After the last time that she had left and returned for the session, I noticed a God aweful, Disgusting smell coming from her. My guess was that she had somehow shat herself. I should have gotten up and discontinued my session right there and then. To my absolute disgust I realized that her hands and forearms had been all over my body ( not private parts of course) for the last hour while she was completing the massage. upon checking out, the girl at the front desk stated that the therapist had a case of diarrhea. OMG what a health hazzard, exposing me to possible viruses. I immediately went home and Scrubed my body. My lesson is this... if you have a gut feeling that something is way off... follow your gut. I am angry that the salon owners put me in that situation by allowing her to work on a client while she was obviously going through some kind of health crisis. should I report this to the health board or just hope that they use better judgment in the future.

My masseuse was aggressive with the face scrub and berated me for "not washing my face good enough" because I had a few blackheads on my nose. Teenagers tend to have oily skin, it had nothing to do with my cleanliness! To make matters worse, at the time I struggled with depression due to my physically/emotionally abusive mom, and I would cope with self harm on my arm. I bandaged one arm and specifically asked for it to be left alone on a form beforehand. My masseuse confirmed at the beginning of the massage that it was to be left alone. During the massage, she continually demanded to know why the arm was bandaged, so I told her it had been injured. She proceeded to rip the bandage off and began nastily and loudly commenting about it, showing the other masseuse, and showed my mother, aka the cause of this problem and the person encouraging me to "do worse next time." Obviously my mother did not care, and the masseuse seemed more concerned with making nasty comments about it. Regardless of the injury, this was completely inappropriate behavior and out of line. Why would you ever make nasty comments about that kind of thing in a disgusted tone of voice? I really don't think the people they hire here are kind or understanding, nor are they proficient in the services they provide. I would never spend my money here as a grown woman.

This last time in particular was quite a spectacle because we were both riddled with knots in our shoulders. They used their entire body's force to kneed out the knots we had. It was overwhelming at first and we were frequently asked if it was too much, but we let them continued and as I'm writing this, the soreness has gone away and we both feel a lot better. We pretty much had a deep tissue massage for the price of a full body massage, so that was nice! If you're looking to experiment with getting massages to either de-stress or to have some actual issues resolved for yourself, come to Massage Green! Any location will do in the northern Metro Detroit area, but the Troy one is definitely our favorite.
