This is such a cute establishment with a very sweet owner - Jim. They serve only the local Texas wines and beers. Jim knows a lot about these local vineyards and has carefully curated his selection. They don't have too many food options, but that's not why you go to three legged goat - you go there for good wine, up go with your girlfriends to hang, or on a date night. You go there to hear the story about the place and how it got its name from Jim and you go there to see le goats :) We had a great time and will definitely be looking to going back. read more

Just moved to the area from Central Austin, looking for a nice wine bar. I asked the manager/owner what he recommends as far as Rose'. His response, "all of the wine here is good cause it is all from Texas" like super cocky and the pour was so small. Ambience was not cute. read more

First I want to admit my mistake right from the jump, I thought I was going to a winery in this fine town. Once I arrived I understood this was just a bar, a bar that sells local wineries (wine) and local Texas beers. The manager or the owner was at the bar and explained that there isn't a winery in Pflugerville, Tx. With that in mind, I should have continued my service to round rock Texas for the winery experience. Nope I decided to stay and check out his bar. Any hoo so since we are here let's talk about wine and get a glass. I noticed a board with listing of wines and prices. I asked for a glass of Syrah I thought the glass was $10 but when I tabbed out it was $18 for a glass that was in my opinion barely filled. Listen I traveled to Napa Valley the wine country and I've never paid $18 for a glass of wine. Yeah a bottle but not a glass. My friends were not happy but we paid and he was nice enough to give me a military discount but my price was still $18! I digress I know people pay that price for glasses of wine but I don't and had I know the pour was less than desirable I would have gone on about my business. Either way lesson learned! My experience wasn't great but I wish this establishment the best. Maybe the locals know and experience something I didn't but again no hard feelings. My party of five will seek other options in the future. read more

Corner bar in the heart of a fun, small town. They have live music on weekends and open mic on Thursday. You never know if you'll get a chance to see the next Taylor Swift. The owners are very active in their community and seem to be very active with the bar, whether that's cleaning up outside or making sure everything is going well inside. There is a large list of beers and wines from the area that the staff are more than happy to go over with you. I ordered a glass of their Bent Oak Tempranillo and it did not disappoint. The inside has air conditioning, tables and chairs to sit and enjoy a drink on those hot summer days. They also have tables and seating outside as well. I'd def come back to try more of their wine list and listen to some great music next time I'm back in the area. read more

Was looking to grab a post work glass of wine with Sarah L on a Thursday and we were hoping for something in this general area. I turned to Yelp for a search for a recommendation and came across The Three Legged Goat (thank you fellow Yelpers, so paying it forward here!). This is a cute, welcoming spot in Pflugerville with a shared parking lot to other businesses in the center. It's tucked back in the corner and I am sure in cooler months, the outdoor space would be great to take advantage of. The indoor space is cozy and the owner was friendly in greeting us. He let us know it is a Texas only menu, so you'll support local by imbibing here. They had a strong list of wines and a few beers as well. On Wednesdays and Thursdays It's $3 off during happy hour - so the prices can't be beat. We each had a glass of Viognier that came recommended (after we did a small taster). Very cute place serving Texas wines and a discreet selection of TX craft beers and ciders. Bubbles were all by the bottle, but that's fine given how many other choices were available. The atmosphere is all Texas--a very quaint, upclass inside atmosphere but lights and music piped outside on a wooden deck--half-shaded by some real pretty trees and all surrounding the corner of a small-town building that exudes some relationship with history. The staff was ultra-friendly and even had dog treats and a water bowl for our dogs--true class. We'll be back. This is going to be a new go-to spot. This is my first time here, and when I walked in I was surprised to find a bookstore, The Book Burrow. It officially opens this weekend, and the expansion of the Three Legged Goat's space that came with it means that they are putting in a kitchen (right now El Rincon delivers). But back to the wine bar. They have a lovely selection of Texas wines, and any bottle they opened yesterday but wasn't finished is being offered at half price by the glass. We are lucky to have another wine bar hit the Pflugerville scene with the Three Legged Goat. Specializing in wine and beer from Texas, this place is intimate and charming...perfect for a date night, GNO or playing games with friends. We ventured in and had a lovely time chatting with two of the owners, Jim and Chelsea. Texas hospitality is alive and well with these two! One other perk is that you can buy the bottle of the featured Texas wineries without having to drive all the way out to the Fredricksburg area to get your fill. One more perk: they sell Nick's homegrown Kettle Corn another favorite coming out of PFL. Not sure if that is a permanent offering or not, but try the pumpkin spice corn if you can. Delish! We really, really enjoyed our time here yesterday. We figured we would finally check out the new wine bar in town to start off 2019. This wine bar is very cozy and intimate, which I liked. My husband and I each ordered a flight, and all of the wines we tried were delicious. I personally would recommend "Violet Crown". There is also a wishing well outside where you can make a donation and make a wish by throwing a wine cork into the "well" - seemed very fitting for the first day of the new year! The only thing I did not like about this wine bar was the cost of their wines. My husband and I were shocked when we received our bill. Each flight was $20 (for 4 wines) and each glass of wine was $14. These prices are very high, especially for the area. We were expecting the glasses to be around $10 and the flights to be around $15, from our experience at similar places in the Central Texas area. We're happy we gave this place a try, but we plan to stick with the more affordable wine bars within a 30 minute drive of our house. read more

Great spot for a glass of wine or beer, owners are always willing to recommend a new wine for me based on my tastes, I've never gotten anything there I didn't like. Dog friendly patio and they always have sodas or Topo Chico for my kids who love to come and entertain themselves with patio games while we sit and listen to live music. The wine is good, but the service is underwhelming. The bottle I chose was half way full and I was given a standard 3oz. pour, but my friend was given double that amount. There were two pours left in the bottle my friend chose and the bartender decided to dispense both. I wouldn't mind so much if the price wasn't so high. I got the Tempranillo and it was $12 a glass. I wouldn't mind the price at all if the pour was commensurate. Either lower the price or serve a healthy pour across the board, not just to someone who happens to order from a nearly empty bottle. The bartender droned on for way too long about the wine's they choose to keep without serving us first. From entrance to first sip was unnecessarily about 20 minutes for 2 people. Yikes! The atmosphere is quaint inside; a little too small and a little too quiet for me. The outside patio is nice but no ashtrays for the smokers. There's also no one outside attending to patrons that I could have asked to bring me a refill or an ashtray, but they did have a live singer which was nice. Finally, as I was leaving I went back inside to settle my tab. I go up to the counter where the bartender who greeted us was talking to another patron about what seemed to be her desire to hang her art on their walls. I didn't want to interrupt so I politely stood behind the artist and made eye contact with the bartender multiple times so he'd get the hint. Nope, he didn't. If I had wanted a refill I would have changed my mind by the time someone had actually helped me. Someone else had to come in from outside and she saw me immediately and asked if I'd been helped. So there was a server outside but she never made contact with either person in my party. Fascinating. As soon as I told her I just wanted to settle up the other guy finally acknowledged me by saying "Whoops! And I've been over here talking and not paying attention!" Yeah, you think? I want to be clear that the 1 star I'm giving is only for the talented, engaging entertainer. read more
