Kevin returned my call very promptly when I reached out. Since he was already working in town, he was able to swing by the same day. After explaining my issue, Kevin got to work diagnosing the problem. He found the culprit, a poorly wired outlet, within a matter of minutes. Kevin rewired the outlet correctly, installed a new outlet and ensured it was flush mounted; previously, it had not been. He stayed around for a bit and ensured all the other outlets worked and had the correct voltage. This repair gave us back the functionality of the majority of the outlets in our kitchen. My 35 year old Winco industrial portable generator stopped producing power. I contacted PFP as one…read moreof the closest (about 50 miles away) Winco service techs for assistance with replacing diodes (an incorrect diagnosis from another tech). Paul stated the problem was far more likely bad capacitors and that the diodes could very likely still be serviceable. He was 100% correct. He helped with the diagnosis and talked me through the repair process. While it took me a while online to find replacement capacitors as I could not find a local supply store in Worcester, once the capacitors arrived and were installed I was back in full operation. I called Paul to thank him for his excellent advice and his time to help me resolve my generator problem. Shortly there after, Paul called back with additional unsolicited support regarding adjusting the throttle setting for cleaner power (Hz). The fact that the call back was unsolicited tells me that Paul keeps his clients best interests in mind and strives to serve well. Paul's kind & clear conversation was a breath of fresh air. I needed an electrician so a tenant could move into an apartment we own, so there was a timing pressure and I was so stressed. It was a Hail Mary, but I made a flurry of calls, and Paul answered. Not only did he answer, but he gave me a realistic window when he'd be able to show up, kept in touch with me and was even able to show up earlier than projected, which was just so great. On this day we only needed to get the system safe to turn on for our new tenant, but the fact is, we know we need quite an overhaul, it's an very old house, and he was able and willing to not only get us up to safety, but had a good and realistic discussion about our future electrical needs. So it appeared we had an obvious electrical issue. I called Lonnie and he arrive within an hour. He checked the breaker box and stated that the issue was not with the breaker box. He checked the room where the TV and air conditioner were located and examined the 2 outlets that were not working. Lonnie then found that the outlet that caused the problem was in fact working, but was not sending current downline to the outlets not working. He fixed the problem by replacing the faulty outlet. Within a few hours from my call to Lonnie resolved the problem and charged a reasonable amount. By the way it was extremely hot and humid, but that did not stop him from resolving the issue. The job was a bit more difficult, due to 1952 wiring, and he still honored the quote he gave us. Person of his word. 8 foot ceilings are easy-peasy for this very tall electrician.
