Deep stuff hey?! It's all a load of crap of course, but sounded pretty sweet hey?! Greenacres Asian Supermarket is my favourite spot to pick up my ingredients for my Kitchen Chemistry Set.....I like to play. They have a MASSIVE selection of sauces and marinades to work your way through and more noodle varieties than even Naruto could handle! There are two down sides, just enough for me not to give the place 5 stars. Firstly the selection of Japanese imports is very small, so I do have to head to the market for most of my Ninja-Samurai Fix. The other is the frozen dumpling and bun selection is not overly exciting. Some good stuff, but nothing I haven't seen before. Just one final note for those who like good Pork Crackling. They have locally made bags for sale in either natural, chilli or Salt and Vinigar Flavour. Get on it (especially the Chilli variety), but stay away from the jerky (bloody terrible).

Super cheap prices on everything you'd hope would be here. We got a massive jar of fried shallots (a must-have garnish for all Asian - and other - cooking), as well as fried garlic and dried mushrooms in large quantities. Their frozen dumplings are great prices and very tasty. They have a large range of frozen food which we made the most of. Though, stay away from the frozen ladyfinger bananas - they were awful. What little flavour they had was not good. There's a huge range of bulk packages of rice and noodles - we get our rice here for great prices. For flavour, there are rows upon rows of different sauces, toppings and recipe bases. Add to this a huge range of crockery and cooking equipment and you have all the ingredients for amazing homemade Asian feasts.

It is worth making the 5 minute trip out of the city, as this place is huge, and very rarely gets crowded inside. Another thing I noticed with the new changes is that they now have a man whose sole purpose is to hand you a basket on the way in (it is freakily starting to remind me of China where I saw someone whose sole job was to help trolleys off escalators). Anyway it is a nice feeling to be welcomed and handed a basket. The other change I like is in the fresh food section. The smallgoods and seafood areas have lovely coloured tiles behind them that, at least, make you feel like you are in a real market. The produce is beautifully displayed on ice to try and make you feel like it is fresh but they don't fool me. I only go here for such foods if I can't make it anywhere else. I personally don't like buying any fresh produce from supermarkets. Anyway it fulfils a need. The supermarket, in general, is well laid out and airy so at least you don't feel claustrophobic. It has a good selection of just about everything but in recent times I have become aware of home brands taking over all the shelves so it is hard to find the real brands. The other interesting thing about this supermarket is that in summer there are often lots of tourists from overseas doing their grocery shopping which is always entertaining.

They sell bubble tea in store, which you can order from outside. It's cheaper than Qubic and Chatime, and is just as tasty. The store itself is small and tightly-spaced inside. Be prepared to navigate through aisles and fellow shoppers within elbow range. It can be a pain if you're not in the mood and just want to get in and out with your groceries. The service is quite good though, and the staff are generally helpful. I was a bit disappointed with the limited range of Indomie, my favourite two-minute noodle brand. They only had three flavours. They do, however, sell Mi Goreng for around $12 for a box of 40. This place isn't bad and is open later than other Asian grocery stores around Chinatown, but for a wider range of stock I would recommend shopping around at those other stores.

These guys stock everything you'd expect from an Asian grocery store, which is in no way a disappointment. Whether it be vegetables, noodles, drinks, snacks, you name it - they'll probably have it somewhere in there. The aisles are a little narrow, so expect a lot of shuffling past confused shoppers. They recently also started selling macarons in-store - they're incredibly colourful and they seem to have a large range of different flavours. I'll remember to ask them next time if they're homemade - I can't resist a homemade macaron!
