I loved living at Cedarville Highlands. I would still have been wanting to live there if it weren't…read morefor my health. I had to move back in with my mom due to health with my developmental delays. The building that I was in always seemed clean. The caretaker who cleaned stayed on top of the cleaning. The maintenance workers came quickly if something needed fixing like appliances. I am proud to say that the safety features were always being updated and fixed especially after a fire in the building. I have never seen maintenance workers working so hard on trying to have Cedarvale Highlands a safe and good place to rent. I loved how much space there was in a one bedroom and I totally loved the arch ways in the hall and kitchen. When ever something happened the manager Holly was quick to help like the storage locker break ins right next to my unit and how she got a new lock for my storage locker. Cedarvalle Highlands was my very 1st apartment renting by myself. The neighbor down below me told my mom when she was helping me move out that I was very quiet. I loved living there. I had the peace and quiet living there unlike some other apartments. Only if I could go back. The one thing that changed since living there is that they don't take section 8 and that hurts a person who is vulnerable and needing help with housing.

We lived here for about 6 months before moving due to a job relocation…read more Pros: Maintenance and office staff are quick to respond to issues. They were great to deal with. Very quiet We felt pretty safe in general. $25 garage parking is a steal. The hotels across the street were very convenient for visiting family members. My husband enjoyed the gym and the pool is pretty nice. The close proximity to Hy Vee and Fairview Eagan was awesome. The close-by Eagan Community Park is wonderful. Cons Apartment amenities were not great. Our kitchen had drawers that were falling out and there was a decent amount of peeling paint and water damage/mold around the windows. One bathroom sink had tons of hair in the drain that caused it to not work well until we pulled the hair out. None of these were bad enough to complain about to management, but it was disappointing. It was clear that not much had been done to the apartment when we moved in besides light cleaning and maybe new carpet. If you enjoy walking outside, I probably wouldn't recommend this complex. There aren't many sidewalks and the one that there is can only be accessed from the parking lot. We have a baby and we didn't feel very safe walking around a busy parking lot with her just to reach the sidewalk. It also took us 1 month to receive our deposit refund check and I had to email them to ask where it was after the state limit of 21 days had passed. It was annoying. If the management company redid the units, then it would be a solid 4 stars, taking off a bit for the weird lack of sidewalks. We felt the rent was about $200 too high for this place (we had a 2 bedroom) considering its age.

I lived at these apartments for about a year and a half and had only one noise complaint. And it…read morereally wasn't a noise complaint was just a cop happened to be walking by and told me to turn the music down. You can get away with parties here if you are looking for that, but I also think there was a few vacancies around me. I signed a lease and was like 650/mo for 6mo then 750 after that. I lived here in 2002-2004 so I'm sure the rates have changed since then. Maintenance was good and I had very few problems overall. You will get parties once in a while but I think I was partying more than they were and still surprised no violations. The walls are not paper thin, but you can hear music if its really loud. SO you will not hear people talking through the walls unless there is like 30 people or something. my parties were always 5-10 but had turntables and speakers with bass playing. The bay windows are nice and keep the air moving throughout the spacious apartments. The bedroom was big and they are different per floorplan. The bathroom and kitchen were clean upon arrival and had no complaints. Just a note I do not promote partying in apartments, I'm pretty sure it was luck and cool neighbors. This is a clean community and nice for single moms and stuff.

After touring over 10 apartments, I made my mind immediately right after walking into the unit that Megan presented to me. I was very happy to see a more efficient and reasonable arranged space comparing to other apartments I have visited. The living room, bedroom and walk-in closet are a lot larger, not mention the lovely balcony, indoor swimming pool, saner, cinema room and lots of nice public space for all the residents. Finding an apartment that can meet one's expectations won't be easy! Durham Apartment has almost everything that I am looking for. I really appreciated the great help and wonderful service that Megan provided to me. It was such a pleasure working with her and her team. I am so looking forward to starting a new life at Durham Apartment in Edina, MN.

The management company will rip you off one way or another. Great location and several different apartments nearby to explore. Stay away.

Driving up to or past this place might make you think "hey this looks like a decent place to live…read morein in a decent area" Maybe it was at one point. But unfortunately I moved in due to the attractive price of rent for a 2 bedroom. Let me just make a list. - On our move in date. We showed up and absolutely no one seemed to know we were moving in. - on top of that. The unit we moved into was not cleaned at all. The smell is what I would describe as dead cat. (Come to find out management does not pay the cleaning people so they stopped cleaning) - Doing a further look into the new "Manager" of this place. You'll come to find that the individual has a record, and is not allowed to see their kids. Nice right !? - I've had 4 occasions now where I had to pick up someone else's trash which they will leave 25 feet away from a dumpster. - None of our appliances have been maintained. Our AC has a crusted black filter. Our dish washer doesn't drain properly and smells of rotten eggs. And the communal washer and dryer, again, also smells like poop. Our fireplace has most likely not been cleaned in years. - the pot holes from winter have yet to be fixed. Someone in one of the apartments has been filling them with sand/ rock. Poor guy should not have to do that. This has been an issue since December and it is now June. - We were assigned a garage. To one day find someone else parked there because management couldn't seem to remember what keys went to the right person..... - You can put in maintenance request, but good luck actually getting a guy to your place any time within the request. Once someone does get to you, they all seem like They hate their lives. But maybe I can't blame them considering who they have to work for. This list could go on but if I haven't convinced you to not to move into this place by now then I pray that your circumstance will allow you to be in a better place someday. The reason I have this 2 stars instead of 1 is because I believe this place has potential to be amazing ! It's in such a great location and the buildings aren't even in horrible shape. Just some attention from better people will get this place going. Thank you.

I rented a unit in Parkside from October 27, 2022 to October 31, 2023. The dates on my lease are…read moredifferent as we agreed to an earlier move out date and the lease was sign after I moved in. My initial move in date was shoved back because the unit was not ready in time. The paint on multiple overhangs were cracked upon move in and move out. There was no garbage can/dumpster provided in the garage as there should have been. I asked throughout the year for one but never received one from them to my knowledge. Management verbally claimed they charged my account and delivered one but I do not see the charge for a new can, only the monthly trash fee. The blinds were broken upon move in 10/27/22 but were fixed 4/4/23. My access to the unit was accidentally temporarily taken away from 8/11/23 to 8/14/23. The locks are kwik set locks meaning they have a concealed lock for management and a shown lock for tenants. This was not mentioned verbally or in my lease so when maintenance accidentally left it on their lock after checking the AC on August 11 I was effectively locked out to my knowledge. I was met with a locked door during office hours the next day and called the police. I did not gain access until 8/14/23 as my emergency maintenance work order was responded to first. Management called it a self lock out while maintenance apologized. If I actually had locked myself out I would've called a lock smith as I did July 28, 2023 when both keys were locked inside the unit and they did not respond to my call. I reported the AC to not be functioning properly June 23, 2023. The work order was marked completed July 18 with no inspection performed. The unit rose to 80° when set to 60° with literal puddles on August 23, 2023. The AC was repaired by a vendor August 28, 2023. I discovered a mold like substance on my ceiling and reported it immediately. I found more in the days that followed to the right of the dryer. Mold grows in areas with moisture so this area was perfect as there was a leaking pipe. I mentioned the pipe was either creating too much condensation or leaking in March during their annual inspection verbally and they said they'd fix it asap after inspecting the area themselves. Fast forward to August, I noticed the mold like substance surrounding the pipe and examined it further. The pipe had deep corrosion from a leak that'd been there a long time. The pipe was fixed September 15, 2023. I first noticed the mold like substance on September 2, 2023. It spread from the laundry area to the bathroom and kitchen as it was not remediated. I have a theory that they applied SPEEDHIDE PRO EV ZERO during their previous repair attempts instead of a biocide. I urged the city to make them hire someone after telling the city the results of a visitors examination. This visitor discovered the dishwasher may be leaking on top of everything. Management and I came to an agreement to change when maintenance could enter due to prior issues. They later disobeyed the new entry agreement. The city conducted a multi building multi unit inspection after viewing my unit twice, I do not believe it's coincidental. The city of Eagan believes in willful compliance so penalties have not been issued and deadlines are no longer being set to my knowledge. They currently expect full payment for August, September and October of 2023- do you think that's fair? Personally, I will never rent a unit from Parkside again as they did not make all repairs in a timely fashion and I do not trust them to respond in an emergency situation.
