His talent is that special blend of science and art that not only makes a listing highly marketable, but also captures the essence of the property. Recently, I hired Steve to photograph an impromptu wedding of a dear friend that was being held at my house. Keenly aware that my experience as a professional home stager in no way qualifies me to act as a wedding planner, I was very worried that the event would fall short of the bride's expectations. In addition, I was concerned that my modest house would not provide an adequate backdrop for Steve to capture the special moments of the day. I have always been a huge fan of Steve's work, but now my appreciation of his expertise and artistic talents is even greater! Upon arriving, he performed his usual "walk-through" to determine the positive attributes and challenges of the venue. Very quickly he established a strategy for shooting the wedding (no rehearsal...totally "off-the-cuff"), and within the first hour was in his "artistic groove" as I like to call it! The resulting wedding photos are nothing less than magical; it looks as if the wedding took place at a five star hotel! They were able to get the kids to smile if we couldn't, or to sit if we couldn't, all while setting up great shots. We reached out to Molly and David via email and first met David in his studio in Frederick. The space is so super cool that I wanted it to be apart of my house. It was this cool industrial space that makes you say "whoa this place rocks!" David completed a custom quote for us since we didn't need a full day photographer and we found it very fair. Payment was easy over their website and Molly was great at communicating with us about timeframes for everything. We scheduled David far in advance. After we secured our date, we received a coffee mug and a small bag of coffee in the mail to say thank you. I loved the personal touch. It made my day. Then at Christmas time we received a tree ornament with both our names and est. year. Again, super cute awesome thoughtful idea. Tha day of the event, Molly and David were at the location well before the scheduled time and stayed well after when they should have. My guests loved them both and their photo booth that they brought with them. I would work with them again in a heartbeat. As a matter of fact, I have a professional event coming up and are using Spence again! After not hearing back called and got the run around of I'm too busy I work for Warner Media and only do this on the weekend...so my in business if you don't take priority? He continued to tell me it was my job to schedule the clients when we agreed he would schedule since he knew his traveling schedule. Now my client has to be contacted by another professional firm....the kicker is would have gladly paid extra 200 or 250 but after being called dude, and "don't have time" "this shit" who wants to work with that arrogance.
