Sam was absolutely amazing last night! Despite being very short-staffed, she provided exceptional service and made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of throughout our visit. She even brought ice water for our puppy, which was such a thoughtful touch and greatly appreciated. You would never have known they were short-staffed based on how smoothly she handled everything. Her positive attitude, attentiveness, and professionalism truly stood out. Thank you, Sam, for making our evening so enjoyable! This was my second trip here, and unfortunately, it just confirmed that the first disappointment wasn't a fluke. If the first visit was a 3, this one scraped the bottom at a solid 2. I really wanted to give them a fair shot to redeem themselves, but the wings were just a repeat offender--completely sloppy and soggy again. There is absolutely no crunch, no texture, just a wet, rushed mess that completely ruins what should be classic pub comfort food. It takes a lot for me to downgrade a spot on a return visit, but two strikes back-to-back means something is seriously off in the kitchen. I'm officially waving the white flag on this one. This is NOT gonna be good. First, I have been to every Thirsty Turtle Sea Grill more than once. Except for this Jensen Beach location. I have rated ALL of the other locations no less than 4 stars. The scene: Sunday evening with another couple. Arrived 15 minutes before the end of happy hour. The place was not crowded.The bartender/server/official apologizer took drink orders and a smoked fish dip starter. The dip arrived with drinks, including an unexplained cloudy draft beer. The dip was just meh- nothing special. Nothing made in house. The jalapeño slices and pepperoncini were standard and the packaged crackers were broken. It was 6:10 when our orders were taken. The place was starting to clear out but we noticed a large number of take out orders being picked up from food deliveries. Could this be causing our delay in getting our food? Our fish dip plate was never bused. We were finally offered a refresh of drinks. I asked for an iced tea. Nope. The machine was down. Another apology. About 7pm the manager/chef dashed out and...apologized for the delay. Said the kitchen was getting slammed. Yes, from the take out orders! Maybe they should take care of the seated diners first and give a realistic wait delivery time to the call in orders. Oh, and the manager....apologized....and said they couldn't serve the chicken piccata special because they were out of the egg wash. Read THAT again. Egg wash is eggs and water or maybe milk. It's a simple recipe. And. they. were. out. Our eye rolls made clicking sounds like a doll's eye sockets. By 7:35 our entrees arrived. Not with jubilation but with that sickening feeling you get when the doctor re-enters your exam room without a smile. My entree was cold. Another's burger was undercooked and came with the wrong side. The piccata replacement of fish tacos was okay and I forgot what the other entree was because too much time had passed. The bartender/server suggested dessert like she knew our answer. 8:00pm we paid a slightly reduced bill, bumped into some Door Dash guys and left very disappointed. I've walked by a few times but never stopped in. We were looking for a good lunch spot on a Sunday and I came across the Thirsty Turtle - what a great experience! Our server was so friendly and helpful, and the food was deeelicious! They also have great beer specials and happy hours. Being that it was a Sunday, there weren't many people there but that was cool. I will say, we will definitely be back frequently. If you haven't stopped in, you must. This year we discovered a new restaurant in Jensen Beach. My understanding is that there are several of these throughout Florida but this is our first encounter. We ordered drinks and spent some time exploring a really huge menu. There were probably 10 things that caught my eye but in usual Florida fashion, I went for the grouper and my wife tried their mahi mahi. As expected, both were excellent. We often do a "surf and surf" where we each order a different seafood dish and split it. We did that today with no regrets. Both fish were flavorful and well prepared. It has been so refreshing in our many restaurant meals to have excellent service. Today was no exception.Service was attentive and drinks were never empty. They have a great chef in their kitchen and lovely staff serving. Very welcoming environment. I have a gluten allergy and there were loads of options! There isn't a separate menu but don't let that deter you. The kitchen clearly works with care regarding allergies. I had a scallop Cobb salad and I loved the mix of ingredients. If you want great wings, this is the place for you. Been to the Jenson location a few times and the wings are spot on. The chicken stinger (buffalo style) was awesome. Our son loved the hamburger, and our other some loved the shrimp scampi. We went in on a Tuesday, and found out the play bingo, I was shocked. It was pretty cool and we had fun with it. I know the place is still new but it could use a Tv or two in the room to the left when you walk in. They have two big Tvs but for people at different angles turning your head the entire time might not be the most comfortable. Lots of seating and accommodating for large parties. We stopped in for dinner on the weekend and were able to be seated immediately. We did choose to sit at the bar, but there were tables available as well. I ordered the Caribbean wrap, and my husband ordered fried mushrooms and a burger. My wrap was good and different from anything I've seen before. However, my husband ordered his burger medium well and it was not cooked correctly. We also thought it was odd that it just came out with the patty, cheese, and bacon. No toppings like lettuce, tomato, onion, or pickle as you would normally expect with a burger. I will say the staff were all very friendly and attentive. We were going to Mulligans for a burger but the wait was long so we walked the block and decided to try the Thirsty Turtle. On the positive: we were seated quickly at 7 pm on a Sat night. The staff were very friendly and seemed to work together well. The cons: restaurant was extremely noisy and was air conditioned to the point my husband put on his jacket (a rare occurrence). About the food: I asked for recommendations and the Captain's catch special was highly recommended. It came with choice of 2 sides. The food was average at best for $28. The broccoli was not warm and the fish nuggets were very small so were a bit dry. However, the tartar sauce and cocktail sauces saved the seafood. My husband had the Smash burger special with fries. The menu said the bun was going to be toasted & pickles were going to be on the side. He said the burger wasn't a typically prepared thin smash style and the bun was not toasted & the pickles were on the burger. We will not be back. I'd give it a 2.5 if I could. The good is the bartenders/waitresses (only 2) were amazing as they were trying very hard to keep up with the crowd. The bad is the only 2 bartenders/waitresses were waiting on the bar, the outside patio and the dining room all while also busing the tables. This was during a Monday holiday and season. My wife and I decided to stop in for dinner on Friday evening, happy hour was weak, place seemed busy. Not sure if people who worked there just hanging out at a table or if it was the owners but the wait staff and servers were attentive. I ordered a cheesesteak, cant say I would order it again, very greasy and tasteless, my wife had stingers, basically chicken tenders and the sauce was very sweet, not something I would order but she liked them. It was a nice evening for a walk, parked in Publix and walked down a block so parking is not really a problem. Not a fan of the non cash fees on the bill, but I guess it is what it is. Do not have drinks here if Jason is bartender. He's grumpy and a liar. Our cousins are visiting from Scotland and we took them here last night for cocktails, my husband ordered a specialty drink and he gave him a vodka and lemonade instead. He stated that his specialty drink would be 12 this one is only 6 so he drank it . Mind you we all had one and a pint, total 38 dollars , he charged for specialty drinks anyway and it was Happy Hour !! This place sucks ! Ended up at Lures so much nicer !! read more

We were seated at a table without any menus, where we sat and waited for 15 minutes before we just got up and left. They never brought menus or returned for our drink orders. Have you ever encountered a Karen? Tonight I did as well as the staff here. They handled it perfectly. Halley, the awesomeness behind the bar, was perfect. She did everything she could to satisfy the Karen. I felt she did more than expected. Besides that, this place is great! I had such high hopes, but it was meh. We visited on a Saturday at 6pm. It started with the septic truck at the side entrance pumping what smelled like poopy, so not a good start. We asked for a table and the hostess said we could sit at the bar. Nope, we want a table. How about a high top? Nope, we want a table. So, on the third time she reluctantly agreed to seat us at a table. Ordered water with lemon. Received water, no lemon. Asked for a Yuengling. Waiter came back and said it would be a while because they have to change the keg. Table needed a shim, so I got under the table to stick a coaster under the leg. Ordered the chicken nachos. They were good, large quantity. Fiesta chicken wrap was also very good. Fries were yummy. $50 for nachos, chicken wrap, and 2 beers. The food was good, but it seemed a little pricey for what we got. Went in after exercising at the beach about 5 ish. Sat at the bar, where there was only one other person sitting. "Hey! finally another person" this patron said to me. subtle sign number one. "I'll have a beer and i'll take a look at the menu", I said to the bartender. Took a look at the menu and then asked the bartender if they have a happy hour. Oh, here is the happy hour menu, says the bartender. "What's good, what do people really rave about?".."evrything" says the bartender. Subtle sign number two. I ordered the seared tuna appetizer. It came out in 5 minutes. Like most seared tuna dishes it was served with ginger. Before eating any of the tuna, I tasted a piece of the ginger to clean my palate. It was warm and tasted like ammonia. I immediately spit it out and said to the bartender that the ginger was bad. I then told the bartender that he should tell the chef that the ginger was bad. Reluctantly he picked the ginger up and went back to the kitchen. Subtle sign number 3. I did not see the bartender for about 5-10 minutes but I believe the the cook or chef poked his head out of the kitchen several times and gave me the stink eye. I get it. I have worked in enough restaurants to know how a complaining customer is sometimes treated. Subtle sign number 4. I finally got the bartender's attention and ordered another beer. "Hey, any chance of getting some more ginger?" I asked. "No, there isn't any more left and there wont be anymore in until at least tomorrow". Subtle sign number 5. To be fair the seared tuna was OK as was the Wasabi Aioli. I have been to other thirsty Turtle locations, while not a top of the line restaurant, the generally serve decent food at a fair price. This location is doing nobody any favors. I hate bashing restaurants, especially in today's fluctuating economy. Mediocre service and less then decent food is not going to make this location work. We came to the thirsty turtle for a birthday celebration. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly hostess and she was able to accommodate us and relayed a message to our server we had a birthday. Our server was attentive, and " knew the assignment ". Our food was amazing! We had a party of five and each of us loved our meal! Items we ate were: gr chx Caesar wrap, gr chx sandwich, fish tacos, chx ranch wrap, and the Caribbean chx wrap. The fries were awesome also. All items were plentiful! We had the Turtle Egg for bday dessert and it was amazing! We also enjoyed "Happy Hour drink prices"! Visited the long awaited Thirsty Turtle in Jensen Beach after a long construction and permit phase. Stop by for Happy Hour which consists of one item, dozen steamed claims and minimal drink discounts. My wife had onion soup which was dark black and appeared the onions had been burnt when sauté and had a bitter taste. My steamed claims were cooked excellent but it was served with melted margarine not butter. First visit was less than exciting, could be grand opening challenges but they are going to need to step up their game with all the competition around. Willing to give it another try in the future. I have always been a fan of Thirsty Turtle's wings, and within the last couple of weeks my friends and I have gone to the Jensen location on Sundays to watch football. The location is fantastic, at the bottom floor of the historic Jensen Inn, the wings are as good as ever and our bartender, Sam, has been absolutely great. She is very attentive, friendly and can hold a conversation with her guests. We will certainly be going back for the wings and service. read more

We were excited for you to come to town. since September we have noticed " as business owners ourselves " you have been thru 2 managers in less then a year of opening . Maybe it's you? the blonde lady who walks around with a resting b**** face , your the owner act like it. what a shame . She was gone for a few weeks we noticed and the young gentleman that was a bartender was running the place it seemed the staff was happy and at least smiling . We met Sal the original owner and he was so friendly and caring for his customers!! so sad to hear what happened to him. We came in yesterday for lunch and our other bartender won't say a name cause seems the owners are on a high horse they are loosing the best people that happened to them . We watched your cook try to make a video for your establishment...cooks should focus on pushing food out in a timely manner and how to temp a burger instead of a video and maybe you would wouldnt have us walking out waiting 65 minutes for burgers and chicken wraps . All we can say is good luck cause the regulars are talking and we won't support a business owner who treats our local bartenders and servers like they aren't valued .
