Their claim to fame seems to be 1) Muhammed Ali used to eat there and 2) they wouldn't serve OJ Simpson and kicked him out. Nick was our incredibly friendly and knowledgeable server. I ordered a half dozen oysters, an iceberg blue salad and a Cowboy rare petite filet mignon steak. We also shared a large side of shishito peppers. The oysters were very fresh and spot on, served with horseradish, vinegar, fresh lemon and Tabasco. They weren't fully shucked, so I had to pry them from the shell. My salad never made it to the table. Nick was mortified and offered to make it right with dessert (which I politely declined). The steak was good and was cooked rare, the way I asked. The weird thing was that the rare steak tasted dry - maybe it was the rub, but a rare steak should not taste dry. Almost like it was cooked medium. I told Nick I liked the steak but it might have been the seasoning that made it taste dry. They comped the steak. Outstanding. They earned a star back. Nick knew how to make a customer feel welcomed, special, and appreciated. Definitely worth a visit, but bring a credit card with a high limit. Make sure you have reservations and get them well before your visit. Remember to tip well.

They serve half portions. The crab cake was wonderful. It's comprised of three types of crab with very little breading. The sauces really add to the experience. The sushi was very nice. You definitely get a lot. Entrees: The petite filet and New York strips steaks were great. They had a lot of flavor. Ask for a flight of sauces. We had truffle butter, bearnaise, and horse radish sauce. The bearnaise sauce was lacking. The coloring was nice, but the flavor was not there. Sides: Macaroni and cheese - just really good Mac n' cheese. Shishito peppers - skip. The skins are tough, they are too large, they are devoid of flavor. They need a dipping sauce, lime juice, and sea salt. The Brussels sprouts are ok. They almost tasted candied and had no tang to balance the flavor. Inconsistently cooked. Some were crunching and others cooked well. The mashed potatoes were phenomenal. Get them.
