I just moved to the area so I was looking for a new place to get my eyebrows done. I'm very particular about my eyebrows so I'm always hesitant to try new places. I decided to try threading by Aneta because there were so many great reviews. I'm so happy I decided to try because I found my new go to spot! I walked in and was in and out in about 10 minutes and I love how my brows look. Also the price for threading is sooo reasonable I was pleasantly surprised! The lady who did my brows, I didn't catch her name, did a great job. I was also greeted by the owner who seemed soo nice, I hope to have her thread my brows next time I come back! My go to spot is BEAUTY BY DOLLY in Hillcrest for my threading needs. On this particular day I was at the 24 HOUR FITNESS SUPER SPORT and needed my eyebrows "did." Of course I 'yelped' threading at this place came up among a few others. From the photos it looked chic, clean and the client's eyebrows on point. So hell for a couple more dollars I thought I would try it. I must say that the place was immaculate yet still inviting. There was an aroma of peppermint that was relaxing. There was only 2 salon chairs- but these two had the thru-put down to a science less then 10 mins each maybe? My lady was named with Sarah, hands smelled clean and she had a pretty good touch. They only thing I did not like was the fact she tried to shape my eyebrows to her vision instead of an easier complimentary matching set on my face. I have had my eyebrows shaped to easy even pair above my eyes. They pretty much were shaped to shower and comb - go. I only filled them in when I put make up. But my eyebrows look like I am questioning you with a resting b$&@h face. Overall, this is a great place. read more

Finally an actual walk in threading salon in San Diego! I can't tell you how many places I've walked in to to get an appointment in San Diego but get told that I need an appointment even though yelp clearly says 'walk in' Great place and super clean! As someone with incredibly uneven brows with sparse spots and gaps, I've struggled for years to be happy with my brows. Aneta is an absolute expert at what she does and completely changed my face by finding a shape that works best for me while making them as even as possible. I've never been happier with my brows than I am now thanks to Aneta. She's so kind and hard working, I highly recommend her to anyone. The parking can be tricky in the shopping center due to a popular restaurant but otherwise this is a great location. If you're unhappy with your brows you must see Aneta! read more

I usually come here and everyone does a really good with my eyebrows. But today was kind of busy & I couldn't even get seen. Today I came in at 5:26 - they close at 6 - and there were 3 people waiting before me. I wrote my name down and waited for 25 mins until 5:50 when she took the woman right ahead of me on the list. The woman told her that she needed her full face threaded so she told me it would be another 40 minutes of waiting. They close at 6 - but she said she would not be ready until 6:30. I asked her if I could come back before 6:30 and she said that she wouldn't take me, because she would be closed. But I was welcome to wait 40 minutes. I just had to leave this review because i don't recommend coming here if you are expecting good customer service, or any kind of service if you're coming after 5. read more

I'm so grateful that Threading By Aneta is open during this time! Furthermore, I'm glad I didn't regret trying a new place. They're decent at adhering to the health standards. It's best to call in in advance to schedule a time to avoid having to wait/be around excess people. It was a pretty meticulous experience getting my brows threaded. I liked how they turned out, but I had to point out a couple spots for the tech to go back in and fix. I also ended up with a bit of a cut that really stung when toner was applied. Overall still had a good experience here and would definitely come back if I need to get my brows done again during this time. read more

I use to get my eyebrows waxed and stopped because I found this place about 5 years ago. It's close to my house and I'm usually in and out 20 minutes tops if I have to wait. When Aneta is there she's super friendly always remembers her customers I love that. I don't go just to one person I trust Aneta to hire good people to do brows and I always get compliments on them so what's not to love. This place is nice and clean the atmosphere is calming the price is reasonable I would recommend this place for brows it's the best! read more

I don't like leaving these kinds of reviews but I was not happy with my service. I think the girl was new or just learning - she threaded me too slow and not at a normal pace it was extremely painful for me. On top of that, she missed quite a few hairs that I ended up plucking myself later on. If your employee is still learning, I think it's appropriate to make that clear prior to performing the service. read more

Threading by Aneta has become my go to spot for eyebrow threading in San Diego. The staff here are super friendly and always very welcoming. I've been to a couple other places before and after Aneta, but they've all been mediocre (and hurt a lot more!) I think I cried less cutting three onions than some of my experiences at other places. I also just wanted to bring up how cool the bathroom is too. It's fully stocked with everything you need and smells great, like you escaped to an island as you do your business haha On Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2-4 pm, if you use the Flok app, you get $2 off your threading, so try to come between those times to save some money! read more

Literally the only place to go and get threaded. Why can't Aneta literally be everywhere. If I ever move out of San Diego I'm literally going to drive/fly where ever I live from just so this woman can do my eyebrows. She just KNOWS what's gonna look good on your face, just trust her. Like I have never walked out from her salon after her doing my eyebrows disappointed. Everyone who works here will make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in, which is a nice feeling that helps build trust especially since you're literally trusting them with your face, aka the first thing people look at. This is one of the easiest and cheapest confidence boosters a woman can do for herself. Pay less than $20 to get your eyebrows done, and you will feel like you can conquer the world thanks to Aneta. I've been going to Aneta for years now and refuse to ever try someone else because of how good she does them. I was growing out my eyebrows and loved the shape I previously had. She thinned them out so much I want to cry. She was too distracted with her puppy running around that she didn't pay attention that I didn't want them thin just a clean up. I came all the way from national city specifically to Aneta's because I've had amazing experiences in the past. I couldn't even say anything in person I had to go to my car to freak out. Cute puppy but such a distraction. Probably won't be coming here anymore. read more

First time trying this place and thankfully Elle ( I believe that was her name) did an amazing job on my brows. The salon was clean and the workers were wearing masks. When I arrived there was a sign in sheet with a few customers ahead of me. The salon is located in busy plaza with a parking lot but parking is manageable. read more

I have been coming to Aneta since I was 17 for my brows. I'm 24 now and the quality has never worsened, only improved! All the staff does a fantastic job! Today I went for a lash lift for the first time with Aneta and after seeing the results I was shocked that I hadn't been coming to her all along for this. PLEASE READ! When you get your brows done the thread rips the hair out of the root getting all the hair yes but leaves very small abrasions(openings/cuts) in the skin just like shaving does. The vibe of the place is nice and I love them. But I have noticed that they use the same eyebrow spoolie brush on everyone when brushing their eyebrows...yes they have alot of spoolies but they dont switch them out after each person like supposed to spoolies are DISPOSABLE... AND MOST IMPORTANTLY the scissors they use to trim everyones brows at the end are just left on the counter and not soaking in the blue disinfectant called barbicide: "Barbicide is used to kill any bacteria, viruses, and fungi that could impact the clients health" it CLEANS tools like you would see at your nail salon, wax place, and barbers. Because of this I developed white small bumps all along my brows. So I love this place my main concern is some people have skin issues or don't wash their face as good as others, older women younger women even men and brushing people's brows with the same brush and unclean scissors is not good. read more

It was a little difficult to communicate with her as she may not have known English all too well, but I felt like I could trust her with my difficult brows. Aneta has been working in the beauty industry for many years. She learned the art of threading from a master threader in the Middle East over 14 years ago. After earning her degree in Business Administration, Aneta opened her own threading studio, Threading by Aneta, in 2014. Out of the nine appointments I have booked, four have been moved or rescheduled on the day of the appointment. One appointment was rescheduled twice, and another was rescheduled three separate times. The reasons given have included a flat tire, a migraine, and oversleeping. My most recent experience was especially disappointing. I intentionally booked the appointment less than 24 hours in advance, thinking that since the appointment had to be confirmed, there would be a better chance it would be honored as scheduled. Nikki confirmed the appointment at 4:00 PM the day before, but then contacted me the morning of the appointment asking to move it to a different time. Looking back, it seems that morning appointments were the ones most frequently canceled or rescheduled. While I understand that emergencies and unexpected situations can happen, the repeated pattern of same-day schedule changes over multiple years has made it difficult to rely on appointments and plan my own schedule. The quality of the eyebrow waxing service itself has been good, but professionalism also includes respecting clients' time and maintaining reliable scheduling. Unfortunately, the frequent last-minute changes have left me frustrated and unable to confidently book future appointments.

From the very start, it was a great experience, I was easily able to book online and learn more about the different treatments they offer. I decided to go with the Basic Needs 50min facial - "This customized treatment begins with a deep cleanse, followed by manual or enzymatic exfoliation to resurface the skin and then light extractions. Custom vitamin masks based on your skin needs. Finish with red LED therapy to boost elasticity, collagen production, and product absorption." My esthetician was Valerie and she was wonderful. It was such a relaxing and comfortable experience. She was even able to remove a stubborn blackhead I've had for a while. After the 50 minutes, my skin was visibly more hydrated and smoother. The establishment is clean and it's located inside a small shopping center so parking wasn't a struggle (and it's free). One of my goals for this new year is to take better care of my skin and I'm so happy to have found a place that will help me accomplish that. Will definitely be returning!

The space itself is simple but nice -- no frills, but clean and comfortable. My esthetician, Rada, was kind and explained the process well. The facial included the steps that were described in the service, so everything felt straightforward and professional. That said, I didn't find the overall experience to be especially relaxing or pampering. I had assumed a shoulder and arm massage might be included, but that is actually an add-on that I didn't realize needed to be booked separately. The gua sha/facial massage was the main reason I chose this facial, and for me the pressure felt a bit too light to be very effective. Others who prefer a gentler touch might enjoy it more. Overall, this feels like a good place if you're looking for a quick skincare refresh. While it wasn't quite the spa-like experience I expected, it was convenient and the service itself was delivered as described. Complete side note that doesn't affect my rating: consider playing different music that is more in line with a skin care spa/clinic. That may help the overall experience.

I went in for a classic pedicure and asked for her to file my nails and change the color, that's it! The technician was nice so I feel bad leaving this review, but the way she removed the gel from my toes was awful! She filed it down, put acetone and let it sit for a bit. Then she proceeded to peel off the old gel and tore the corner of my nail OFF. She then proceeded to say I had thin nails! I've been getting gel pedicures for a while now and NEVER has anyone tore a piece of my nail OFF! As a technician, even if my nail was thin she could of used a machine to remove the gel instead of tearing it off the way she did. I was so upset! She tried to tell me she would add a piece, which I declined so I just told her to cut what she could without leaving my nail too short. I will never return here. Maybe some folks like this method of removal but I did not and will not be returning for a pedicure. I will add the chairs were comfortable and I also got a gel manicure which he added so many layers too! There was one lady too that came by and was just talking to the technician who did my nails and the vibe just felt uncomfortable! I will never return!

I just called to book a mani and pedi separately and this is something I've done before and was met with attitude. I understand Fridays are busy but the tone was rude and dismissive. When I agreed to just a manicure the response was a sarcastic "thank you." First impressions are the reveal and this one said everything. If this is how repeat customers are treated over the phone it's clear long term business isn't a priority. They've lost a customer and I won't be recommending this place to anyone.

When my nail technician completed my manicure, she announced, "same!" as if she declared out-loud my powdered pearlescent nails are now magically transformed into the requested nude chrome color. I wish they would've told me upfront that this cannot be done. I would not request for anything out of the basic mani pedi here.
