Absolutely shocked and disgusted at the level of disrespect this company exudes. Here's my story...
I have a little brother who has been in communications with this company for about 1.5 years. He requested a formal bill for the total amount agreed upon verbally between himself and the company before making his payment and resolving his issues. The total amount agreed upon was $1,000. To his recollection, he never received a letter stating that. Instead they continued to send him a letter with a claim total of over $2,000. He called to asked why the amount had more than doubled and was told it hadn't(that makes no sense). So he, once more, requested a bill confirming all that he owed was $1,000 and the issue would be resolved. Any person in their right mind would want to have a paper trail of this type of transaction, so his request for such a document was fair and completely justified. For some reason this company kept telling him they would send it but continued to just send the same letter repeatedly. In my opinion, they showed a pattern of disrespect towards him and were also dishonest about the business they were in and straight up told him they aren't debt collectors when, in fact, the very letter they were sending him on repeat proclaimed very clearly that they are. Naturally, my brother became frustrated and tired of dealing with them and eventually became skeptical of their legitimacy. So I offered to help if he authorized me to speak on his behalf.
I called them today and spoke with a gentleman who is without a doubt the rudest, most incompetent person I have ever had the misfortune of coming across to this date. The phone call in total lasted 16 mins. Of the 16 minutes I spent about 5 mins either on hold or talking to the receptionist. So the actual conversation only lasted about 10-11 minutes. Keep in mind that during this time I asked for his version of the story and why he believes the debt has yet to be resolved. Then I thought I would have the opportunity to ask questions and tell him how we see things from our point of view -- basically how any conversation would operate between two reasonable, intelligent adults. I do not believe that is what transpired in the short amount of time we spent on the phone. The gentleman I spoke with didn't seem informed about the case I was calling about so he was reading the notes aloud. I believe I recall him saying "The letter was not sent out as per his request." To me that means even though my brother voiced, on multiple occasions, that he wanted a written document with the agreed upon price sent to him..."The letter was not sent out..." When I questioned his notes the man, very rudely, told me he was not going to argue about what the notes said. I tried to tell him that maybe the notes are wrong and he brushed me off. After telling his side and reading all his notes aloud I was not able to tell my side of the story without being shouted at and interrupted. At one point I had to request that he actually listen rather than interrupt me. Then he shouted that he was listening. I tried to explain that my brother never received the letter he claimed to have sent, after just reading notes that seemed to say they didn't send it out. He literally screamed "That's not my problem!" Then he screamed something along the lines of(I don't remember his exact verbiage) "I'm not talking about this with you anymore and now I want you to pay the full amount. How do you plan to settle it?" I thought that was insane! Because I called and questioned the legitimacy of the company and their claim you're going to threaten and attempt to bully me into paying twice what the insurance company that hired you is willing to settle for? That sounds like a scam to me. Most unprofessional company I have dealt with. It is my belief that I was verbally abused by this man. Screaming, bullying and threatening is no way to conduct business let alone speak to another human being. This company seems incredibly dishonest, in my opinion. I would recommend staying far, far away from them. All the views and opinions expressed in this post are based on my personal interpretation of what transpired on this brief phone call. I could be misremembering things but I don't believe that I am, because the phone call took place just a few hours ago. read more
