Arrived melbourne thursday morning, checked into my apartment & jumped on yelped to see what was…read moregood for lunch and this place popped up. Even in Sydney there isn't many Kiwi fish & chip shops.. haven't had a bad one yet & this one had some really good reviews so had to hit this place up :)!! As soon as i walked in it was a friendly Asian guy working behind the counter who greeted me, I'm a guy who always has to study the menu so i walk out satisfied haha!! I was like is there a favourite & he was like the fish of the day is always popular :), that day was Spot Trevally which i haven't had in yonks, got a greek salad, Kamara chips (like sweet potato) & a L&P can :D!! If i can remember wright for the lot it was just under or just over $30 cause i got a packet of cheese Curlies &  cheese n bacon Rashuns :D. Waiting time was about 10 - 15 minutes, you become an expert at counting the waiting time when your hungry :)!! Without a doubt the Trevally was on point for taste same with the greek salad :), i left the Kamara chips & L&P last.. for every sip 1 chip :D!!.. the chips were definately the highlight cause i can't remember the last time i had them!! The chips and drink were a bit more expensive as per usual but when they dont sell them at normal supermarkets you buy them when you see them :)!! Whenever I'm back in Melbourne I'm definitely coming back for a feed even if it's just for the Chips :D.

Pretty good fish and chips!…read more This place is hidden under the Tribeca Apartments. It's nice and clean with a good range of options. The batter was nice and crispy, the fish was fresh and the chips were exactly right. The only complaint I have would be the scallops - they were tiny and didn't seem to be up to the same standard as everything else. They also sell a handful of NZ snacks and drinks.

Checked up the location and it was only 5 blocks away from where i was staying in Melbourne so it was a definite sign that i needed to go here :D!! Found out it's Shane Delia's invention, he's a perfectionist when it comes to food, have heard plenty great things about his Restaurant Maha & have some friends who have gotten a call from him asking how the service and food was :D. Went there on a friday night, was pleasant busy but that's Melbourne for you, never really crazy busy like Sydney which you get bored off now and then :D!! My cousin ordered the Juicy which was Beef kebab & a Brooklyn lager :),  i went for the Dirty South which was fried Chicken kebab & got the Brooklyn shake :D.. bourbon, cherry, white chocolate!! Both Kebabs had the perfect insides with the meat check out the menu for details & they were wrapped in fluffy pita bread it was LOVE at first bite and then heart break at last bite but my hunger was satisfied :D!! Brooklyn lager was definitely a different tasting beer and as for the Brooklyn shake i ordered another one ;D!! I could sit down for hours, eating & drinking :)... just being mellow with the Biggie vibes :D!! Can't wait to come back.. cousin stayed in Melbourne, so got to listen to him each week about what I'm missing out on lol!!
