I ordered a lemon coconut cake for my husband's birthday about a week in advance, and had a wonderful conversation on the phone with a polite and professional employee during that transaction. I was a bit sticker-shocked at $55 for a 6-inch cake (with nothing special added to it), but was also not told during that conversation that it would also 3 tiers. (In that case, the price makes a *little* more sense.) I didn't specify a color for the writing on the cake, but I was a bit surprised to receive a brown/burgundy color... for a birthday. It was just a bit odd, but not a huge complaint. The quality and texture of the cake was not bad, but-- to me-- the lemon flavor was really artificial-tasting and strong. The Yummery came through for me in a hurry after Walmart canceled my order, mind you I placed this order 3 1/2 weeks before my wedding anniversary party. God is so good I'm so happy with the customer service I received and the care that I received, The Yummery saved me time and anguish, when I tell you my prayer was answered. I was running around frantically calling all over town and Christi was the only person who was sympathetic and took time to listen to me. She broke protocol just to save my day. She made me feel seen and heard and she deserves 5 stars for that alone. The cake it's self was a taste that my mouth had never experienced, this wedding cake was so beautiful and it being a surprise brought tears to my wife's eye and I cried just watching her but back to the taste. It melted in our mouths, it burst with flavors, Yellow cake with lemon on one tier OMG. We couldn't believe it, when we sliced into the bottom tier it was chocolate infused with Strawberries so fresh it tasted like homemade strawberry ice cream. We've been married 25 of our 30 years and never had a wedding or wedding cake but this made for it. I am a customer for life and will tell everyone I know about the Yummery. The store was clean and smelled delicious. Her items are fairly and reasonably priced. They also took care and helped to load the cake in my car. I drove away very happy. read more

This is a quaint little cupcake shop where you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee if you so desire. I'm not a huge sweets person, so take the word of others over me. I thought the cupcakes were ok but not anything amazing. They are however, quite gorgeously decorated. I was here for coffee with a friend, and our coffee was good. We were offered refills but declined, not sure if there would have been a cost. I believe we had the pleasure of being served by the owner, who was a bit frazzled as the shop was a bit out of sorts from the previous shifts workers. Nothing outside the norm, and she was quite friendly and very apologetic that things took a bit longer than she would have liked (though I would not by any means say she was slow). Pretty solid little bakery in an unassuming shopping center. We stopped in to check it out and got several goodies. They had muffins and various pastries plus cupcakes, cake pops, chocolate covered pretzels, etc. They also make a variety of coffee drinks. Everything was very tasty - I particularly liked the spinach and feta pastry and the cupcakes. They were super moist and all of them had a filling inside which is the best! I just wish they had more options with cream cheese icing. Cream cheese is wayyy superior to buttercream. The muffins and some of the other pastries are made ahead of time so they were frozen. They offered to heat things up for us but we took a couple of things as is to have later. The inside had some tables and chairs (though it seems like most take things to go) and the staff were very nice. Our wedding was back in 2016, but I realized I never put a review on Yelp! This was seriously the best cake I've ever had and so beautifully done. Owner was so sweet and accommodating. We have a friend with a dairy allergy and she made cupcakes without dairy for them. There were so many flavors it was so hard to choose which ones for each tier of the cake. I have to start out by saying, I think we should go back to kindergarten since circles and squares are NOT the same. (You'll see in the photos) I wanted to love the "wedding" cake that was made but sadly I did not. it was nothing like the photo that was ordered. the side was sloppy and pinched, the pearls looked like they had just been added like 5 mins before dropping the cake off, no flowers were specifically said yet flowers were on the cake that is 100% incorrect. The cake topper had nothing around it. And for the small 1 year anniversary cake it looked as though there was negative space. So she threw a cannoli to make it not so bare. Decorations were given to her to add to the CORRECT cake she said she could make and none of it was used. And those decorations are where? The cupcakes were all wrong with the flavoring too, the cake breading was a little dry too but tolerable. While this might be for one person it definitely was not for us. I don't like the fact that we were lied to, and paid a lot of money up front and extra for delivery. It was a surprise and it was completely ruined.....so Yummery was the surprise we were hoping for? If so dont do it again. It's sad that when looking back on wedding photos we have to be reminded what a scam this was and be disappointed all over again. Please don't promise one thing to a customer and delivery something completely incorrect and somewhat a mess. How much of our money did you take for the lie portion? And if you couldn't make it then you should have said something. If you take a look, last time I remember white and silver were NOT red, and NO flowers didn't mean add flowers. I hate when I forget to take pics!! Uuuughhh. I ordered a half dozen cupcakes.....I just needed something small for an office party I placed the order 3days ahead. They are closed on Mondays so keep that in mind. I realized this morning how delayed I was in planning my daughters upcoming birthday party..And what's a party with no cake. My normal baker is not able to make the cake this time so I figured I should probably get started bakery shopping.. I bookmarked the Yummery previously so today I decided to stop in. The shop is small. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by the sight of the baked goods. Let's talk cupcakes... Did I say I LOVE CUPCAKES?? One of my all time favorite things. But I'm very particular about icing.. I love a great cream cheese or buttercream frosting.. The former is my preference. So I asked which cupcakes had a cream cheese frosting... And of the 16+ flavors, I was told that the only one which had some form of cream cheese was the red velvet (which they did not make that day)... So instead of ordering 4, I just purchased 3... Vanilla strawberry, strawberry vanilla and cookies and cream. I ate some of my babies vanilla strawberry and have to say that the cake part of the cupcake was very good .. Moist and flavorful, and it had a nice strawberry filling.. But the icing.. I don't like whipped frosting one bit. It Just didn't do the cupcake any good.. No I don't think all cupcakes will be slathered in cream frosting.. But I do think that certain flavor profiles work better together and there should be a bit more variety of the frosting that dresses the cakes. These cupcakes are not in my opinion on the same level as a Flavor or Georgetown cupcake so 2.50 is to high a price point. So with this all being said, I do not think I will return. read more

Drove past, then my bakery alert went off and I turned around through a nearby subdivision to get back. Not many pre-made items in the case, but looking at the photos here lead me to believe most of their items are in the back. I had just had breakfast, so wasn't too hungry, but I got a cupcake with Butterfinger crumbles, and an Oreo-covered Rice Krispie treat on a stick. Both were pretty darn tasty. Stopped in here on a whim while driving the back route back to the city. I'm basically obsessed with cupcakes, so this place lured me right in. It's in a cute little group of stores, next to an antique store. I tried out a few cupcakes, and they were all wonderful. A characteristic that spanned the lot was their light, whipped, fluffy icing- not too sweet. Definitely made with butter. The peanut butter dream cupcake was chocolate with light chocolate icing, and a center of light peanut butter filling. Unlike many other peanut butter cupcakes, the flavor did not overwhelm or make you too thirsty. It was mixed with something else that tempered the strong flavor a bit. Strawberry cupcake had strawberry jam in the inside. I think fresh strawberries or strawberry icing would have been better, as the jam was a bit saccharine and didn't fit with the rest of the cupcake, but still good. Not like Georgetown cupcakes' strawberry cupcake which makes everything else near it taste like strawberry. My favorite was the caramel. This one I actually ate two days after buying it, and that it part of he reason I gave this place 5 stars- it held up so well I'm pretty sure it actually got better over those two days sitting on my counter. Not overwhelmingly caramelly, but a touch of flavor in the buttercream. I preferred the vanilla cake to the chocolate. One issue was the fact that it was a warm day, and they didn't have the cupcakes in a controlled environment (this day, at least; not sure if they have AC and it wasn't turned on yet or what). So the icing was already soft, and being made of butter, it lasted about 5 minutes before the icing started slipping over a bit. So transporting them with the AC on is a must. The owner was very friendly and said that they do custom cakes and specialized parties (including a kids party with a Frozen cake decorating theme). That sounded pretty awesome. My fiance's coworker recommended the Yummery's cupcakes so we tried them and sadly we were not impressed. I feel like the whip cream texture of the icing leaves a lot to be desired. It was flavorless to me, although my fiance preferred it over butter/swiss cream. We both concluded that the cake was average and lacked in flavor too. My boyfriend brought me 6 cupcakes from The Yummery 3 days ago to make me feel better. I literally broke my butt! Lol (broke the tip of my tailbone off from a fall) and OMGosh did they make me feel better!!! my pop (76) and nephew (6) stole some and even they said they were "amazing" and "the best cupcakes (he) ever had!".
