At one end of the store is a bakery selling fresh donuts, pies and fry cakes. At the other end is a deli, making fresh sandwiches to order. The sandwiches are amazing. I had a turkey and ham sandwich on rye. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese and fresh toppings. This was the best sandwich that I have had in a long time and it was $3.99. There is no place to eat inside, so you must take your food to go. The staff were friendly and efficient. The cheeses are amazing and flavorful. I picked up horseradish and bacon cheeses. The prices are reasonable. You can even buy chicken coups and outbuildings. There was an extensive collection of bird food and custom feeders. There is plenty of mid week parking, but probably crowded on weekends. Bring a cooler. This shop is fabulous.

I have been to the Kroger Deli/Bakery several times these…read morepast few days, and have had a confounding experience, on three separate occasions with your elderly management in this department. The first, was with an older lady, whom represented herself as the manager (explained she was new to the job; however, exclaimed she'd been there over 20 years), when I asked for help in the deli department, she conveyed, she wouldn't...not couldn't, but Wouldn't walk over to assist me, because, "she doesn't like that department." I was baffled. My husband at that point, escorted me away from her to another section of the store, and when I returned, I this time asked for the assistant manager (thinking I could discuss the manager's disrespectful attitude, and dismissive attitude to my needs). Once again, I was greeted by an elderly lady, and she too said she was new to her job; however, she has been there off and on for a while, but was returning not too long ago from an injury. The reason she explained this was, because I had asked her to assist me in a cake that she COULD not place in my cart, because she was not allowed to pick-up cakes. This is not a joke. This is what I was told by the second management. I gave-up, didn't buy my cake, nor my deli-goods. My family said, they couldn't believe the cavalier attitude, and disdain treatment. Call me a stickler, but I went BACK in to the deli/bakery, and asked once again the manager to explain her behaviour towards me, and to try to resolve the matter. In lieu of an apology, I received a supercilious look, and she acted like our encounter had never happened. I am astonished. My daughter this time with with me, and my husband, and she too was behooved. She knew a younger lady there, and asked her to help us with our order, and the young lady was pleasant, professional, and accommodating. My daughter said to let you know, this young lady has been there for 2 years she thought, and was always kind. Perhaps, a change in management should be considered, and the younger, more eager young lady needs to at least get recognition from your corporate department for her kind efforts; whereas the elderly ladies, I would suspect receive training in the department for their lack of knowledge, mannerism, and demeanor. Moreover, I do not care to be contacted by a corporate representative; however, I DO expect a change in this department. I have another six months living-up here, and unfortunately, this store is the only one in our neighborhood. I remain. (I wrote this to the Store, and hope they do something about this matter).
