Stopped in for a quick glass of wine on a Monday evening. Ambiance was buzzing with life through the small shop and MKE public market as well. My party was able to sit right away. From there the staff was attentive and knowledgeable of their wine selection. We had a glass of Grenache each and promptly bought a bottle afterwards.

My review is only for the wine shop. Superb collection with an incredibly knowledgeable staff. One of the gentlemen working took the time to educate me on the region and the grapes I was interested in, the lesson was complete with topographical studies and maps! I really had an amazing experience. Very approachable and down to earth when teaching a newbie about the complicated world of French wine.

Such a lovely little bar nestled into the bustling Public Market. I've often seen others grab some food to-go from different vendors and bring it to Thief to enjoy with their wine. In my case, I just stopped by myself for a brief visit and glass of vino. I enjoyed their sauv blend! It was nice and smooth, not at all on the sweet side which I appreciate too. I was a little peckish as well so I figured I would try their olive plate to pair. They were tasty, but the crostinis included were a bit stale. Maybe a tad pricey for what you get as well. I'd certainly return here again, as it's a nice atmosphere, they have plenty of great wine options, and kind, knowledgeable staff!

    Very nice cheese plate.

Easily the most civilized spot in the Public Market. Large selection of wines by the glass and craft beer at the bar. A few bites as well. Wines by the bottle next door.

Great little spot to grab a glass of wine! Owner was nice and let my husband and I eat our lunch at his bar while we also enjoyed a refreshing a glass of white! We will make it a tradition to stop here when we visit the market!

About last night. Attended the 2023 spring tasting and the pics posted are now a few of my favorite wines. There were 15 tasting tables manned with wine experts available to provide you with the background on the wines as well as the wineries. The event cost was $95 and the wines provided price range was $15-$70 with a discount for wines purchased at the event. Tasty apps and water were also available and the setting was the second floor of the public market. Bravo Phil this event was top notch!

Chose a nice cab from here to drink with my lunch. Bartender was nice and I got a tasty togo pour. I enjoyed it at a table upstairs, although Thief Wine has some nice seating at their bar and at a few tables. Nice people watching.

I've always loved Thief Wine and this location is on point. We popped in on a Friday evening and perused the Public market. Grabbed some desserts from C. Adams and then sat down at Thief Wine ate and shared a Carafe of Cabernet. We also ended up purchasing a couple hand-picked bottles of $10 wines noted by our server to be on point. The staff is always oh so helpful! It made for a very relaxing, laid-back way, to roll into the weekend and Public Market was busy enough to almost make you not feel like we're in the middle of a Pandemic. Wine not!

Nice and easy spot to grab some drinks and snacks while exploring the market. Lots of wine options and our server helped recommend something good

First of all the wine here is very reasonable! Of course they offer expensive bottles but, have carts of $10 red & white bottle... not a bad deal! Depending what wines you pick for your flight the price ranges from $3-$5

After walking by this spot for years, we finally sat down to have ourselves a drink before a dinner reservation. The location is hard to beat -- smack dab in the middle of the Milwaukee Public Market. Because of this, it is usually pretty busy, but we surprisingly snagged two spots on a Saturday evening. Service is quick and attentive. I wouldn't say it's overly friendly, but maybe the busy environment gets to them on the weekends! Wine is all across the board in terms of price, which is good. This means they cater to everyone. We ordered two different good rosés at decent prices and were satisfied. Best part about it though is you can bring over food from other vendors on the Market and have a glass of wine with your meal.

But parking is paid parking on the street, with spots hard to find. Once the parking situation is resolved, things are great. The vibes inside was awesome - very open, with lots of seating. There seems to be tons of seating options, and outdoor seating as well for when the days are warmer. And for a brewery, the most important thing? The beer, of course! And it was good. We've had their beer before and have always like them. It was great getting some more on draft. Agro pop IPA Yummy!! Panther pale ale OK, but not my fave. I wouldn't get it again. Cheese curds $14 These were delicious, but it did get salty after munching through the plate. We were limiting ourselves to just one drink, and needed more drinks or another food item to mediate our tastebuds. I'd order again with a proper meal or with more booze. Service was super nice, though not quite polished, which I don't mind at all. Points for a nice smilze!

But since I wasn't getting the happy hour special, I had a Piña colada. It was amazing, the bartender Blair made it to perfection. And I could quite literally say it was the cherry on top to my day. The wings are spectacular so they were a must. And I may be teetering on the scale to say that the dry rub is my favorite instead of the classic bbq. I also tried their fried pickle fries for the first time, I was skeptical since I'm not a fan of Texas Roadhouse fried pickles. Nope these could easily be a swap for regular fries. Not to mention these pickles remind me of the fresh pickles you buy from the fridge at the grocery store. Line dancing was a hit, another mixed crowd. Pleasant energetic and welcoming atmosphere. Even the host and waiters seem to hype it up, particularly if you come in with cowgirl boots. They opened up the garage door that let in a perfect breeze and the view was spectacular since it was a clear sunny forecast of a day.

It was one of the most special dining experiences we've ever had in Milwaukee. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we entered the home of an Argentinian chef. In fact, you pretty much having Chef Ana as your own personal chef, with her husband Peter also providing some exceptional hospitality. She came up to our table multiple times during the evening to chat with us and ask us how our meal was. It's pretty amazing that she is the sole chef in the restaurant and is able to prepare all the meals while also checking in with patrons regularly. The food was really good. They have two prefix options, and we went with the paella, with an appetizer, dessert and bottle of rosé. Each course felt thoughtfully curated, beautifully presented, and bursting with authentic flavor. The warm staff and intimacy is something unique and different than anything else we've experienced. It's rare to find a place where you can experience both world-class cuisine and the personal touch of the people behind it. FYI, there is a price to be paid for such wonderful food and service. But for a special occasion, it's well worth the money spent and would be right up near the top of my list. Cavas is truly a hidden gem -- If you're looking for a unique dining experience, I recommend you check it out!
