He was immediately answering our calls/texts & showing up in person to check progress. David even delivered doors, lights & extras. I cannot praise David & the Mighty Dog team enough for the quality & care of the the craftsmanship done on our home. David made sure to take care of every detail I requested down to small details like new house numbers, kick plates & slide locks on new doors. Of course the team handled special requests like tempered glass security storm doors, new entry doors, new handles & locks. Our 38 year old windows were replaced with modern windows. The craftsman did an excellent drywall job preparing for the crew to put up new trim around inside windows. Turned out great. Old water & termite damage was uncovered when removing original wood siding from 1989. The crew repaired, insulated & wrapped my home & hung new siding. All house trim & facia was replaced on porch. Crew removed damaged railings /columns & rebuilt brand new porch railings, columns. The crews were courteous, professional & extremely hardworking. I was very impressed & happy with the skills & level of workmanship of the crews, the lead, the project managers & (especially David, who happens to be everything rolled into one!) David kept this project rolling on track. He is a great human being to work with & a great new friend to have made. I would not trust these people now to do anything to my house. They respond that they were not a day late but they were. They respond that it takes 24 to 48 hours to get an estimate to the client. The representative said by the end of the day or at the latest, first thing in the morning. Its been nearly 72 hours now yet no estimate. If they would have just owned up to mistakes and said they would do better, I would forgive an never write a poor review. Their obstinance tells me they are too arrogant for that. I don't care how cheap the estimates is, I would not trust the work they would do on my house.

In need of (shingled) roof replacement on our 1978 home that we bought just 9 years ago (getting…read moretoo difficult to convince the home-insurance agents that it's less than 15 years old - absent documentation). We'd had several outfits here for inspections and estimates, most of them wanted us to submit "hail-damage" insurance claims, and then they tried to tell us, "Oh no, that won't raise your premiums at all!" We called BS on each one of them. The "WAG'd" verbal-ONLY estimates that we got were all over the map. Enter HomeSafe, and John May. Phone call "about 15 min. out." Firm handshake, and some get-to-know-you conversation about history on the property and roof. Well prepared to discuss several grades and price-points of shingles, drip-edge, flashing repairs, brick-to-roof transitions, ridge-vent, decking repair, snow-and-ice treatment in the valleys, vent coping, clean-up, et.al. Probably a good 15-20 minutes on the roof, and further discussion about what he observed and documented. Our position: "done right, and with the best materials." Then the BIG question..."how much up-front?" We were surprised. John: "Nothing. We get paid when you're happy with the job." A few days later we had a WRITTEN contract in-hand, and for a VERY reasonable amount (double-digit thousands less than one very prominent local outfit). We went on the schedule for 3-4 weeks out. Dump trailer arrived day prior - parked on concrete - all debris to go directly from the roof to the trailer. Crew showed early AM for two days. Brought tarps to collect stray materials that fell from roof. Clean-up afterwards was pretty good, considering bushes / flowers / pool to work around. Had a couple change-orders (adds) that were easily accommodated. After they were done, I did my own hard look at the work - found a few nit-noids - let John know. Together, we hit the few points on the roof, confirmed the needed tweaks, and folks were back the next day to make the fixes. Money changed hands the next day, and John even brought the wife a new "hummingbird swing" that had inadvertently "disappeared" in the cleanup! We've been in the area almost 9 years, and eight times have had to contract for work that we couldn't do ourselves. HomeSafe is only the second time that: we've felt we'd not been taken advantage of; we've not had to "fight" to get the job done correctly; we've not been displeased with the final result; we'd not had to pay at least 50% up-front. John's card in on our refrigerator - permanently - for other services we might need. Y'all can't go wrong with these guys!

Surprise, surprise - he rearranged the schedule and came today, Friday with his crew. Outstanding service! Will have to wait to find out the quality of workmanship after the next heavy rain, but from the looks of it, we should have no trouble.
