Recently i've been finally able to eat there and although acceptable it wasn't really that stunning. The price is slightly higher than normal - at around £10 per main course. I ordered mushrooms to start which were very well done, and then for my main course i had vegetarian lasagne with a side order of chips. The lasagne was microwaved with some fresh cheese melted on top to hide the crunchy bits, and the ingredients really didn't justify cost of the item. The chips were not that crisp, and were a little soggy and stuck together. The service was friendly enough, and when asked about the meal when i paid i did say that the lasagne wasn't stunning and the person did look a little guilty. I wouldn't not go there again, but i'd certainly investigate some of the other offerings ironbridge has to make.

Her steak was excellent: cooked perfectly with a delicious black pepper sauce. The burger I had was one of the best I've ever had. I would have never thought of putting black pudding in a burger, but it really does work! I've never stayed the night here, so I can't speak to that, but everything about lunch was wonderful!

Not simply being directly on the canal, just along from the Mailbox and Broad Street this cafe-come-bar is just the most adorable thing. Quirky to the point of completely impractical. There is plenty of seating crammed inside this long but thin bar. Being a Saturday bankholiday afternoon it was indeed busy, but the Mrs and I squeezed in at lunchtime and didn't leave until our train was due early evening. There's simply so much choice for such a small venue. An array of Ales, Spirits and Ciders beyond your normal bar fodder I was thoroughly impressed. As the Mrs dosnt drink - and has the most amazing sweet tooth she had a coffee and cake deal. Lovely fresh coffee and homemade coffee cake at a steal of £3. I stuck to the organic cider which washed down the dreary, cold and rainy canal side view outside the window. The several real fires around the place, multiplying its cuteness. The two girls behind the bar were fast an efficient and dealt with the surprisingly large crowds at the bar with good humor. After a few ciders and refusing to move from our cosy spot we take advantage of the great vegetarian choices and get the lasagna. The portion sizes are small, but the price does correspond with it. It's great for filling that hole that cider had created. It was also lovely with a bit of salad and chips on the side. I'd only wished we'd came here for breakfast because it's the only place I've ever seen faken on the menu!!!! (faken = fake bacon).
