I don't write a lot of yelp reviews but I just can't say enough about Therapeutic Massage Company (specifically Ron). I have been going to Therapeutic Massage Company for 5 years. Initially, my husband and I started seeing him for our aches and pains from sport injuries, but now, I use Ron for maintenance and see him every 6 weeks. There is nothing cookie cutter about his massages. It is not the traditional textbook massage of spending 5 minutes on each part of the body. He is great at listening to what you think your body needs, but also intuitively knows what to mobilize and how deep to go and where your body needs the most work. He often releases a muscle group that then in turn "unwinds" the body into proper positioning and alignment which is the greatest feeling. His style of massage is unique in that he not only massages the muscles but ties it back to the function, structure and alignment of the body. Even though I am physical therapist, he is not intimidated to advise me on my posture and even gives me exercises to address my muscle imbalances that he may have found during the massage. I can say that doing a maintenance program of getting a massage every 6 weeks has helped me become a better athlete. I have noticed a difference in my yoga practice in that I often have a better sense of posture, less aches and better ease of movement after each massage. He has a relaxing and comfortable space. He uses a split adjustable electronic high-lo table which is so much better than a folding table that most therapists use. This means that he can position you in the greatest position of comfort (great for those with back issues). He plays music that I enjoy instead of weird ocean sounds or enya. My husband loves seeing him too. He has the strength to fix and work on my husband who is 6'2". I have highly recommended him to my clients and colleagues and they have not been disappointed. read more

Having come across the negative ratings written earlier, I felt compelled to write a more objective (and hopefully more helpful) and balanced review of Ron's services. I have been seeing Ron for "therapeutic" massage for the last 7 or 8 years. I too had gone to multiple providers prior and settled on Ron because he offers the type of body work that my body demands. I put the word therapeutic in quotes because not everyone wants or needs deep tissue massage. Ron does not and will not provide a "day at the spa" massage. I have particularly tight fascia around my muscles which makes me quite stiff and inflexible. My once a month visits to Ron are enough to maintain a reasonable amount of flexibility and keep me from turning to stone. If I am not in some amount of pain/discomfort when he is working on me, then no gains can be made. He is highly trained and certified in advanced massage techniques which allows him to assess your trouble spots, most of the time without you even telling him first, and address specific problems very effectively. I have had various issues over the years, including persistent/chronic plantar fascitis which Ron was able to "cure" in just a few visits. Ron is a student of eastern philosophy (mostly self taught) who has spent much time/effort working/studying to improve himself, not just as a human being, but in order to provide the best service to his clients. His, what we here might call, alternative thought processes and energy may not be everyone's cup of tea. I can not say enough good things about Dover Therapeutic and Ron. I had been to chiropractors, many physical therapists and other massage with very minimal relief. After the first session with Ron, I felt a huge improvement. I have now been to three sessions and feel as close to one hundred percent as I have in years. He knows within minutes of working on you where you need help and that is what he delivers. I couldn't help but notice some of the other negative reviews. If you call and make an appointment with a male masseuse, you will be seen by a male. He is polite and goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. You are not in a basement, it is a very nicely decorated office setting, very professional. I have been helped tremendously and treated with respect not only by him but his very kind wife that is very often in the office. I found him through a friend who had such an amazing experience of being helped by Ron she was telling everyone she knew. I couldn't agree more. Finding the right professional is so important for this type of therapy. What I can say is this, I've worked with serveral different therapists throughout the last 30 years, each one having a specific strength, each one different in every aspect of their strength. Therapeutic Message Company (specifically Ron) has helped me in many areas for creating a healthy body. Thank you Ron! Most recently I went through a bout of lymes disease and found that the Infared Sauna at Therapeutic Message Company to be very helpful in removing toxins created by fighting the lymes. I saw Ron last week as he was recommended to me by a friend. I have been having back problems for over two months, been to two different chiropractors, and was still experiencing pain and sometimes numbness in my left leg. I had never had a professional massage before and was extremely anxious. Ron fixed my problem- my numbness and pain were gone within a day. It was not a relaxing massage- but, he did what was needed to readjust my body and I am thankful for that. I was very happy with the treatment I received by Ron Boucher. He respected my input and requested I give him feedback during treatment before beginning the massage. If at anytime something was uncomfortable or hurt I let him know right away and he quickly changed his methods. Communication is essential to receiving the best treatment from any of your health services providers. If you don't clearly tell them they won't know how to best provide for your needs. I love Ron!! I am a big guy with a lot of body mass to get through to the deep tissue. Ron is the first massage therapist that has been able to get deep enough to fix me. He is very in tune to the human body. Ron picked up on my GI issues without me telling him about it; he was able to sense the warmth and restrictions in the GI tract. At the time I had ulcers in my colon. If you looking for a true healing experience, I highly recommend at least an hour, if not more. read more

I have been going to see Ron for the past 4 years. I initially started after having neck surgery to help my neck mobility. I spent many years beating up my body playing sports, and Ron is able to find all the spots that are bothering me during every visit. He is extremely knowledgeable about how all parts of the body connect to one another, and is far and away the best therapist I have been too. Cannot recommend him enough. read more

I have been getting massage therapy from Ron for 5 years, I started when my hip function was deteriorating and I was having trouble walking or standing for more then 15 minutes.
