We had a wonderful double date experience at The Wild Rose last night! It's located in the District center. Use your navigator, it's next to Orangetheory workout center, plenty of street parking. The service was impeccable. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. My husband ordered their entrée of the day, halibut $63 shown in the photo delicious! I ordered the pork chop beautifully cooked, and the chef has created the most delicious sauce to perfection! We enjoyed the three crabcake appetizer, but wish that there were four of those little crabcakes so my husband and I could have had two sadly we had one and a half portion. The other couple ordered the scallops. They looked on the small side, but they were cooked to perfection they said. We will definitely come back for double dates and special occasions! FABULOUS! From the time you walk in the door till the minute you walk out. Service was phenomenal ZACK! And the host don't know her name. Bread was so fresh! And loved their homemade red pepper butter! Our first time having Elk and it was Excellent! Perfectly cooked-not gamy! Loved the veggie combo carrots, green beans, sweet potatoes. Mash potatoes were epic! Tenderloin was cooked perfectly! Love the sauce and fresh blue cheese but I got it on side to use it at my own discretion. Enjoyed the mashed better than Yukon potatoes. This place is a hidden gem! I enjoyed my experience here with my family. They provided bread with butter to start with. The bread was average, but the house butter was unique and flavorful. The salads were surprisingly good--an elevated version of the regular salads you get, even at nicer restaurants. I particularly liked the pecan and the Caesar salad. The vegetables were very fresh. Then came the palate cleanser! The sorbet was so refreshing, and I was ready to start the main meal. The wild salmon was delicious. It was grilled on a cedar plank, and the aroma filled the room. The mashed sweet potato was yummy; wish there could be more of that! My favorite dish was the beef tenderloin. It was cooked to perfection. The inside was a beautiful pink color, and the meat was so tender. It paired really well with the special sauce and cheese. I savored every bite! As for dessert, I got the vanilla ice cream. It being house-made with real vanilla beans caught my eye, but unfortunately, I couldn't taste much of the vanilla bean. It still tasted good because it's ice cream, but did not meet my expectations. We took my parents here for dinner tonight to celebrate a birthday. Let me just tell you...the food is top notch!!! I had the tenderloin of beef...which was cooked perfectly and was so tender. Each entree also receives one of 3 salads which are delicious! Other entrees that were enjoyed this evening were pork chops and salmon. Everyone loved their meals. They also have an in house sorbet palate cleanser...tonight's flavor was green apple...and it was so dang yummy! We also finished our evening with some crème brûlée. If you haven't been here..I highly recommend it! The staff is so attentive and friendly and the owner is wonderful as well! We've been coming here about once a year since they opened and have never been disappointed. Their bread with red pepper honey butter is such a delicious starter. We love their house salad. The sorbet pallet cleanser is always a treat. I usually order either the tenderloin or the mushroom ravioli, but branched out this time and tried the salmon, which was perfectly executed and so delicious. We also tried their mint infused lemonade, which was sweet and refreshing. We ended with the chocolate almond torte, which was chocolate perfection. We were recommended to The Wild Rose from our realtor that helped us find a new home on the area. We had family in town and were excited to try it. We had Nate who was our server and he was excellent, provided a great understanding of the menus along with top suggestions. We had the appetizers - salmon cakes, pork belly and caprese and they were all excellent. For the main we had the Lamb Chops and Salmon. This was certainly the best restaurant we have been to in a long while. The food and service were amazing. This is a must go to place and we are so lucky to be living close to such a great place. I had high expectation for this place as it's sister restaurant, Tiburon, is one of my favorites in the valley. I was not disappointed. The menu is basically the same as Tiburon, with a couple additions, and the food is just as elegant. I was reminded at why I love the original location so much, as the Wild Rose also exhibited excellent service. The food is great! The atmosphere is laughable. The bathroom was the same as village inn.... Gross and not fancy at all. Here is my biggest complaint... THEY RENT OUT SPACE FOR EVENTS. We suffered through our expensive dinner... listening to clapping and hollering and a LOUD TV. I told our waiter how annoyed we were.. we had reservations for our anniversary. Last night was wild. Well actually it was chill and I enjoyed my dinner at The Wild Rose. We head a large party and had reservations. We were seated right away and taken care of. Each server that walked by was so kind and attentive. Our server shared the night special with us, re filled out drinks, brought out fresh bread and was just so great. It seems like everything you order from there is a great choice. Our meal started with fresh bread and a yummy house butter. It was just has amazing as our server described. I ordered the Beef Tenderloin & a Caesar salad. The salad was a crisp wedge salad with the perfect about of dressing. My steak was perfectly cooked. I'm not lying when I say everyone everyone cleared their plate and I even shared a picture for proof. It had been a few years since my first visit to The Wild Rose, so I felt it was time to come back and give it another try. I remembered it being ok, but a strange ambiance-being in a strip mall. Obviously, the location hasn't changed. And the decor was as I remember-minimal and clean, but lacking in personality. But the service was great. Wait staff, hostess and everyone we interacted with was especially friendly and attentive. We were there celebrating a special occasion, and they brought us a complimentary dessert. (The chocolate ganache is delicious, by the way.) The restaurant was quiet, almost too quiet. Maybe a little background music-or live music-would add a little character. The food was good-interesting selections that were plated beautifully. I'm not sure it was the BEST food I've had, but it certainly was tasty. The pineapple sorbet palette cleanser before the main course was a nice touch. Overall, this is a nice location for special occasion meals. First time here and had a wonderful experience. We made reservations, and it was a good idea. The place was clean and had a calming and relaxing atmosphere. We were seated right away, and served water and bread with their delicious compound butter (which is available for purchase). We were offered a non-menu special of beef Wellington, and we both ordered it along with Cesar salads. We were very tempted by the also non-menu appetizer of caprese salad, but we declined. We were cautioned that the Wellington would be medium rare to medium, which we expected, and it came as a perfect medium rare. Since there is no salt and pepper on the tables, I wondered if I would need to ask our server for them. But both the mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables were already well seasoned. There are no caffeine-, sugar- or alcohol-free beverages though, so water is it for me. Our server, Shayla, was attentive and friendly without being obtrusive. Kudos to here. We most definitely will be back, but not too often as this place is pricey. read more

The chopped salad was much better than the Caesar wedge. Garlic overpowered that Caesar wedge salad so much that we couldn't finish it. The amuse bouche was a green apple sorbet, very light and fun. The lamb and ribeye were both good, but we all wished we had ordered that tenderloin with the hint of dark chocolate and blue cheese which was excellent. My sister booked a private room for a very special event that included 20 people here and it was very nice for being in a shopping center. With my phone GPS it took me on every turn but it's easier just to get off the freeway on 114000 south and head west. From there let your navigation take control. The service was amazing, always getting drinks or clearing out plates. The clam appetizer was delicious and cheese board was impressive. The chopped salad I had was ok and little. The salmon was delicious but portions are small. I cleaned my plate and I never do that. I asked for my son's steak without the chocolate sauce it came with that evening which I tasted and it actually tasted good even tho I don't like sweets. But he appreciated his steak cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes. This restaurant does not have a kids menu that I saw one. It's more upscale and definitely on the pricier side. Fair wine pricing on bottles. Would I come back? Maybe if it was suggested again but definitely too far from me. read more

We eat at the Wild Rose several times a year, and it's become our default special occasion place - birthdays, anniversary, etc. The food is spectacular. Service is top-notch. Atmosphere is what I expect for fine dining. Owner Valerie is a delight, always checks on us when she's there, and has helped us out in binds with reservations and such. I repeat - the food is top-notch. We used to drive up to PC and go to Ruth's Chris for special events. They've priced themselves out of what I'm willing to pay, and I prefer the food and proximity of Wild Rose anyway. I would have never thought there would be fine dining is South Jordan, just down the road from my house, but I'd stack up the Wild Rose food and experience with any place in Salt Lake City or Park City. read more

OK, they're charging as much as the finest restaurants in Salt Lake City. That's the benchmark. However, they are not located in Salt Lake City, they are situated deep in the southwest corner of the valley. I'll give Wild Rose credit for trying hard to be a five-star restaurant. They have a good selection of items on their menu and appear to use fresh ingredients and unique flavorings. For the oenophile, a good selection of wines are available. For dinner, I had the seared Ahi and the Caesar salad and my wife had the salmon with the house salad. Both meals were nicely prepared, consider them good, but not excellent. Service was mediocre as they did not keep our drinks full. The ambience was suitable for a white tablecloth restaurant, but at prime time on a Friday night, we found it surprising that the dining room was not full. There is also plenty of parking for your vehicle - you are in a large mall. Without going any further on the commentary, let's just say it's worth planning a night here if you need an upscale dinner spot in this geographic area. Salute! read more

Very good food and a good ambiance. Thursday nights they usually have live music. It's a little pricey but the food is very good. The main courses change everyday and they are always very good. I've enjoyed every meal I've had at the Wild Rose and have never been disappointed there. We did have a terrible server there but it was a few years ago and I'm sure she is long gone. She should have never worked in a restaurant. She actually went from table to table telling each customer how great she was and how much they should tip her. Her suggestion started at 50% and went up from there. It was the strangest thing I've ever experienced at a restaurant or anywhere else. I should have said something to the management as we didn't go back for over a year. At that point we were very disappointed with the Wild Rose but I now realize how hard it is to find good employees, especially restaurant servers.
