Have you ever heard a child express that they hope you hit every red light on their way to picking them up from school so that they can stay at school longer that day? If any of this fits you then PCC is the place for you. We started out back in 2009 sending our first of 3 boys there. He loved it. Still reminisces about things like Stone Soup. A couple years later our 2nd went there as well. Fast forward a decade later we enrolled our 4yo there for Pre-K. He loves the whole experience. He often tells us about how much he loves his teachers and friends. It's also great knowing one of the teachers was there for both of our older sons, providing a sense of continuity over the years. As a parent we've been also happy when things aren't going to plan. When there were moments of separation anxiety (it happens) they speak directly to the child offering encouragement and working with both us and our child. It's easy to become comfortable when you know things go well in the good moments but seeing how well they handle the not-so-good moments brings comfort when we're leaving our young children with them for hours each day. On a closing note it's worth mentioning that everything in the first paragraph is 100% true.

There are no cameras and the staff was not able to tell us how he was injured each time admitting their eyes were not on the child (probably on their phones instead). As a preschool director myself, with children's safety being my top priority I would strongly advise keeping your child away from here if you want to avoid costly medical bills and trauma. I know lots of people have had great experiences with this school but I am hoping this post about our experience saves at least one family from having to go through the hell we have been through seeing our child sustain multiple injuries and being in excruciating pain since attending this school.

The chapel is tucked away in the original building and they have since built 2 separate campuses for the lower, middle and high school kids. If you are looking for a Catholic High School with excellent academics then you should Sacred Heart compares favorably to Mountain View's St Francis, San Mateo's Serra (all boy), Burlingame's Notre Dame and Mercy (both all girl) high schools. All the teachers at Thumbelina are so sweet and Kind; you can tell they really adore the children and the children really adore them. Even though the eldest has left, he still insists on sending his baby sister to school and picking her up just so he can say hello to all his teachers. Every day, the kids do age appropriate arts and crafts, as well as worksheets that help them learn to write their names, learn their letters and numbers, learn math concepts, and color for hand-eye coordination. They provide lunch every day, including introducing different vegetables, to help the kids learn to eat a broader variety of food. When my son graduated this year (he's going to kindergarten!) they had this adorable ceremony where all the big kids practice and practice and perform some songs during the ceremony. The kids all had so much fun. And they went home with a beautiful graduation photo in a frame, a giant poster that teacher Brenda made for them of their memories at Thumbelina, a workbook teacher Myrna made for them containing worksheets that showcase what they've learned up to that point. We just wrapped up our first school year at WPNS and are heart-warmed (and relieved) we found this…read morejoyful, caring, creative community of teachers, parents/new friends and children. WPNS is intentionally small. The teachers know each child and meet them where they are, incorporating their interests into the classroom, assuaging their fears and celebrating their achievements. WPNS is the first place our child learned to trust (and love!) an adult outside the home and family, and we feel lucky it was in such a safe and nurturing environment. After day one, our child came home singing new nursery school songs and asking to go back. Classrooms are clean, age-appropriate and set up to enhance discovery and play. The teachers guide toddlers with warmth, but don't miss a thing. Their patience, expertise and energy is astounding. The new campus, among the redwoods, is calming. The snacks are healthy and filling. (These elements may seem small, but our experience at a different, renowned preschool doesn't compare.) We have complete faith that the director and staff make decisions that are best for the children and their development. They do not compromise curriculum to drive enrollment or appease trends. Though we were unsure what to expect, we came to champion the welcoming nature of the co-op model and the opportunity to play an active role in our child's school while learning parenting tips along the way. The time commitment has been accommodating, reasonable and fun. WPNS gets the highest recommendation!

Loving - Meghan is like a second mom to our daughter and has four children of her own. She is so loving with the children but also the ideal balance of firm and gentle, sets good boundaries, is respectful of the children and provides a really positive and healthy environment for the kids to grow and feel safe. I try to implement her parenting style with my own kids! Reading and writing - Due to the pandemic and developmental delays, our daughter needed extra help in reading and handwriting, and Meghan proactively started working with our daughter every afternoon in these areas. Her progress has been phenomenal and Meghan has been absolutely instrumental in getting her ready for kindergarten.  Potty training - Our daughter's preschool required potty training for enrollment and 2 weeks before school started, we dove head first into potty training with Meghan supporting every step of the way.  She even had 2 other students start potty training along with our daughter for extra encouragement and it was an amazing success! Imagine potty training 3 kids at the same time, she really is a super woman! Food - Our daughter is a selective eater and has special needs, and Meghan's extensive experience teaching children with special needs and working with kids failing to thrive was instrumental in expanding our daughter's appetite and willingness to try new foods. Meghan also serves super healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks everyday containing complex carbohydrates and protein, such as salads with veggies grown from their garden(!), roasted sweet potatoes, tofu, chickpeas, fresh popped popcorn (the house smells deliciously of popcorn every afternoon at pickup), and oatmeal with different nut and fruit toppings. I feel great about the foods my daughter is eating and not having to pack lunch is an amazing gift! Fun activities - Everyday we get videos and photos of the kids from STEMsprouts and they are always doing a fun variety of activities, including growing and harvesting vegetables from the garden, raising caterpillars and learning about their life cycle to become butterflies, helping to make homemade fruit leather, doing jigsaw puzzles, building colossal Magnatile structures, Mandarin language learning activities and more! I often watch the videos and wish I was there joining the fun too! Community - Meghan has created a tight knit community of families who regularly chat together at pick up/drop off rather than run off to get dinner on the table and has become a dear friend to us. Everyday she asks how I'm doing and genuinely cares and wants to know about what's going on in our lives. She regularly hosts birthday parties for the kids and summer gatherings for the families. Having a strong community is one of our values and you will definitely find it at STEMsprouts!

The admin staff, especially Ms. Lopez, is amazing and really cares about the students. Ms. Lopez is "on the ground" enough that she knows the kids names and they all say hi to her when they see her. The preschool teachers, Ms. Gwen, Ms. Margaret and Ms. Kim, are phenomenal. They approach any issues with kindness and sensitivity. They are also firm with the kids and set good boundaries and routines. Finding that balance is typically difficult, but they do it with finesse! The curriculum here, even with the preschool class, sets the kids up for success in higher grades. It balances play and fun with learning. From letter recognition to name writing to "STEM" - via tiny science experiments - music and Spanish, outdoor play and story time, they do it all. Since day one, my child has been excited to go each day and has thrived in the Harper environment. The learning progress I've seen, especially at such a young age, is astounding. We love Harper and appreciate all the staff very much! We hope to be a Harper family for a very long time to come!

Our son joined the Kindergarten program halfway through the year in Jan '25. He had been at a well-regarded RWC public school, but unfortunately he struggled there with behavior, academic, and motivation issues. Basically, he was slipping through the cracks. He was regressing academically, and most worryingly to me, he was starting to hate going to school. He started at Harper at the mid-year break. There was certainly an adjustment period - the Harper kids were *so* far ahead academically. But, the curriculum is individualized and the support was tremendous. It was amazing how quickly he improved on all fronts: behavior, academics, and motivation. He literally sprints from the car to class each morning. He is so excited and talks about what he learns constantly. He has developed a positive attitude, curiosity, and emotional maturity beyond anything we could have hoped for. Ms. Shaynee, his teacher, is an absolute rock star. We feel so lucky to have had her as his teacher. The class size for elementary grades at Harper is absurdly small right now. Like, 5-10 kids. At first, I thought it would be weird. But it's actually a wonderful number for this age, and it makes Harper such an incredible deal. It's obviously a new school and a new program, and I'm hoping it grows with him as he progresses through the grades. Overall, if you are looking for a private elementary, I just can't recommend Harper enough. No private school in this area is cheap, but I feel we get incredible value for our dollar. The fact that the aftercare is so affordable helps. Also, we hear that if you have multiple kids there then the cost goes down a lot.

After a difficult experience at a previous daycare, our daughter had developed fear toward a teacher, and we made the decision to remove her. We had nearly given up on finding childcare until we discovered L'Academy by chance. From the moment we met Berni, the director, we felt welcomed and supported. She was kind, professional, and understanding of our daughter's past experience. Since starting at L'Academy, our daughter has completely flourished. Now 4 years old, she loves her teachers, her friends, and looks forward to going every day. She arrives and leaves happy, and she hasn't shown fear or anxiety since joining the center. The staff has been incredibly supportive with her potty training and patient as we work through a mild language delay. I truly appreciate how they keep us informed and involved. The daily app updates let us see her meals and activities in real time, which gives us extra peace of mind. Most importantly, we go to work each day knowing our daughter is safe, cared for, and happy. We are so grateful to Berni and the entire L'Academy team. Thank you so much!

She has always been available to me for any situations that arise regarding my kids. The app the school uses makes getting updates seamless and relieves any worries you may have regarding your child's development day to day etc. The amazing care and love all the teachers provide is heart warming as these women are raising your little ones every day. I love that when the kids graduate we can continue our friendships and connections as a good percentage will go on to Mandarin Immersion at Orion.
