I went on a crazy overnight road trip to Burnie a few weeks ago and I view every crazy road trip around the state as an opportunity to tick something off the to-do list. I didn't even have to push this issue myself, as the friend I visited near INSISTED that we visit Thirty Three Cups for breakfast the next morning, because apparently any visitor is a good excuse for her to eat their corn fritter dish. She spoke so highly of said fritters that, despite a very enticing menu in its entirety, all three of us ordered them. Those fritters are what is UP. Woman knows what she is talking ABOUT. There was every opportunity to hype that dish to the point of overhyping, and yet we were still blown away by how tasty that combination of classic, battery corn fritters with smoked chicken made us so happy that all three of us basically licked our plates clean. Also good was: the coffee, the stocking of Henry's ginger beer (aka My NW Crack Juice), the cheerful service, the cool fitout, the wall scribblings, that mural! The only negative was the lack of an all-day breakfast menu but heck, even the lunch menu looked like I could bury my face in it quite contentedly. I can't begin to detract stars for that singular reason, especially as I'm still thinking 'bout dem fritters weeks later. Take me back to the north west coast! Heck, take me back to ULVERSTONE! Great service, cosy little café with a handmade vintage feel. Ever changing menu so worth multiple visits. Breakfast so good but you'll have to get up early to catch it! Amazing dessert cabinet, they make everything in-house. Gluten free options. You can also pick up some free coffee grounds for your garden. read more

Had breakfast here this morning and apart from the coffee there wasn't a lot I liked about it. The service attendant forgot my order twice but they were nice in general. The food however was disappointing. My bacon had quite a bit of hair left on it, I also found hair inside my eggs, which tasted more like a split custard tart than scrambled eggs. My friend had the zucchini fritters which were soggy, and tasteless. Considering the price for a simple eggs and bacon I would recommend trying somewhere else! read more

This in my opinion is the best cafe in town. The coffee is consistently good. The meals are a large and tasty. There is a children's play area (and yes they do baby-chinos). In addition to this they have good high chairs that are clean and have working clips. So it is and ideal place to go for anyone with young children. read more

This place is a must visit in Ulverstone. There are many good cafés in Ulverstone but 33 cups is currently the best. The sweet dishes are in a class of their own and the main meals aren't to far behind. read more

Caught up with friends while passing through Ulverstone for a coffee only but choc chip biscuits looked great. Coffee excellent & ambience fine in a little arcade. read more
