I love irony…read more Against my better logical judgment about spending close to CHF6 ($6) on a tall Americano, I dropped by this Starbucks because I find it humorously ironic that it is just next door to what seems to be one of the most famous cafes in Geneva. I also find it ironic that in a region that makes me feel like a fraud for having sustained a coffee addiction on non-European coffee, this is the one place where I've had to wait in line for a cup of coffee. The ground floor is tight but they've made pretty good use of the upper level, so it's not too difficult to find a seat if you're willing to share a table. Coffee is standard Starbucks, baristas are adequately friendly, and speak English very well. They have free wifi, but your bandwidth gets reduced after the first hour. The only other place I've been able to locate to study on weekends is Boreal next to the Stand bus stop. Boreal has better coffee, better atmosphere, and better prices, but that place gets crazy packed with people who park themselves there for HOURS. All things considered, Starbucks is an adequate substitute as long as you're not looking for an amazing cup of coffee.

I give a 3-stars because this is just overpriced for a Coffee like Starbucks. I mean this is a Starbucks, not a Palace. 5.90 CHF for a Tall Latté is just overpriced. I have to say that the taste of Latté is a little bit different in Switzerland. You taste less the burnt roast from Starbucks in Switzerland compared to a Latté in the US. Maybe the Milk? Who knows... This Starbucks is clean but always busy. It's still a good place to bring your laptop and enjoy 1hr high-speed internet, then the speed is reduced automatically.
