I have been attending service here for a few months and was watching their services online before…read morethat. I love Calvary Chapel Gulf Coast. The members are all very friendly and welcoming. Pastor Bill teaches directly from scripture. It is a Bible based church that teaches the New Testament on Sunday service at 10 am and Wednesday evenings at 7 pm he teaches the Old Testament. They offer home fellowship groups, men's and women's groups. They also have a beautiful dining area where they gather to socialize after service on Sunday with a bountiful of delicious food that all are welcome to join in on. As well as a smaller cafe area that has a coffee counter to enjoy and meet people before Sunday service. There is a bookstore providing a vast selection of Christian books and Bibles along with some gifts items. Service on Sunday begins with worship music and ends in worship music. Calvary churches are worldwide and the movie "The Jesus Revolution", was the story of its history about Pastor Chuck Smith. If you are looking for a Christian Bible based church to attend, I highly recommend CCGC.

They will not make you uncomfortable or try to sign you up for a long term commitment.. I don't have Bible history. I don't know all the stories and meanings. Pastor Bill led me to understand more about the meaning without politics and guilt. He led me from doubting to believing. Parking is huge and they have a cart if needed. Seating is open and plenty in the off season. A little crowded during the winter season. Its well worth a try if you want to know more about the Bible and its life lessons.

Sounds like this congregation is smaller than their University location, but still lots of people there and the room was still full (in case you're one of those people who want to attend but not be noticed too much). Praise band had nice voices and was uplifting. Approx 30 min of singing before any message, which got a touch long for me, but was fine. Message was short today due to some work the church will be doing in the community. Will need to try again when it's more of a typical service with full message from the pastor. It's obvious the church is committed to being the hands of God in the community right now helping people recover from hurricane damage in any way possible.

Sandal friendly, pet friendly, chairs provided and there is usually coffee and dough nuts provided, too. The service is short and sweet, the message is always inspirational and based on real life experiences of the pastor and his staff. They are very transparent and honest with their lives and the church. It's been great fortune that my family discovered the church on accident, while walking the dog on a Sunday morning. They have tot, kids and teen programs, too. People of all ages attend. They also have organized events, holiday events and women's ministry meetsup on a monthly basis.
