For anyone looking to get American food on Exit 60, this should be your spot instead of any of the few chains. The food is good, but in 2025, you're are not going to beat the prices you see here (exception of omelettes). I was able to come in here and feed 3 people for $25 including tip. In this economy?? Service was really good as well. You sit yourselves inside an old school dinner like area/tables, but it's not bad. More importantly, the few times I went, the food came out in just a few minutes. One of those times while it was busy, I ordered, looked for the bathroom to wash my hands, and the food came out but a minute later. If any 18-wheeler truck drivers need to know, there are plenty of parking for multiple trucks of that size and has the biggest parking lot on Exit 60. It's nice to get food for $10 and worth trying, especially myself who looks for grilled chicken/fish around that price. read more

Before I retired going on five years ago I would eat a meal(usually dinner) at least once a week here. I worked for a nearby trucking company for fifteen years and they had big truck parking. I'm sorry but after this many years of being retired I couldn't find any previous pictures. The food was great and it was always affordable. The spaghetti at Theo's was absolutely delicious! It was always plentiful and hot. Over the years I did try other tasty dishes but that spaghetti was memorable! This is an old school restaurant and a come as you are type of place that is prospering despite nearby fast food joints. I miss Theo's and I plan to return soon. Who would want a cold hamburger and soggy fries when you can have delicious, just about anything imaginable freshly made to order food for the same price? Not me! read more

The wife and I had breakfast for our first visit to Theo's. This is a family-oriented restaurant and definitely not classy. The good things first: The place was clean; the service was good and the price very reasonable. We order basics at breakfast such as bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, toast and coffee. My first complaint was the coffee. I can't quite identify the flavor, but I will tell you we did not like it. The toast arrived not buttered, my wife's piece of toast lacked most of the center of the bread and one of my pieces was the heel of the loaf. The bacon, eggs and potatoes met expectations. For our breakfast appetite, we have a lot of choices. I doubt we will return for breakfast, but we will give their lunch and dinner a shot. read more

Stopped by this past week & It was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Ordered our food at 9:30pm, got our food around 9:50pm. The manger cut the lights off in the entire restaurant and came to our table RUDELY telling us they were closed we had to leave. We weren't even given time to eat after receiving our food, not to mention we Paid over $70 for just 4 people. By far the worst management I have ever seen. Breakfast is decent. I had one egg, hash browns, and toast. My husband had an omelette which came with a biscuit and hash browns, and our guest had a breakfast sandwich. Service was good, the tables were quickly cleaned once diners left. The bathroom still needs an update, with the loose toilet seat and paper towel dispenser falling off the wall. If they can get the prices under control I'd give them higher ratings - but everything is relative. First of all, I love diner food. I'll pick a good diner over anything any day - that's why I end up coming back here. The inside is filthy, they REALLY need to shut it down for a couple weeks and renovate or at least clean the hell out of it. The food is pretty good. Good burgers, good onion rings. Not on level with Spice Diner down on Woodruff Rd (probably the next closest diner - which is cheaper, cleaner and better food). Taste wise - Theo's comes in a close second, but the prices are about 40% more than Spice Diner and the inside is borderline disgusting. Menus are filthy, tables are gross. If you need a quick burger drive thru is probably ok - but they need to put some work into this place and get the prices down a bit. read more

Been going here for years. Always had good food. The ranch and honey mustard are amazing. It is a little on the expensive side, but nowadays what isn't. Diner fare: Meat and 3 vegetables, specials change daily (I think). My friend had roast beef, rice and gravy, fried okra, green beans. I had fried steak with gravy, macaroni and cheese, green beans, fried okra, and another had the gyro with fries. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our meals. Nice size servings; we all left quite full! They also had an extensive sandwich menu. I saw one of the hot dog/chili dogs. I have been dreaming about having one of them since this visit!! LOTS of good looking chili!! The Food at Theo's is consistent with advertising on the menu. Eating in, the Service is consistent. The restaurant is not the type one would expect a certain ambiance. went in and got a hamburger steak with baked potato and side salad. paid $20. not worth it. no seasoning on the hamburger steak, didn't come with gravy like it says on the menu. also says it's $12 on the menu so I'm not sure where the other $7 bucks came from. I got a regular sized drink and it said a baked potato and salad came with the meal (no extra cost). I added bacon bits to the potato but that can't be more than $1. would never come here again or recommend it to anyone. i did not get a receipt either so I think they just up-charged me for something. could of ordered it through doordash and it would of been cheaper, but still just as crappy. read more

Our first visit and it was really really good prices were fantastic. I had the club sandwich with fries and onion rings the fries were crinkle fries which I love that Onion Rings were very lightly battered, Club sandwich was great!!! My sister ordered the Gyro plate with fries, honestly it was disappointing only because the meat is frozen and not prepared off of a rack if that makes any sense. Both orders came with a side of coleslaw and we both ordered sweet tea and our man was under $20. The food was served very fast and hot service was excellent she continuously refilled my tea after being at the flea market for 3 hours and dying of thirst. We have been driving by Theo's around breakfast time for years. We stopped today around 10:15 AM and along with two more guests were the only ones there. Both of us ordered 2-Eggs over medium, Grits, Country Ham and toast. We ordered hot Tea as drinks. The Tea arrived within a minute and was steaming hot served to a large to go cup--it hit the right spot. Our food arrived shortly after with Eggs cooked hard, cold Grits, old Country Ham that was almost too tough to chew. Obviously, the Ham was old and discolored. They did microwave the grits to an acceptable temperature. The toasts were okay. The bottom line is you have to work at it to mess up a hot Breakfast. No attention to detail and less than fresh food were the culprits. On top of this, the restaurant was messy with multiple tables awaiting bussing. Pick up your tables, man! Even though this may be the cheapest place to eat in the area, it's not worth it. Food is personal it goes in our bodies... and they did our bodies wrong this morning. Get right Theo! Yooo! Just moved to Greer from downtown Greenville. This spot may just become my fried food trouble maker! The woman ringing us up and so pleasant and patient. There were so many options we were so indecisive. We grabbed plates for the whole crew. Calabash fish and shrimp , Double Bacon Cheeseburger with sautéed onions , chicken livers and fried chicken . They have the sweet honey mustard i love ! Chicken was fried like back home . Sweet tea was perfection. Just good old southern comfort food at reasonable prices . This will be my guilty pleasure. I must note that there was a young lady checking orders before they went out. She was so on point making sure every meal was correct and didn't fail to send back incorrect orders! I agree with Lee G .they will rip you a new one if you dont be carefull. They have a guy running the check out that cant speak english although he has been working there for years. They take your money but never give a receipt. I only order 2 items because i know the cost. I have seen other customers treated like Lee. If you order any items separate even though you dont want items in a plate watch out you are about to be had. Dont question the charge because they could care less. I ordered 2 bacon double cheeseburgers because I am doing Keto. A friend of mine had gone in a few days before and was charged roughly $12. A different Rude lady rang us up today, we got the same thing and they charged us both $19 each. I tried talking to the woman but she was rude, obstinate and unprofessional. The bacon double cheeseburgers had 3 strips of bacon on each one and it wasn't the plate. Just the meat cheese and bacon. Got a double cheeseburger they charge 5.85. I would have been ok with even $15. But $19? No! I will Never go back there again. I even called back and asked for the owner or manager and ended up with the woman who rang me up on the phone. We chose to eat here, because we were near by helping a family member. It was late, we were hungry & it was convenient. My husbands only requirement was no fast food. I'm not sure this didn't count as fast food. What makes a restaurant fast food..... Drive thru ? - they have one Menu board on the wall over the counter? - check Frozen food that came in on a truck? - check My husband got a gyro which was made with pre made Kronos meat strips. I got chicken tenders that were fresh (outta the freezer) made. We chose this over the Duncan family restaurant & that was a mistake. First and last time eating breakfast here. Forgot my order then made excuses about why. Claimed that the food didn't look right when it came out of the grill. They simply forgot to submit it. The eggs and bacon were greasy, and the hashbrowns looked exactly like McDonald's. I sat there for 15 minutes without a refill on my coffee as well. Waitress was more concerned with putting silverware into packages. Asked for non-sugar substitute, and they did say that they had it. Never brought it to the table. A lot of nitpicking, but really was a bad experience considering that there were only three of us in the restaurant. I have eaten there spaghetti dinner here a few times and it was very good. Just moved to the neighborhood and I'm glad this place is here. I had a gyro, fries, and cole slaw. The gyro is kind of buried in the menu, but it was worth the find! The fries were delicious and crispy. Great cole slaw too! The service was fast and friendly. This place is no frills. Just good (mostly fried) food at a decent price. Was a frequent patron since moving into the area. Lately the ownership apparently has changed and they're cutting corners and raising prices. It appears the founders daughter is running the place now and she's ill equipped to manage a business. Went in there two weeks ago and ordered a rib-eye sandwich. Before she took over you actually got a thick piece of steak in the bun. This time however it was about half as thick as a pencil, or less. I mentioned it to the server who told the owner. I had a bun full of lettuce and tomato and a sliver of steak. He blamed it on US Foods and said another customer had complained and it would be fixed. Cool. End of story. Didn't ask for a discount, ate my sandwich and left. No hard feelings. Went in this morning to have breakfast and it was very cold. We noticed the breakfast "special" which is every day had increased in price, the 2nd increase in the last few months. I mentioned to the server that is was very cold. Lots of older folks eat there and the lady behind us was cold as well. I told the server jokingly as I was laughing that if they didn't keep it so cold in there they wouldn't have to raise prices. Shortly after the woman came over and got all in my face, yelling at me and pointing her finger saying she didn't need to justify raising her prices and they hadn't raised their prices in 7 years. As she stomped off like a 4 year old I told her yes they had, I noticed it on the sign! Apparently she took offense to that. A few minutes later she walked over to an adjoining table, I told her our server also said she just raised prices and she stomped off again yelling at me again and continued yelling at me from behind the counter up front! As we were driving off, a deputy was standing in the parking lot with her who flagged me down. He said she told him I've been complaining about their prices for several weeks and she didn't want me back on her property. Are you kidding me??? The hamburger steak was awfully dry but I could've lived with that... But the owner is a total ass. I had read the yelp reviews online and thought you know these people just had a bad experience I'll try it anyway. So I went today to try it and I'll be damned if they weren't right. We waited in line to check out for over 10 minutes when I finally got up to pay she took four to go orders in front of me like I wasn't even standing there. I was in line for 15 minutes to pay a check for some dry hamburger steak. I said something to her, rightfully so, she needed some help up front. That didn't sit well with her so she told me about myself. With a very sarcastic "Well thank you ma'am thank you for telling me what I need." Lol I was so pissed I couldn't even think of a response.
