It seemed like there was little to no organization in terms of setting up a plan for me. Each session was different and there was no continuity or follow through from one session to the next. I am a musician, and since Mari promoted herself as a life coach for musicians, I thought that this would be an excellent fit. But I didn't get the sense that she was very experienced with musicians as a whole; mostly just as a journalist covering rock musicians who were successful and touring, not the ones who are struggling with finding success. I felt at times she would name name-drop famous musicians just to try and get my attention, or to prove that she was experienced and well-connected in the music industry. Obviously I felt that her connections in the industry would be an added incentive, and it was implied that she would introduce me to some, but that never came to fruition. I wish my time with her had worked out, and that I did not have to give a review like this. But I feel really let down and cheated after seeing positive feedback from her other clients. I spent a lot of money for her services, money that a struggling musician working a day job, paycheck to paycheck, doesn't really have. I definitely had my doubts about starting life coaching with her, and I guess I should have taken those doubts seriously.

I have been working with Josh for close to a year now and have nothing but praise for him as both a coach and mentor -- I have gotten more insights and practical steps to take from him than from any therapists or counselors from the past. If you are feeling stuck, stressed out or overwhelmed (feeling overwhelmed was my ongoing specialty!), Josh has so many tools to offer you to put things in perspective and move past your obstacles. One of the most valuable progress strategies I learned from him is that the first step in any personal quest is CLARITY...hmmm...something most people, including me, subconsciously don't even realize is necessary to upping your game. Not only yours truly, but our now 10-year-old son as well is regularly meeting with Josh, who is EXCELLENT with kids. Our son has been struggling with some personal hardships and also needed a good male role model/mentor. I thought there was no way I could ever find someone to help me feel the way that I do now about my…read morelife and myself. I was stuck in the past and beating myself up for my past mistakes, but along with family, relationships, two jobs, and school I was going out of my mind. I was so up and down not knowing what is right or what is wrong and I was stuck in a unhealthy cycle.
