However, that is why I feel it is important to review him from the standpoint of the functional/alternative medicine services/treatment he offers/provides. I came to Dr. Rosen in a very bad way - completely devoid of any energy, excessive somnolence, an inability to focus/concentrate, in continual joint pain. He charged far too much for an initial consultation, however, I thought, 'okay, at least he'll have potential diagnosis(es) or a solid plan forward'. Nope. He failed to provide any specific plan for me, simply scribbling on a white board about how my adrenals were likely fatigued. Zero insight into a tailored plan for my specific needs; no real plan forward at all. He simply wanted me to agree to one of a few generic treatment options that ranged up into the tens of thousands of dollars. He only reinforced my skepticism of this 'science'. He was nice enough, though I suppose it's easy for one to be nice when trying to get a lot of money out of you, again with zero specifics or any real plan in place. He could be a fine chiropractor but when it comes to actual medicine, it seems as though he is purely a salesman of supplements, expensive lab tests, and lifestyle recommendations. Oh, and then the only follow-up I received from him or his team was constant spam from a mailing list they placed me on without my knowledge/consent. My takeaway from this experience? - this practice offers costly, scientifically unproven alternative/"functional" medicine at best and, at worst, it's a calculated effort to exploit vulnerable people for lucrative financial gain. I am so glad I wasn't coerced into pursuing this further. Highly advise to avoid at all costs.

Once I went to a real functional medicine Dr they discovered what the cause of all of my health issues was in one visit. I really enjoyed seeing Dr Singh, unfortunately she prescribed me a new medication at every visit. Prozac, Wellbutrin, adderall, Xanax, etc. A functional medicine Dr does not polydrug their patient to mask their symptoms. Then came my 4 year long journey of withdrawal due to Dr Singh abruptly taking me off all the antidepressants she had me on. She has done this to 2 other people that I know personally, and they have suffered equally as much as me as a result. When I realized that I was in withdrawal, her only response to me was "want me to send you another prescription for Prozac?" I stayed off all the meds and finally made out of the withdrawal hell, battled severe withdrawal symptoms including depression, suicidal ideation, panic attacks and horrific akathisia just to share a few and I now feel strong and amazing and I am returning to warn others and perhaps educate the Dr herself of the damages that overprescribing can cause. I think Dr Singh has good intentions and I really loved the aspire health model. I suffered so much from the effects of her negligence that I would feel terrible not speaking out.

I tried heat, cold, over the counter pain medications, rest, Voltaren, etc. With no improvement and a business trip on the horizon, I decided to see Dr. Zhou. I was grateful to get an appointment the next day. Dr. Zhou took her time in reviewing my medical history and the details of my lower back pain. She listened and I never felt rushed or uncomfortable. She explained the treatment and surprisingly, I didn't feel a y discomfort from the needles. Treatment included a deep, therapeutic massage and stretching. I'm 10 hours post treatment and can confidently say that the improvement in range of motion and diminished pain is significant. No, the pain is not completely gone, but I am thankful for the relief. I plan to see Dr. Zhou again before my trip.
