I found out about live paintings and thought that would make a neat gift for my sister and future brother-in-law while also being a way to include Mom (and other deceased family members) when she obviously would not be in any photos from the wedding. It went perfectly! Ruth was truly a pleasure to work with from the first contact through the final painting delivery. I chose the purchase option that allowed for the couple's immediate family to be included while also showing the bridal party in the background and was even able to get the couple's dogs added in! I provided photo references for the deceased family members, and Ruth captured them (and everyone else) wonderfully! She is so talented in combining multiple moments/photos into a breathtaking final product. Additionally, the act of the live painting itself was such a unique addition to the wedding; many of the guests took time to watch her work and were very impressed with her skill and warm personality. Even after the wedding, Ruth kept in regular contact with me as she added the finishing touches to the artwork. When it was finished (perfectly on time with the schedule she had estimated), the piece was mailed to my sister and her husband and arrived in perfect condition. Once he finished my painting, he told me he would be making a trip to deliver the painting but ended up not delivering it because his plans changed. So I asked him to pay for shipping since I had to wait so long.... My god, this man was so unpleasant. So I asked him to pay me back or pay for shipping. He was so hostile and unprofessional. Just because you're talented, doesn't mean you get to be a dick. I Venmo requested him and tried to make it public. Now this man blocked me. Truly a mother fucker. Beautiful art, but not worth dealing with such a difficult human. So what your brother died, my dad is dead. People die, no excuse to be mean to the living. What goes around, comes back around. Always, bitch.
