to be a decent mix of the more modern style pieces and some vintage styled (or at least appeared to be) pieces, which is great as it covers a range of tastes. Not being so fond of the modern kinds of jewellery it was nice to see some items that suited my tastes too. All items look beautifully made and of a good quality. This shop is great for browsing for ideas and will certainly offer up some lovely gift items for birthdays and ocassions etc. If you're near by I'd suggest a quick look in the window at least, even if you aren't shopping!

The products all have a vintage and quite pretty art nouveau style with gently curving plants and highly stylised flowers and insects. The aesthetic runs throughout the shop, though with a wide range of variations on the theme. The smaller items like cards and picture frames are good if you like the style, but aren't prepared to splash out on a lamp. They won the Retailer of the Year at the UK Jewellery awards in 2008 and looking at the shop, it's easy to see why. Simplistic cabinets are placed neatly around the room allowing you to look inside at the lovely pieces. The jewellery can be pricey as they specialise in Sterling Silver and Gold - but you can pick up a pair of earrings for £15 which I think is very good. They also have a nice selection of charm bracelets and charms - although Thomas Sabo does seem to have a much wider choice so I'd check them out aswell.

Having visited Paperchase three times now, including one of three flagship stores in Manchester I feel this branch stocks the essentials you would associate with Paperchase, but still it is of course a smaller selection. There store was a little small compared to what I would have liked, but still an average / decent size, but when compared to the Manchester branch for example, it is dwarfed by that. There was a small and decent range of most items, I mainly came in to pick up a lever arch file as I find Paperchase's lever arches are better quality, I \was pleased to see them all in one place with some of the basics stocked, but still they did miss out some of the files I was looking for, which are sold in other branches and online. The staff seemed a little slow and not really friendly, they did eventually check the price of an item from me, which was not discounted despite being on the reduced shelf, which still only was a 30% saving, which didn't seem to be worth paying, as the item was heavily overpriced as it is. The store does seem a little darker in terms of decor than other stores, despite having a glass enterence, in a way this store is easy enough to forget due to its' size and location in Leeds city centre, and only deserves a generous two stars I'm sorry to report.

I concede, that may be slightly too dramatic, but nonetheless I was saddened by its disappearance. As well as losing a fantastic book shop with an impressive selection of magazines, the departure of the in store Paperchase was inevitable. I sense a slight degree of a moral dilemma when it comes to Paperchase. Although I am aware that I should be channelling my entire cards and stationary budget into independent shops, I have an obsession with the Paperchase brand. I do support the smaller businesses in countless other ways however, helping the local economy much to the dismay of my bank! Everything about the shop is stylish. For somebody who has a similar passion for gift wrap as myself, it is a veritable haven. During more financially unstable periods, I have been known to lavish more money on the presentation of the birthday present, than its actual contents! The different ranges of cards that are designed by Paperchase never have any excruciatingly cringe worthy poems in them, they are never sweet to the extent of prematurely inducing diabetes, and do not have generic phrasing on them. Instead, I consider them to be original, vividly colourful and are always well received. The wrapping paper and stationary are also of a fantastic quality. There are various miscellaneous items for sale at Paperchase. I have often solved the riddle of what to buy a difficult relative by presenting them with a funky teapot or retro cake stand. If I am buying a gift for a friend or loved one, I feel proud to present them with a beautifully wrapped creation, courtesy of Paperchase.

Unfortunatly there is nothing nin my price range here but i can still admire the jewellery from the window! I think i would feel a bit intimidated if i went into this shop because it looks very posh inside and the staff might be a bit stuck up but like i said i have never been in so can't really judge i suppose. In the window they always have some really nice ornaments for sale like teddy bears or elephants and i swear one day i will go in and buy one!! They are gorgeous! My sister bought a watch from here like years ago and it still works and shes never changed the battery so they must be good! :)

The…read morestaff are helpful but discreet (I hate being pounced on!) and the range of jewellery, gifts, china, figuirines and photo frames is impressive to say the least. You would be hard pressed to not be able to find a decent gift within your budget hee. The staff are professional and are more than happy to recommend a gift / item dependant on your budget or the occasion. New lines are always available so there is always something new to look at. I know this is an accessory one can find in most shops, every one seems to have them, but none so lovely as I've found here. The styles are unique and they feel like they're of a very good quality - some of them are quirky with these lovely little bobbles, some with lacing detail and so on. In any case, I love their scarves and you probably will too. The shop itself comprises of all kinds of costume jewellery and accessories, in ranging prices, all of which catch your eye. The jewellery is just lovely, some pieces being very sparkly and 'look at me', others much more delicate and understated. There's a hoard of interesting hand bags too, some rather different to the norm, although I'm not much of a handbag fiend so I couldn't really advise on that, other than take a peak for yourself. The watches were also exquisite, and I've got my eye on more than a few of their jewelled cuff bracelets. In any case, I'll be going back again soon to treat myself. After all, I am a magpie. Added to all this, the lady who runs the stall is just lovely, and gave us plenty of advice on matching colours to the scarf we picked. Basically, if you're looking for girly gifts to suit any age you should bookmark this gorgeous little shop before trying the standard Accesorize and suchlike. You're certain to pick up something unique, lovely, quality and all for a similar price range.
