I was calling from out of state and requesting a delivery for tomorrow or Sunday asking if that's too short of notice and she very happily said "no! Not at all!" I explained the celebration and the setting in which it was to take place and she was genuinely happy for my brother and his wife's retirement! She asked price range and she said she had the perfect vase in mind, sent me a photo from her personal cell and offered various suggestions of flowers that would be perfect for the setting of the party. Tammy went above and beyond and was enthusiastic in her delivery and suggestions. She also offered to send me a pic of the finished arrangement! I have no doubt it will be fabulous! Received gorgeous arrangement of designer choice flowers on Mothers Day. Unfortunately, some flowers did not survive 24 hrs. Phoned to say some had died quickly. You get what you pay for. I thought they were pretty pricey, but when I saw all the BEAUTIFUL flower arrangements they did for my son's wedding, I was thrilled!!!! When the flowers arrived, the bride did not like one of the main flowers in the arrangements, so they actually drove back to their shop and brought in other flowers to replace the ones they took out. When I order anniversary flowers on Friday to be delivered on Monday I'd expect them to be delivered earlier in the day. This is the most embarrassing service I've received in a long time. After calling and telling me it's in a truck already being delivered, 1:30 later still not delivered. My longtime florist went out of business during Covid, so for Valentine's Day I used Thompson's Westwood Florist for a dozen roses. Over $80 delivered locally was expensive but I chalked it up to Valentine's Gouging. Our wedding flowers were Peppermint Carnations so I called Thompson's asked asked if I could get a nice bouquet of them for our anniversary. They said they would try, but if they couldn't get them would red and white be OK. I agreed, but when they told me it would be $55 plus tax and delivery, I was surprised. I even said, this must be a really nice bunch of carnations and the woman said it would be nice. It was not. 12 carnations and baby's breath in a vase for $55. Way too expensive and not substantial enough for me to want to even give them to my wife. Look at the picture! I would have gotten this for $20 at the old florist. But they wouldn't have given me such a sparse arrangement. I had to go to Giant hoping to get some more carnations to fill it in, they sell them for $9.99 a dozen including baby's breath, so I guess I got a $45 vase! They were out, so I had to get roses to match, a dozen for $15.99. I will not use this florist again as they are way too overpriced and the flowers I got for almost $60 with tax was a disappointment. I guess my florist went out of business not charging so much for carnations!! Too expensive! After ordering this expensive vase of flowers, I was in my garage with roses from Giant trying to fix up the arrangement to not look pitiful. I'll find another florist. read more

My daughter and her now husband came up COVID positive 4 days before their wedding. We had to change the location to our backyard and Tammy gave me ideas from pictures I sent her, extra greenery and dropped them all off at our house. Knowing nothing about flowers my daughter told them her colors and told them to use cheaper in season flowers and left it up to them. The arrangements were beautiful! Never again! Ordered $60 arrangement with $10 chocolates. Received call the next day, they had none of the flowers I ordered and no chocolates. Changed flowers added balloons. Order was sent in good time. When I saw the picture of the flowers, it looked like a walmart bouquet. Called and asked and was told it they did even more than the cost. My total order with flowers, two balloons and delivery (local) was over $80. So disappointing and no where near the cost. Going back to 1-800-flowers. Stay clear of this one! There was a delivery charge because it was being delivered to 22553 but that was a reasonable charge also. The day of the delivery I received an e-mail with an ACTUAL picture of what was being delivered. Now that is excellent customer service. Because of this picture I ordered Anniversary flowers and will be placing another Easter order. Not only is their customer service excellent their quality of work is as well. The anniversary flowers I ordered were arranged by Lisa. They looked even better than the picture on the internet. The arrangement I ordered this March lasted over 2 weeks.
