There are many developmental toys and activities which the children had a blast exploring. The space was very clean and well organized! I saw the staff actively tidying the space, assisting with the different payment features, and engaging the children. They offer memberships, as well host private events and various therapies that are held on site. It's a one stop shop. Their memberships can be covered by the Regional Center or funded through Self Determination program, but of course, you can pay of pocket. The owner Lindsay is extremely knowledgeable and helpful! This San Ramon location is their first location, but have since expanded to two more sites in Berkeley and Belmont. They also have tables for parents to have a break or work at which is very thoughtful. When I went also had a smaller tot area as well as an inclusive, larger space for all. Overall, this is a wonderful facility that fosters inclusion and a welcome addition to the area.

It is rare to find a space where children don't just play, but truly thrive. The facility is top-notch and equipped with every amenity the kids could possibly need to stay engaged and happy. It is also one of the few places where I can actually feel relaxed as a parent, knowing they are in a safe, thoughtfully designed environment. What really makes this place special, however, is the incredible staff. They are so caring, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping kids. A special shout-out to Jorga, who manages the place! Her leadership and dedication are evident in every detail, and she goes above and beyond to ensure every family feels welcome and supported. If you are looking for a professional, warm, and high-quality community for your children, this is it. We are so grateful to have found them

There's so much to do, climbing, building, exploring, getting wiggles out, and even a quiet room to chill. You can tell the folks behind it really thought through everything. The vibe, the décor, even the website feel so neurodiverse-affirming. They have tech to help build community around members too. We live in Novato so the distance makes a membership tough right now, but I'm hoping we can join in the summer when school isn't in the way. I'd love to see Spirited Play Labs expand to more places as this is the future IMO (please come to Novato, I'll help!). For families like ours, where typical play spaces can feel stressful or isolating, this place is a true gem, welcoming, thoughtful, and hopeful for the future. Thank you!!!

From the very first day, the teachers and staff have created a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment. The curriculum is developmentally appropriate and balances academics with plenty of play-based learning, which has helped our child grow both socially and intellectually. I feel that my child (6th grade) is getting really good education at almost half of the tuition that some other private schools charge. And the tuition ($1450) covers staying there all day long, i.e. till 5:30pm. Some other private schools charge more but are open till 3:00 only. I personally think it's quite affordable especially considering the fact that even in public schools I was paying around $600 for after school day care and then to supplement the public school education, I was sending my kid to Kumon, another $300. But the quality of education here is so much better than Kumon, the kids are learning things above their normal grade level. All the teachers are really caring and hard-working. The English teacher Ms Sandya works tirelessly and creates custom lessons based on children's level and is really prepping them for future SATs/college essays, etc. The school also has no screen policy except for the computer class which has really been a blessing as doing that is bringing back children's focus in today's screen slaver world. The class sizes are really small right now (less than 5 kids in most classes) but even then my child is really happy going there. So overall we are very satisfied and love the new school.

He started at the school in preschool, and from the very beginning, his teachers made him feel loved, safe, and supported. Miss Sipra, Miss Poonam, and Miss Vaishali were incredibly loving and kind during his preschool years. They showered him with affection and care, making every transition smooth and comfortable for him. What stood out most was how personally invested they were in his growth -- they truly understood his individual needs and helped him develop with patience, encouragement, and warmth. As he moved into Pre-K, we were equally fortunate to have Miss Sandhya and Miss Keiani guiding him. They created a nurturing environment while also helping him learn the importance of boundaries, structure, and kindness. Under their guidance, we saw our son grow leaps and bounds -- academically, emotionally, and socially. Miss Sandhya's knowledge, patience, and years of experience truly shine through in the way she teaches and connects with children. Along with Miss Keiani's warmth and encouragement, they made a wonderful team that helped our son feel confident, supported, and excited to learn every day. We will always be thankful for the positive impact these amazing teachers had on our son's early years. Their dedication, compassion, and care mean so much to our family, and we highly recommend them to any parent looking for a nurturing and supportive environment for their child.

The teachers Ms. Sipra and Ms. Vaishali have been very caring, nurturing and patient with the children. I am truly marveled at the growth - (both academic and social/emotional) in the past year for our child under their care. They have instilled curiosity and a sense of responsibility for our child as well. My kid has enjoyed this year so much and made many friends in the class. That is only possible due to the positive environment that the teachers create for our kids. I am truly indebted to both these teachers for the love, affection and care they have given our child and the many memories they have created. I would be remiss if I did not thank Ms. Pam, Ms. Radha and Ms. Cheryl who all stepped in briefly during the year to help with the class and kept the same happy learning environment alive. I also need to whole heartedly thank Ms. Swetha for her fun science class, Ms. Maricella for instilling the curiosity to learn Spanish in kids and Mr. Dmitri for the amazing music lessons. Special mention: It was exhilarating to see our child perform with confidence for the Winter and Spring musicals. All the class teachers and Mr. Dmitri have given their best effort to make our kids shine and perform with so much enthusiasm. Final mention, all the staff especially Ms. Meera and Ms. Shehla are amazing as always, welcoming us with a smile and tending to our needs and requests with utmost attention and care. This campus is amazing and I strongly recommend this bunch of teachers and staff for parents looking for their kids' early education needs.

The sense of community here is so special; in my experience, families are welcoming, supportive, and the school creates many opportunities to come together. The campus is safe, welcoming, and offers great extracurriculars, too. I couldn't recommend St. Edward more!

We were hopeful for a fresh start in a supportive Catholic community. What we got instead was an unwelcoming, cold, and often dismissive environment -- one that ultimately failed my child and our family. From Day One, We Were Treated Like Outsiders Right away, we were labeled "former OLG families" in group emails, constantly reminded that we weren't "really" part of the St. Edward community. We paid tuition just like everyone else, but it was clear we weren't seen the same. Leadership That Doesn't Listen The principal, Tina Cruz, was cold and condescending. As a single mother, I often felt judged and ignored. When I voiced concerns, I was met with copy-pasted quotes from the school handbook instead of actual dialogue. Trying to engage with the administration was like talking to a wall. There was never a sense that they cared about our concerns -- only that they wanted us to stop bringing them up. A Lack of Support for Kids with ADHD My child has ADHD, and it was clear the staff had very little understanding or training around it. Instead of working with us to meet my child's needs, the school treated them like a discipline problem. No empathy was shown. They expect all students to conform, regardless of how they learn or what challenges they face. Overuse of Petty Infractions The school hands out behavior infractions for the tiniest things. My child once received one just for making a classmate laugh. The kids are expected to act like silent robots -- there's no room for personality, joy, or normal child behavior. Favoritism and Bias There's a clear culture of favoritism at St. Edward. Certain families -- mostly those who are close with the principal -- are treated much better than others. Their kids seem to avoid consequences that other children receive for the same actions. It's demoralizing to see this kind of inequity, especially in a school that claims to value community and inclusion. We always felt like we were on the outside, being judged instead of welcomed. Overly Strict Spanish Teacher The Spanish teacher is infamously strict and borderline unreasonable. Parents even refer to her as the "tardy police." One-minute delays are treated like major offenses. My child was once scolded for returning late from the bathroom. This teacher seemed more concerned with enforcing rules than building a supportive classroom. Poor Handling of Bullying When my friend's child was bullied, the school had them fill out incident forms--but did nothing meaningful to stop it. The bullying continued, and the response from staff was minimal at best. Even worse, after speaking up, the child felt even more isolated and afraid of retaliation. It was heartbreaking to watch. The school's handling of the situation felt more focused on creating a paper trail than actually protecting the child or addressing the problem. Final Thoughts We came to St. Edward looking for community and care. Instead, we were met with exclusion, indifference, and rigid systems that do not support children who are different. We're no longer at this school -- and we're relieved. But I'm sharing our experience to warn other families: if your child needs compassion, support, or a fair environment, you will not find it here. This was our honest experience as a paying family who was never made to feel like we belonged. I wish someone had warned me before we enrolled. I hope this serves as that warning for you. EDIT: The response below contains a false version of events that try to reflect negatively on me. Unfortunately, I have not been given an opportunity to respond directly, so I am adding clarification here. I want to make it clear that I communicated to Tina Cruz that, as a full-time working single mother of 2, I do not have the flexibility to attend in person meetings. Using that reality as justification to shift blame or suggest I have been uncooperative is both unfair and misleading. I will not tolerate being mischaracterized or intimidated into silence.
