(This makes me feel all sorts of feelings! Why can't things stay the same and continue forever and ever?) However, nothing is forever, darling. I now see another amazing massage therapist at Indy Massage Company named Matthew. He is pretty great, and I look forward to relaxing on his table each month at IMC. He is intuitive and firm yet incredibly gentle, and I'm able to just surrender and let him work his magic. I've mostly only booked Swedish massages with him, but one time I booked a longer session where he really worked out the muscles in my upper back and shoulders, which really needed attention. Indy Massage Company is one of my favorite places in Indy, and I continue to love visiting this place when I can.

She insisted on me reading her lips; I told her that I could not understand her. She, instead, relied on the phone to communicate with me. The massage itself was 39 minutes long, while it should have been 50 minutes long. After the massage, she walked out of the room and did not return to see me out. I discussed this with the receptionist, and she offered me 30 minutes of massage without any charge, pending her boss's approval. I called the place the next day, asking for the boss; the person who answered the call said that the boss was in a meeting. The boss should return my call at the end of the day, but I did not receive a call. To sum it up, the service I receiveed was terrible.

I had a massage and cupping therapy today with Carla for the first time today, I've seen a lot of massage therapists over the years, but I can honestly say out of the 8 states I've lived, I've never met anyone like her. She is incredibly gifted and passionate about what she does. I hurt my neck badly and couldn't move my head and she kindly fit me in last minute for a session, which meant so much to me. The pressure was perfect, she has really strong hands, which is something I need with chronic illness, I'm often in a lot of pain, so getting some relief in addition to neck pain I was experiencing - it was a game changer. I've had cupping before, I'm so glad she offers it, it's amazing for pain and detoxing, I highly recommend it. She even added some aromatherapy. :) I can tell she really values her clients.
