This Mulholland's has a particularly large selection of miniatures, which could well be the reason it managed to stay open while Threshers went into administration. There isn't much else you need to know. If it's cheap booze you want, cheap booze is what you'll get.

Also a good selection of wines, and if your on a budget, the classic 2 for a fiver is a deal which can't hurt. Now that it's Mulled wine season as well the 2 for a fiver on both reds becomes a fundamentally important deal.

They quite literally just sell alcohol (and chocolate) as far as I can remember. Admittedly, the majority of my visits to this place inevitably occurred once I was inebriated and on the prowl for more (highly unnecessary) booze to take to a party! The selection is pretty good and as promised, they do stock wine and beer from around the world. They also stock some truly shocking wine, sometimes for as little as £5 for 2 bottles, which can't be sniffed at in these penny pinching times, even if it is a wee bit vinegary! They also do deals on cans of beer. This place is open late, so great if you're in need of after-hours alcohol, but if Sainsbury's is still open, cross over the road my friend...you'll get a finer wine for your pennies!
