We loved the variety of options here! You can get appetizers from one spot and your main dish from somewhere else & they all give you buzzers for notification of when it's ready! Everything was tasty and warm. Nice cozy spot for a date or with family or friends. Lots of indoor & outdoor seating. There was a live music playing when we visited & it was perfect.

Cute spot! I really wish there was a dedicated vegan/plant based food truck option, but I was still able to find something to eat. This spot is perfect for big groups, there's tons of indoor/outdoor seating options. Food service was quick and friendly!

We really like this place (except for the parking). They have a great mix of food carts from which to choose. The interior is big. Both open, yet close. And the bar is nicely sized and well appointed.

Nice AC inside large dining area with rest rooms & free water.

This food cart pod has at least 18 food carts so choices are many & diverse. There WILL be something for any taste. AC is set at a comfortable temperature and plenty of large benches for sitting. A few outside table too. A nice bonus is free paper cups and ice water AND no signage restricting outside beverages. Sometimes people just want to drink tap water and not sweetened drinks. Location of pod is excellent roughly near intersection of Lancaster & State (easily accessible from I-5). Only downside is limited parking which could be an issue on weekend nights. Driveway in and out to State Street is tight so drive carefully.

This man makes the best/ strongest drinks!! Why? Because he cares!!! Cares about what? Curing depression. Good guy.

This man (Egyptian) Has the best advice!!! Amazing bartender!! Can eat a whole rotisserie chicken for a meal. Impressive.

It's a cool space with indoor seating and outdoor too. Ready for any weather they have a variety to choose from. Make sure to check which ones are open in certain days if you're coming for something specific. Family friendly, and indoor bar with TV showing the games too! A place to bring friends and family to when everyone is craving something different and want to do something different that the usual lunch or dinner at home. Enjoy! Cheers!

I loved the variety of food options at The Yard. We got the Flautas and Quesadillas and we got so much food for how much we paid. The flavor was amazing! We also got a burger that was soooo juicy and delicious! There is ample seating inside, and the service was amazing. Would definitely recommend The Yard Food Park for anyone visiting Salem!

Tom Kha - decent, but too much fish sauce.

The carne asada over baked avocado was phenomenal!! The Tom Kha was heavy on the fish sauce, not my favorite that I've had. The gyro was good. The Dreaming of Sushi, the fish tasted off and the seaweed smelled like mold. I wouldn't recommend it, though they were kind enough to give us a refund. Overall, love the atmosphere and food options! Would have tried the crab meal but it's $40.

Y E L P : Fork Forty Food Hall Restaurant & Food Review…read more Ventured to Fork Forty Food Hall for lunch yesterday for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. As food halls are all the craze, it was pretty cool to learn that Fork Forty is Salem's first food hall. It is a cozy food hall featuring six of Salem's best eateries in the historic Gray-Building - which I also learned is a building that has a long history of eateries that have occupied its spaces over the years. So, it's only natural that this food hall graced this historic building. What a unique legacy to be a part of. All that Google-worthy factoids aside, I must say, I really loved the industrial feel of the space. Loved the use of blacks and white - which allowed the food vendors signage to really stand out and pop against the darker field colors. Also, the food hall itself wasn't too busy - especially for lunchtime. So, that was great because the wait time for the food was minimal. The food hall was lively, clean and had ample seating. There is a water station with cups for patrons that want water only. There's also a bar within the food hall - so, if you wanted some libations with your eats, that was also an option. All in all, it's a great spot with various cuisines. There's enough to tickle your fancy pending what you have a taste for. Some of the cuisines range from Mexican, Asian, and Mediterranean cuisine to name a few. I opted for the Mexican vendor, Suzy's Taqueria, and I am so happy I went with them because they did not disappoint. The food was fresh and the price point was great!! Very affordable lunch prices. (**Visit Suzy's Taqueria page to see my review on their street tacos.**) Since this is a food hall, I didn't really interact with the staff as much. My order was placed at a kiosk - which had no wait time. Once my order was placed, the wait for the tacos to prepared was less than 10 minutes. The server brought them out to my table - which was my only interaction with the staff. So, that's about as much as I can speak on that. However, all interactions, though minimal, were very pleasant. For a first visit, I was pleased. I will definitely visit again before my departure from Salem to try out the bao spot or the pizzeria. Also, the history of it, is pretty cool!

If this is Lancaster Mall 2.0, it looks the part. The feel on the other hand, is a whole 'nother story. Willamette Town Center got hit pretty hard by the pandemic. Minus the clean, super bright, and modern digs, it is on the verge of becoming a dead mall. There are empty storefronts, almost zero activity on a weekend, and one of the saddest food courts I've seen in a mall. What was once a bustling place of Salem's retail seekers, has become a shell of itself. The only things filling up the parking lot are the stores directly outside of the mall. This place needed a facelift decades ago, but it seems the renovation came just a little too late. Timing is never good and even as Salem changes, it stays the same in many ways. One positive note: I was initially sad to see the Orange Julius location replaced by Burlington Coat Factory (#2) but realized it simply moved to the food court. It really has been the mall's most constant business. While it's not a huge mall, it does have some great anchor stores and nearby conveniences (Target is across the street!) that it's an ideal spot to get your shop on. However, the Kohl's in the center had customers and employees with a clean and neat shopping experience. Now that JCPenney (and long before that, Liberty House) is gone, the "Marion Parkade" near Kohl's and cinnebarre became more popular due to its skybridge right into Kohl's. It was still easy to park and all kinds of cars are parked here. I felt very safe leaving my vehicle. If one parks in the other free downtown garage, you will be in for a short outdoor walk to enter the center. Today the food court was busy and a new Italian restaurant is coming soon to the first level where Honey baked Ham was. There are two large arcades on the second level. If you want to visit some local shops or Ross, those are here too. Many mall employees were on duty during my visit for security and housekeeping. Definitely still a mall for teens & early 20somethings. An older customer might find more interesting stuff walking south into downtown Salem's streets.

The location is not ideal in terms of access and some of the typical challenges you would expect in downtown Portland. Otherwise, it's a fun experience for an occasional visit and the food options are plentiful. There are about eight food concepts in total on the perimeter of the building with a main bar in the center. I went with a rice bowl from one spot and had a few of the mini donuts from the other location for dessert. I also saw a Thai food concept, a smoothie bar and a ramen spot. There are a lot of different seating options available, but none of them are particularly comfortable. When I went for dinner, the place was only about half full and the trash area was a little bit unkempt. Parking is available on the street or in adjacent lots but everything is paid during typical daytime hours from about 8 AM until about 7 PM. The bathrooms do require an access code but are available on site. Personally, I feel like this place had a bit more clout when it first opened before the pandemic. But, it still has some relevance and it's a great spot for a casual meal just because of the variety of options that are available. If you come with a group, everyone can try what they like. Overall, a good showcase of some under the radar food establishments that conglomerate in a fun shared space. Check it out!
