On 11/20/24, the "AAlways Hookin Towing and Tire" proved me wrong. In the late afternoon of the 20th, I found myself with a flat tire and no spare. Prior to its failure, I was aware that it had to be replaced and had purchased a used tire. Two tire places in Powhatan had already turned me down flat, and actually seemed annoyed that I was bringing my own tire. So at 4:30pm, in a last ditch effort to get back on the road, I called AAhookin' Cindy answered the phone and patiently listened as I told my sad tale. She asked what time I could be there and said even though closed, she would have someone come over and help me. I thought "Im sorry, what?" thinking I had heard her wrong. I had not. Justin arrived just as I did and immediately started to work. He came back out a few minutes later with the sad news that the tire I had purchased was defective and could not be used. They had no other suitable tire in the Powhatan Store, but He was certain there was one in the Gum Springs Location. So I entrusted my rim to him and went home. The next morning I call to see if Justin had found time to look for a used tire for me. He had looked, retrieved, mounted and balanced the thing and it was ready to go. I thanked Cindy and explained I would have to find a ride to get the tire and would call her back with a pickup time. WITHOUT A PAUSE SHE ASKED "WHERE DO YOU LIVE?" followed by "YOU DONT NEED TO FIND A RIDE WE WILL JUST DELIVER IT YOU". And that is exactly what they did. 1: OPENED A CLOSED SHOP AND HAD JUSTIN DRIVE OVER FROM GUM SPRINGS . 2. WHEN THAT TIRE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED, JUSTIN FOUND A TIRE AND GOT IT READY BY 830AM. 3.WHEN SHE LEARNED I WAS IN NEED OF A RIDE, CINDY HAD JUSTIN CLOSE THE SHOP IN GUM SPRINGS AND HAND DELIVER THAT TIRE TO ME. HE EVEN PUT IT ON.I know this is long winded, but honestly have never, ever had this level of customer service.It was amazing and I cant thank Cindy and Justin enough. I can think of a dozen businesses that should send their staff to this lady so she can shoiw them what true customer service should look like. And after asking around about here, I understand she is without a doubt one of the most skilled and proficient Tow Drivers in our area. If you have read this and dont use them, you NUTS.

I contacted this business over a week in advance and told them that I would be coming in from out…read moreof town and would need to leave by 1:00 PM. I was told that there would be no problem. That the job takes about three hours so if I had my truck to the shop in the morning they could have it back to me by 1:00. I had my truck at the shop before 10:00 AM. However, they didn't start working on the truck until 12:00 and I didn't get the truck until 4:30 PM. Next is payment. I was quoted $550.00 for 6.5 foot F-150 bed. When I got to the shop I was asked if I would be paying with cash or card. I chose credit card. I was surprised to see the bill was now $599.00. I was told that there was tax and a surcharge for using a credit card. I was never informed of this and nothing on the web site advises of it. The final straw was after I got the truck home I noticed that they placed a Bullet Liner sticker on my back glass. I paid enough to them. I don't need to advertise for them. They should be partying me. I do not recommend this business to anyone. Stick with the original Linex.

My alternator was sliced open and then glued together and then duck taped by the weirdos out in Richmond who were only supposed to be giving me an oil change. They almost ruined my car. Brian saved it. Did an excellent job. They had to order a part, they got it in later that day. The front desk receptionist was fun but it was her last day. They don't do a good job of record keeping there. But it's a country place. So I assume it's talented mechanics but front office still operates in an outdated manner. Either a way, it's farmville. Next time I'm home if I need service for my car, I'm bringing it here for Brian to fix.
