The last year (after I finished uni) has been the hardest of my life. I finished uni and straight away went to work on a summer camp in New York. I had the time of my life and came back feeling ready to embrace life. But when I came back home, I didn't realize how hard that would be, I came back to a famly that was having some real difficulties and turbulances. I lost my confidence and surety about where my life was going. (I think alot of students must go through a similar thing when they finish uni). Work and jobs were all over the place and so was my head and sense of self. I felt lost and confused and down. Anyway, the story goes like this, as I missed my garduation in the summer as I was in America, I managed to book it for this July so I needed a hair cut and feel good factor to turn my scraggled pinned back and over grown lob into something stylish and sophisticated. But Instead of going to Theo Georgio as I was in a rush to get it cut, I took my neglected locks to another salon. Unsure of what I wanted and not brave enough to go for what I really wanted (a funky short pixie style) I came away with a box bob. It was a good cut but not me AT ALL and looked awful on my face shape. I hated it and cried feeling even worse than what I did before I went in. I knew straight away I should have gone to Antony (who was the first person to give the confidence to go for a shorter style just before I was moving away to uni in 2008). I remember this hair cut giving me so much oopmh to start a new journey. So I knew he could help me this time. SO I went in, (covering my hair with a beret). I said I wanted to go shorter and Antony knew how to take it from there. It was like he read my mind when I was trying to describe what I was feeling and when he described a pretty, pixie and quirky emma Watson style cut. it sounded perfect and EXACTLY what I wanted deep down. I have so much trust in him we just went for it! It wasn't just about my hair it was about me and my personality, how my hair falls and how I can maintain it. My box bob is now a sexy short cropped pixie emma watson style with kinks of me all over it and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. He's given me the confidence to just go for it and I can't wait to graduate feeling like a super star, pretty and confident and back to my old self!!!!! Has anyone been thinking about changing their Hairdresser recently, you know the one, you've used the same Hairdresser for a number of years etc etc, I'm generally a nervous soul and my moto is normally "better the devil you know". However, I've walked passed the Salon many times often admiring the products in the window, I found myself inside making an appointment with Kate the stylist for the following week. I'm so impressed I can't tell you. Armed with a number of pictures of short bob type hairstyles, Kate and I went thought them all, why did I like this one and why that one she asked. She talked me through what sort of style would "actually" suit me and my hair type. Then she talked me through what she was going to do to regarding the shape, and how it would be best for me to continue to grow out my short layers to achive the final look I wanted. The Junior staff were very polite and helpful, the wash area have these amazing chairs that massage your back whilst you enjoy the shampoo and conditioning followed by a head massage, but if that wasn't enough the mood lighting above also help you relax. I was offered a selection of drinks and plumped for the latta it was delicious. Now the cut and finish I rec'd from Kate was just amazing I didn;t feel I was rushed quite the opposite I felt like i was the most important Customer they had that day! Kate is very proffesional, honest and attentive, but most of all a brilliant hairdresser. If you change just one thing about yourself this new year, then change your Hairdresser, I honestly I cannot recommend Theo Georgio and the brilliant friendly staff enough. Being a typical guy, growing up and into my early twenties I always had my hair cut by a typical barbers, offering a very standard 'short back and sides' - that was until 2011 when I began to actually care what I looked like. I always read articles in magazines that urged us guys to actually seek out a highly trained hairdresser, and I was promised that I would never look back. Through word of mouth I was told that Theo Georgio was a place to try, so I booked an appointment with Anthony and told him I wanted some fresh ideas, and fancied growing my hair a little longer into more of a styled look. I have now been a loyal customer for over 2 years, and I have never looked back. Why? The guys are full of fresh ideas, and don't get stuck in the same old boring rut when suggesting cuts that I have come across in the past, I always receive great, professional service, and along with changing the way that I dress and look after myself, it has really been the last piece of the jigsaw that I was looking for. For a guy that always looked old for his age growing up, when meeting new people they now guess that I'm 4-5 years younger than my actual age of 25 it's pretty unbelievable - and a big part of that is due to paying that bit extra to get a quality hair cut. It sounds ridiculous but I've never had so much luck with the opposite sex either..! I can't really fault this place, and that's why I will continue to be a loyal customer. read more

i had my hair ruined 2 days before my wedding in 2010 and ended up having my hair up and not the loose curled flowing style i wanted the colour cut and finish from my regular hairdresser of 5 yrs standing who had turned up to work with a hangover that day turned my wedding day into a nightmare. i never went to a hairdresser for 7 months and was getting slightly worried about the state of my hair- a groupon deal came up and i went with the intention of if i just get the cut i will be happy. Did i get a surprise what a wonderful salon on my arrival Danni came over and i explained my disaster 7mths previousshe reassured me and said that they could rectify the color condition and cut for me.Nervously i agreed to go ahead wondering at what stage i would bolt for the door it had taken me 2 yrs to get my hair the length i needed for my wedding and in less than 2 hrs a hungover stylist had destroyed my day!! The whole experience was amazing after the color had been done Baz came over and i explained how i wanted the cut and he did exactly as i asked he did minimum cut to it due to the damage previously administered but i left there having been treated like a queen by everyone and feeling like a million dollars with a fab cut and color . I can't thank the guys at Theo Georgio enough for giving me a hair cut that I can finally show off and be proud of for once.I admit that I'm a typical man, in that I don't really 'do' hair styles - but I needed to look smart for my sister's wedding and had no idea what smart would actually look like. I had Katie cut my hair, and even with my incredibly vague and generalised description of what I wanted (basically the same as above), she transformed my hair from scruffy and tired to smart and sophisticated - taking me through all of the options in detail first and showing me pictures to help me imagine. The salon is very clean and modern and there are even TVs at every chair, which I thought was quite cool, and you can be massaged whilst having your hair shampooed! The whole team are really friendly and bought me drinks and magazines and generally made me feel very welcome. For someone who finds usually finds going to the hairdresser's a painful experience, I was nothing short of impressed- Theo Georgio definitely proved me wrong and I feel so grateful that I came out of there with hair that people have been complimenting me on (which never happens normally). I have been going to Theo Georgio for around 6 or 7 years now I think and I could not ever imagine going to another hair dressers. When I found Theo Georgio I was looking for somewhere I could get my hair chemically straightened, something which I had been doing for a few years previously but had never been fully satisfied with the result and had even had some of my hair break off due to a bad experience. I had walked around and called soooo many salon asking if they offered this service and none of them did...until I walked into Theo Georgio. I booked my first appointment and I have been going there ever since. I really trust the stylists there and their opinion, they all have really good knowledge and advice to give on what would suit me and what I can do to experiment with hair without causing damage to my hair something which I really value. I primarily have Katie style my hair but when she is not available I will book in with Antony and I can not recommend either of them enough. One thing I really like about Theo Georgio is how everyone talks to you and they all seem to know your name which makes it really personal and nice. I have used a range of high street hairdressers with no biased loyalty to any particular brand or stylist prior to visiting Theo Georgio almost 10 years ago. I have since regulared at Theo's as they meet all the expectations through innovation by steering away from the barber shop concept. Upon entrance, you are greeted with a well equipped and designed outlet with neutral colours. Each seat has it's own tv screen and drinks are always on offer. Every fine detail has evidently been given careful consideration as even the seats at the wash station have a feet up and massage function. Staff are forever friendly and welcoming which further enhances the positive ambiance. Of my many experiences at this salon, I genuinely cannot pinpoint any occasion where I have been dissatisfied with the service and result I have received. I would highly reccomend Theo's for those who seek a new look or maintain one of their favourite. I have been going to Theo Georgio for many years now, I first went there when I had a bad hair cut by a hairdressers I was going to for years. Straight away the staff were really helpful and fitted me in straight away. Since that day I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else or letting anyone else do my hair. At Theo Georgio you get excellent care, all staff take the time to talk through what you would like doing, as well as listening to you they give you lots of advice on colour, the style as well as maintaining healthy hair. When I'm sitting in that chair I feel I'm in safe hands, I trust the staff that much I just let them do there job as I know they would do the best for me. I would use any stylist there as they all work at a high standard. I always feel so special and so pleased with my hair, that it gives me a lift. All staff are so friendly and I look forward to my visit as its a really friendly, chilled out salon. having spent years looking for a hairdresser that will LISTEN to what I want I found Theo Georgio on the internet and took a chance. Living in Cannock I travel to this hairdressers. For once I have not been dissapointed. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful and make you feel at ease. I'm not good at explaining what I want but Anthony manages to understand what I want with great results. I have been looking for a hairdresser who will make my grey hair ash brown for years and have been met time and time again by protests of how my hair will look better with red tones. I DONT WANT RED TONES!! I have long hair that is now cut beautifully. I have been thinking of going short for years but have have never felt able to trust a hairdresser enough to advise me. I know now that when I take the plunge I will be in good hands. At last I have a hairdresser who gives great advice AND takes into consideration what I want. I am met with enthusiasm with each visit. Just returned from my 1st visit to this salon,. I had booked in with Tony the Creative Director, I was led to a chair where I had my first consultation about how I would like my hair, I wasnt really sure but he showed me some pictures on a ipad and asked me what I liked and what I didnt like, he said he wouldnt start cutting until I was sure of what sort of look I was looking for. After 10-15 minutes we decided on the style, I was then taken to have my hair shampooed, can thoroughly recommend the massage chairs which were very relaxing, and made the overall experience very enjoyable. I was then taken back to the stylist chair, asked if I would like a drink and then Tony started talking me through the cutting techniques he was using and why, at this point having had the consultation before hand and him reassuring what styles would look good for my face shape I felt extremely comfortable and relaxed. I can say overall the experience was extremely enjoyable, the shop has plenty of hair products on display should you wish to purchase and I will be returning in the next 3-4 weeks. read more

I have just returned from yet another enjoyable and stress free trip to Theo Georgio's in the Gracechurch centre Sutton Coldfield. As the sort of person who in the past would rather visit the dentist than the hairdresser due bad cuts, I first went to Theo Gerogio's a few years ago and have never gone anywhere since, I now visit them every 6 weeks for a colour and cut. Antony and the team are knowledgeable and can truly be trusted regarding treatments, colouring and cuts. Along with their expertise they can always be guaranteed to make you feel welcome and special, whether you are the first or last customer of the day. Customer service is paramount to them with them always ensuring my hair looks fantastic, in fact the admiring looks are obvious as I walk past other shopper on leaving the salon. I would, and have, highly recommend them to my friends who have now become regular customers also. Too anyone who is looking for a new hairdresser go here you won't be sorry ! Time for a change? Having become disillusioned with my previous hairdressers due to a high turnover of stylists, a tired, outdated cut and highlights that were becoming increasingly brassy, i decided that a change was long overdue. Having read the reviews i decided that Theo Georgios was worth trying. A leisurely afternoon was spent being pampered by Antony and the team. Its obvious from the moment you enter the salon that customer care, whilst not being too intrusive is important. What followed was a science lesson in colour and hair care and and although Im not the most decisive person in the world i felt engaged in every decision about my cut and colour. The results were amazing, a sassy cut, soft natural, highlights and more compliments about my new style than i can ever remember receiving in the past. I have spent soooo long....experimenting with salons, getting a poor hair cut and colour, listening to the usual 'are you going out tonight' chit chat and then getting frustrated when you find that the staff member you just got used to has moved on....that when I discovered Theo Georgio, I was delighted to NEVER have to experience this again! When I moved to the area, Finding the team here was a stroke of luck, I have never been more delighted with my hair. It still looks cracking 6 weeks later, not the norm for me at all. I really felt that Antony took the time to get to know how my hair reacted, fell and moved before coming near it with scissors, and its paid off, big time, I've got the easy to do quickly in the morning/easy to glam up when needed cut i v much wanted, time is a resource I just don't have -I'm nowhere near ready to have a truly practical hairdo, I still want volume and glam as an option! Lea did my colours and she's half scientist/half artist, I swear, I'll never look back. It's also a very enjoyable experience, whatever their customer care policy is, it's spot on, I've been twice now and feel like I've known them for ages. Before going to Theo's I was embarrassed by my hair, naturally curly worn straight and my previous hairdresser had hacked layers into it obviously no idea how to treat or cut curly hair. I was recommended by a colleague to go to Anthony at Theo's and I haven't looked back since. I have been a customer at Theo Georgio for a year and in that time have always been more than satisfied with my stylist Megan who has always styled my hair to my exact requirements. Her warm friendly professional attitude makes it a pleasure to go there and the relaxing atmosphere of the salon is a joy. I recently went to theo georgio for a cut and blow and was hugely impressed by my stylist Dani. I know very little about hair care and feel quite out of my depth when deciding on what to have done. Not only did Dani take time to explain what the different options were (and what they would like look) she also gave me a tutorial on how to do different styles and answered questions I had about different product competently. Due to my lack of knowledge I am often quite indecisive about what to do and sometimes I sense that some hair dressers are getting a little fed up but Dani went to a huge effort to ensure that I was happy with what she was doing and afterwards if I would like anything changing. Many years ago I decided to try Theo's on the off-chance having recently moved to the area. The service I received was impeccable and over the years Ant has looked after me, encouraging me to try new colours and styles without pressuring me into anything I didn't like. Even though my job means I've moved elsewhere I still have my hair done at Theo's as I've come to trust Ant and the girls to look after my (very long) hair. It's worth every penny and I always leave the salon feeling really happy. The fact that I make a near 180 mile round trip each time speaks for itself about the quality of service and level of care! When choosig a new service/product I tend to rely a lot on reviews, so decided that it was time to add one of my own. I need to feel comfortable with my hair stylist and will remain loyal if I am happy with the service / cost/ cut etc. Anthony has been cutting my hair for a number of years and has got to know me and how I like my hair well enough for me to leave it completely up to him as to what he does with it. I have never been disappointed. The cut is always good and gets a lot of compliments. The staff at the salon are welcoming and friendly. The price is in line with what I would expect to pay for the expertise and qualification. I would definitely recommend Theo Georgio and Anthony in particular. read more
